Cucumber is.one of the important vegetables.in many countries. Information about phys.cal properties.of cucumber is.neces.ary for des.gning, grading, s.rting and proces.ing operations. In this.s.udy, s.me phys.cal properties.s.ch as.diameter, length, height, and weight of three varieties.of cucumber （Green Gold, Dharwad, and s.per Dominus. were meas.red. The res.lts.revealed that there was.no s.gnificant difference （P〈0.01） in the dens.ty values.of the s.udied varieties. but regarding other phys.cal properties.there were a s.gnificant difference （P〈0.01） among them. The average dens.ty for Green Gold, Dharwad and s.per Dominus.were 0.98, 0.95 and 0.94 g/cm^3, res.ectively. Green Gold cucumber had the highes. diameter, volume, weight, fles. diameter, geometric mean diameter and s.hericity. Dharwad and s.per Dominus.varieties.with 15.49 cm length and 4.61 length to diameter ratio had the highes. length and length to diameter ratio, res.ectively. s.alles. s.in thicknes. （1.48 cm） was.for s.per Dominus. s.rface area of Green Gold, Dharwad and s.per Dominus.were 192.29, 192.4 and 131.2 cm^2. As.well as.there was.a high and pos.tive correlation between weight and volume in the s.udied varieties. There was.a non-s.gnificant and low correlation （0.56） between diameter and length in s.per Dominus. There was.als. a high and pos.tive correlation between diameter and geometric mean diameter in all the varieties.

Today＇s.cus.omers.are looking for non-fat or low-fat containing products. One of the methods.to reduce oil abs.rption in fried products.is.partial drying before frying. In this.s.udy, influence of partial drying （10 min, 20 min, 30 min） on oil abs.rption and quality attributes.of three potato cultivars.（Agria, s.tina, kenebek） was.evaluated. Our res.lts.reveled that in Agria, partial drying leads.to an increas. in oil abs.rption compared with non-dried s.mple （p〈0.05）. In kenebek, partial drying reduced the oil abs.rption and improved the texture and color of the produced French fries.（p〈0.05）. s.milar res.lts.were obs.rved with s.tina as.with kenebek. In all three varieties. partial drying increas.d the dry matter, color quality and required cutting force of the French fries.（p〈0.05）.

This.paper inves.igates.the free vibration and trans.ent res.ons. of interconnected s.ructures.including double curved beams.and intermediate s.raight beams.which are all cons.ructed from functionally graded porous.FGP) materials. The s.rain potential and kinetic energies.of each beam along with the work done by the external force are calculated. Additionally, a higher-order beam element is.introduced to derive s.iffnes. and mas. matrices. along with the force vector. The curved and s.raight beams.are dis.retized, and their as.embled s.iffnes., mas. matrices. and force vectors. are *** conditions.at the joints.are us.d to derive the total matrices.of the entire s.ructure. s.bs.quently, the natural frequencies.and trans.ent res.ons. of the s.s.em are determined. The accuracy of the mathematical model and the s.lf-developed computer program is.validated through the comparis.n of the obtained res.lts.with thos. of the exis.ing literature and commercial s.ftware ANs.s. demons.rating excellent ***, a comprehens.ve s.udy is.conducted to inves.igate the effects.of various.parameters.on the free vibration and trans.ent res.ons. of the cons.dered s.ructure.

This.paper pres.nts.a combined application of the finite element method （FEM） and the differential quadrature method （DQM） to vibration and buckling problems.of rectangular plates. The propos.d s.heme combines.the geometry flexibility of the FEM and the high accuracy and efficiency of the DQM. The accuracy of the pres.nt method is.demons.rated by comparing the obtained res.lts.with thos. available in the literature. It is.s.own that highly accurate res.lts.can be obtained by us.ng a s.all number of finite elements.and DQM s.mple points. The propos.d method is.s.itable for the problems.cons.dered due to its.s.mplicity and potential for further development.

The generation of terahertz(THz)waves.via the beating of two high-intens.ty chirped Gaus.ian las.rs.in a multi-ion-s.ecies.plas.a is.numerically s.udied by taking into account the weak relativis.ic and ponderomotive regime of *** coupled differential equations.for beamwidth parameters.are extracted by introducing the dielectric function of s.ch plas.a and us.ng WKB and paraxial ray *** amplitude of THz radiation at beat frequency res.lting from the nonlinear current dens.ty induced by the beat ponderomotive force of the cros.-focus.ng of beams.was.*** impacts.of the chirp frequency parameter,initial las.r intens.ty and initial ionic s.ecies.dens.ty(s.ecifically,the pres.nce of s.ngly and doubly charged ions.in the plas.a on THz generation were *** numerical res.lts.reveal that THz radiation generation s.rongly depends.on the chirp frequency parameter.A s.ecific range of chirp frequencies.exis.s.for s.lf-focus.ng as.well as.THz generation with a'turning point',where the THz emis.ion reaches.its.maximum *** res.lts.s.ow that the s.rength of s.lf-focus.ng and cons.quently the generated THz radiation are reduced by increas.ng the dens.ty of doubly charged ionic s.ecies.in the plas.a due to the s.ppres.ion of the nonlinear effects.

In this.paper, the nonlinear interaction of ultra-high power las.r beam with fus.on plas.a at relativis.ic regime in the pres.nce of obliquely external magnetic field has.been s.udied. Impos.ng an external magnetic field on plas.a can modify the dens.ty profile of the plas.a s. that the thermal conductivity of electrons.reduces.which is.cons.dered to be the decreas. of the thres.old energy for ignition. To achieve the fus.on of Hydrogen–Boron(HB) fuel,the block acceleration model of plas.a is.employed. Energy production by HB is.topes.can be of interes., s.nce its.reaction does.not generate radioactive tritium. By us.ng the inhibit factor in the block model acceleration of plas.a and Maxwell's.as.well as.the momentum trans.er equations. the electron dens.ty dis.ribution and dielectric permittivity of the plas.a medium are obtained. Numerical res.lts.indicate that with increas.ng the intens.ty of the external magnetic field, the os.illation of the las.r magnetic field decreas.s. while the dielectric permittivity increas.s. Moreover, the amplitude of the electron dens.ty becomes.highly peaked and the plas.a electrons.are s.rongly bunched with increas.ng the intens.ty of external magnetic field. Therefore, the magnetized plas.a can act as.a pos.tive focus.ng lens.to enhance the fus.on proces.. Bes.des. we find that with increas.ng θ-angle(from oblique external magnetic field) between 0 and 90°, the dielectric permittivity increas.s. while for θ between 90° and 180°, the dielectric permittivity decreas.s.with increas.ng θ.

In this.paper,the non-harmonic res.nance of Bernoulli vis.oelas.ic beams.Kirchhoff vis.oelas.ic plates.Timos.enko vis.oelas.ic beams.and Mindlin vis.oelas.ic plates.s.bjected to time-dependent exponentially decreas.ng trans.ers. dis.ributed load is.inves.igated for the firs. *** cons.itutive equations.are expres.ed utilizing Boltzmann integral law with a cons.ant bulk *** dis.lacement vector is.approximated by employing the s.paration of variables.*** Laplace trans.ormation is.us.d to trans.er equations.from the time domain to the Laplace domain and vice *** novel point of the propos.d method is.to expres.,prove and calculate the critical time in which the dis.lacement will be s.veral times.the dis.lacement at time *** addition,this.new method calculates.the maximum deflection at the critical time,explicitly and exactly,without any need to follow the time-dis.lacement curve with a low computational ***,the propos.d method introduces.the critical range of time s. that the res.ons.s.are greater than the res.ons.s.at time zero.

The nonlocal nonlinear vibration analys.s.of embedded laminated micro- plates.res.ing on an elas.ic matrix as.an orthotropic Pas.ernak medium is.inves.igated. The s.all s.ze effects.of micro/nano-plate are cons.dered bas.d on the Eringen nonlocal theory. Bas.d on the orthotropic Mindlin plate theory along with the von Kármán geo- metric nonlinearity and Hamilton＇s.principle, the governing equations.are derived. The differential quadrature method （DQM） is.applied for obtaining the nonlinear frequency of s.s.em. The effects.of different parameters.s.ch as.nonlocal parameters. elas.ic me- dia, as.ect ratios. and boundary conditions.are cons.dered on the nonlinear vibration of the micro-plate. Res.lts.s.ow that cons.dering elas.ic medium increas.s.the nonlinear frequency of s.s.em. F^lrthermore, the effect of boundary conditions.becomes.lower at higher nonlocal parameters.
