One-neutron s.ripping proces. between^(6)Li and^(209)Bi was.s.udied at 28,30,and 34 MeV us.ng the in-beamγ-ray s.ectros.opy ***γ-γcoincident analys.s.clearly identified twoγ-rays.feeding the ground and long-lived is.meric s.ates.which were employed to determine the cros. *** one-neutron s.ripping cros. s.ctions.were s.milar to the cros. s.ctions.of complete fus.on in the^(6)Li+^(209)Bi s.s.em,but the one-neutron s.ripping cros. s.ctions.decreas.d more gradually at the s.b-barrier region.A coupled-reaction-channel calculation was.performed to s.udy the detailed reaction mechanis. of the one-neutron s.ripping proces. in^(6)*** calculations.indicated that the firs. excited s.ate of 5 Li is.critical in the actual one-neutron trans.er mechanis.,and the valence proton of 209Bi can be excited to the low-lying excited s.ate in(^(6)Li,^(5)Li)reaction,unlike in the(d,p)reaction.

We have recently propos.d a new technique of plas.a tailoring by las.r-driven hydrodynamic s.ockwaves.generated on both s.des.of a gas.j.t[Marquès.et al.,*** 28,023103(2021)].In a continuation of this.numerical work,we s.udy experimentally the influence of the tailoring on proton acceleration driven by a high-intens.ty picos.cond las.r in three cas.s.without tailoring,by tailoring only the entrance s.de of the picos.cond las.r,and by tailoring both s.des.of the gas.*** tailoring,the acceleration is.trans.ers. to the las.r axis.with a low-energy exponential s.ectrum,produced by Coulomb *** the front s.de of the gas.j.t is.tailored,a forward acceleration appears.which is.s.gnificantly enhanced when both the front and back s.des.of the plas.a are *** forward acceleration produces.higher-energy protons.with a peaked s.ectrum,and is.in good agreement with the mechanis. of collis.onles. s.ock acceleration(Cs.).The s.atiotemporal evolution of the plas.a profile is.characterized by optical s.adowgraphy of a probe *** refraction and abs.rption of this.beam are s.mulated by pos.-proces.ing 3D hydrodynamic s.mulations.of the plas.a *** with the experimental res.lts.allows.es.imation of the thicknes. and near-critical dens.ty of the plas.a s.ab produced by tailoring both s.des.of the gas.*** parameters.are in good agreement with thos. required for Cs..

Effect of Plas.a on the Zeta Potential of Cotton Fabrics

In this.work, the effect of a low-temperature plas.a on the zeta potential of cotton fabric was.s.udied. The s.lver particle abs.rption on cotton fabric when modified by a low-temperature plas.a was.als. inves.igated. The modification cons.s.ed of plas.a pre functionalization followed by a one-s.ep wet treatment with s.lver nitrate s.lution. The proces. was.performed in a low-temperature plas.a medium, us.ng a magnetron s.uttering device. Oxygen and nitrogen were us.d as.working gas.s.in the s.s.em, and the res.lts.were compared. After preparing the s.mples. the zeta potentials.of the untreated and plas.a-treated cotton under a cons.ant pH value s.lution were es.imated and compared. Als., Fourier trans.orm infrared s.ec tros.opy （FTIR） was.us.d to examine the functional groups.of the corres.onding s.mples. The amounts.of s.lver abs.rption on plas.a treated and untreated cotton were examined us.ng the energy dis.ers.ve X-ray （EDX） method. The res.lts.s.ow that the amount of zeta potential for the nitrogen plas.a treated s.mple is.les. and the abs.rption of s.lver particles.by cotton can be increas.d s.rongly with nitrogen plas.a treatment.

Healthcare was.es.contain potentially harmful microorganis.s. inorganic and organic compounds.that pos. a ris. to human health and the environment. Incineration is.a common method employed in healthcare was.e management to reduce volume, quantity, toxicity as.well as.elimination of microorganis.s. However, s.me of the s.bs.ances.remain unchanged during incineration and become part of bottom as., s.ch as.heavy metals.and pers.s.ent organic pollutants. Monitoring of pollution by heavy metals.is.important s.nce their concentrations.in the environment affect public health. The goal of this.s.udy was.to determine the levels.of Copper (Cu), Zinc (Zn) Lead (Pb), Cadmium (Cd) and Nickel (Ni) in the incinerator bottom as. in five s.lected County hos.itals.in Kenya. Bottom as. s.mples.were collected over a period of s.x months. s.mple preparation and treatment were done us.ng s.andard methods. Analys.s.of the heavy metals.were done us.ng atomic abs.rption s.ectrophotometer, model AA-6200. One-Way Analys.s.of Variance (ANOVA) was.performed to determine whether there were s.gnificant differences.on the mean levels.of Cu, Zn, Pd, Cd and Ni in incinerator bottom as. from the five s.mpling locations. A pos.-hoc Tukey’s.Tes. (Hs.) was.us.d to determine if there were s.gnificant differences.between and within s.mples. The s.gnificant differences.were accepted at p ≤ 0.05. To s.andardize the res.lts. overall mean of each metal from each s.te was.calculated. The metal mean concentration values.were compared with exis.ing permis.ible levels.s.t by the WHO. The concentrations.(mg/kg) were in the range of 102.27 - 192.53 for Cu, Zn (131.68 - 2840.85), Pb (41.06 - 303.96), Cd (1.92 - 20.49) whereas.Ni was.(13.83 - 38.27) with a mean of 150.76 ± 77.88 for Copper, 131.66 ± 1598.95 for Zinc, 234.60 ± 262.76 for Lead, 12.256 ± 10.86 for Cadmium and 29.45 ± 18.24 for Nickel acros. the five s.mpling locations. Introduction: Uterine leiomyomas. or fibroids. are prevalent benign tumors.affecting up to 70% of reproductive-age women in the United s.ates. s.gnificantly impacting productivity and quality of life. Des.ite their commonality, the epidemiology and clinical patterns.of leiomyomas.in Puerto Rico remain inadequately res.arched. Methods. This.s.udy conducted a s.condary data analys.s.us.ng clinical, mens.rual cycle characteris.ics. and demographic data from s.lf-adminis.ered ques.ionnaires.of women undergoing diagnos.ic laparos.opy for endometrios.s.in Puerto Rico. Chi-s.uare tes.s.and t-tes.s.analyzed categorical and continuous.variables. res.ectively (p Res.lts. Among 1,610 endometrios.s.cas.s. 312 included uterine fibroids. Prevalence es.imates.were 10.3% (40 years.. Primiparous.women averaged 22.14 years. with 40.71% having 2 - 3 pregnancies.and 26.28% experiencing mis.arriages. s.mptoms.included infertility (29.5%), dys.areunia (40.7%), s.vere pain (50%), and dys.enorrhea (75.6%). Comorbidities.included ovarian cys.s.(52.2%) and abnormal uterine bleeding (37.8%). Conclus.ons. Advanced age, parity, and comorbidities.like diabetes.and hypertens.on were prevalent in our cohort. Unders.anding the epidemiological profile of women living in Puerto Rico with uterine fibroids.is.crucial for improving diagnos.ic awarenes. and enhancing patient care.

An externally generated res.nant magnetic perturbation can induce complex non-ideal MHD res.ons.s.in their res.nant *** have s.udied the plas.a res.ons.s.us.ng Fitzpatrick's.improved two-fluid model and program *** calculated the error field penetration thres.old for *** addition,we find that the is.and width increas.s.s.ightly as.the error field amplitude increas.s.when the error field amplitude is.below the critical penetration ***,the is.and width s.ddenly j.mps.to a large value becaus. the s.ielding effect of the plas.a agains. the error field dis.ppears.after the *** s.anning the natural mode frequency,we find that the s.ielding effect of the plas.a decreas.s.as.the natural mode frequency ***,we obtain the m/n=2/1 penetration thres.old s.aling on dens.ty and temperature.
