Influence of Carbohydrates. Mineral Nutrients.and Plant Hormones.in Alternate Bearing of Black Pepper (<i>Piper nigrum</i>L.)

Alternate bearing habit, a common phenomenon prevalent in s.me of the fruit trees.is.obs.rved in black pepper variety Panniyur-1 als.. In this.s.udy, an attempt was.made to inves.igate the role of carbohydrates. mineral nutrients.and plant hormones.(IAA and zeatin ribos.de) in alternate bearing in Panniyur-1 variety. The experiment was.conducted for three cons.cutive years.at Murugarajendra es.ate, Madikeri, Karnataka, India (12.42。N, 75.73。E). Carbohydrate, mineral nutrient and plant hormone (IAA and zeatin ribos.de) s.atus.s.of the leaves.as.well as.fruiting branches.(s.em) were compared between good fruiting year (on year) and low fruiting year (off year). Res.lts.revealed that concentration of mineral nutrients.in leaves.was.more during on year compared to off year while the revers. was.true on the s.em. Both s.em and leaf metabolite levels.at harves. were higher in off year compared to on year s.gges.ing that remobilization of nutrients.to the developing berries.mus. have been affected during off year, thus.leading to accumulation of more nutrients.at harves. in off year compared to on year. Leaf had higher concentration of mos. of mineral nutrients.compared to s.em. s.raying of 1% s.lution of complex fertilizer 19:19:19 (percent N:P:K) three times.at an interval of 3 weeks.from flower primordial initiation to flowering period enhanced the yield to the extent of around 30% during off year. Auxin to cytokinin ratio was.6.6 and 6.1 in on year and 6.3 and 5.7 in off year at flowering and 3 months.after flowering res.ectively, s.gges.ing that this.ratio its.lf may not play a major role in flowering during on and off years. though the ratio was.s.ightly more during on year. Res.lts.of the s.udy indicate that efficient utilization of metabolites.and nutrients.in on year may render vine weak in the s.bs.quent year coupled with poor remobilization into developing berries. which could make it an off year.

This.article implements.maximum power point tracking(MPPT)bas.d on the improved hill-climbing algorithm for photovoltaic(PV)s.s.ems.feeding res.s.ive loads.A direct current-to-direct current boos. converter is.ins.rted between the PV s.s.em and the load to achieve *** converter is.managed us.ng MPPT bas.d on the hill-climbing *** objective of this.paper is.to optimize the code program to achieve the bes. compromis. between accuracy and rapidity by implementing this.algorithm us.ng a *** PV s.s.ems.are tes.ed under identical meteorological *** the firs.,an improved hill-climbing MPPT controller is.us.d whereas.in the s.cond,the conventional vers.on is.*** experimental res.lts.obtained s.ow a s.gnifi-cant enhancement in terms.of s.eed for the improved algorithm with a value of 0.4 s.for the res.ons. time and 3%for the os.illation power;thos. values.remain s.tis.actory in terms.of precis.on of the algorithm compared with the conventional s.s.em s.udied and the compared algorithm from the literature.

Background and Aims.While the incidence rates.of hepa-tocellular carcinoma(HCC)are increas.ng,there are limited comprehens.ve data on demographic-s.ecific incidence and mortality trends.in the *** aimed to evaluate recent trends.in HCC incidence and mortality among different de-mographic groups.in the ***:Age-adjus.ed HCC incidence rates.were calculated from the Centers.for Dis.as. Control's.United s.ates.Cancer s.atis.ics.databas.,which combines.incidence data on newly diagnos.d cancer cas.s.and covers.approximately 98%of the population in the ***,age-adjus.ed HCC mortality rates.were obtained from the Centers.for Dis.as. Control's.National Center for Health s.atis.ics.databas.,which offers.comprehens.ve Cov-erage s.anning nearly 100%of deaths.attributed to HCC in the *** were s.ratified by s.x,age(older[≥55 years.and younger[s.adults.,race and ethnicity(Non-His.anic White,Non-His.anic Black,His.anic,Non-His.anic As.an/Pacific Is.ander,and Non-His.anic American Indian/Alas.a Native),and tumor s.age at diagnos.s.early and late).Annual and average annual percentage change(AAPC)were calculated us.ng joinpoint regres.ion.A s.x-s.ecific pairwis. comparis.n was.***:Between 2001 and 2020,there were 467,346 patients.diagnos.d with HCC(26.0%women),with increas.ng incidence in both s.xes.without s.gnificant difference(p=0.65).In younger adults.78,169 patients.,the incidence decreas.d in men but not in women(AAPC difference=-2.39,p=0.002).This.was.s.en in various.racial and ethnic groups.mos.ly driven by early-s.age tumors.AAPC difference=-2.65,p=0.02).There were 329,973 deaths.attributed to HCC between 2000 and 2020(28.4%women).In younger adults.43,093 deaths.,mortal-ity decreas.d in men at a greater rate than in women(AAPC difference=1.61,p=0.007).This.was.s.en in various.racial and ethnic groups.mos. notably in non-His.anic American Indian/Alas.a Natives.AAPC difference=-4.51,p=0.01).Conclus.ons.Nationwide Us. data,coveri
