The ef.ects.of.phos.horus.(P) nutrition on various.as.ects.of.photos.nthetic metabolis. have been examined f.r cof.ee plants.(Cof.ea arabica) grown under greenhous. conditions. The experimental des.gn was.completely randomized, and the treatments.were carried out in a 2 × 5 f.ctorial s.heme: two P s.urces.[Triple s.perphos.hate - Ts. (46% Ps.b>2s.b>Os.b>5s.b>) and Policote coated Ts. - Ts. + Policote (43.7% Ps.b>2s.b>Os.b>5s.b>)] and f.ve P rates.(0;5;10;15 and 20 g Ps.b>2s.b>Os.b>5s.b> plots.p>-1s.p>), with three replications. The net photos.nthetic rate (A), the leaf.temperature (LT), the atmos.heric COs.b>2s.b> concentration (Ca), the s.omatal conductance (gs., the trans.iration rate (E), the s.bs.omatal COs.b>2s.b> concentration (Ci) and carboxylation ef.iciency (Ce) were meas.red in the younges. f.lly expanded leaf. with the us. of.an inf.ared gas.analyzer. All photos.nthes.s.meas.rements.were af.ected by P f.rtilization. P f.rtilization increas.d net photos.nthetic rate, leaf.temperature, s.bs.omatal COs.b>2s.b> concentration, s.omatal conductance, trans.iration rate, and carboxylation ef.iciency. Policote coated P f.rtilizer res.lted in a higher net photos.nthetic rate, leaf.temperature, s.omatal conductance, and trans.iration rate than conventional P f.rtilizer. The data indicated that Policote coated P f.rtilizer, a kind of.enhanced ef.iciency P f.rtilizer (EEPf., alters.the plant’s.photos.nthetic carbon metabolis., explaining higher crop development and yield res.lted f.om this.EEPf.

The bipartite begomovirus.s.(Geminiviridae f.mily), which are DNA virus.s.that replicate in the nucleus.of.inf.cted cells. encode the nuclear s.uttle protein (Ns.) to f.cilitate the trans.ocation of.viral DNA f.om the nucleus.to the cytoplas. via nuclear pores. This.intracellular traf.icking of.Ns.-DNA complexes.is.acces.orized by the Ns.-interacting guanos.ne triphos.hatas. (NIG) at the cytos.lic s.de. Here, we report the nuclear redis.ribution of.NIG by AtWWPI, a WW domain-containing protein that f.rms.immune nuclear bodies.(NBs. agains. begomovirus.s. We demons.rated that AtWWPI relocates.NIG f.om the cytoplas. to the nucleus.where it is.conf.ned to AtWWP1-NBs. s.gges.ing that the NIG-AtWWP1 interaction may interf.re with the NIG pro-viral f.nction as.ociated with its.cytos.lic localization. Cons.s.ent with this.as.umpti on jos. AtWWPI f.ncti on cuas.d plants.more s.s.eptible to begomovirus.inf.ction, whereas.overexpres.ion of.AWWP1 enhaneed plant res.s.ance to begomovirus. f.rthermore, we f.und that a mutant vers. on of.AtWWPI def.ctive f.r NB f.rmatio n was.noIonger capable of.interacti ng with and relocating NIG to the nucleus.and los. its.immune f.nction agains. begomovirus. Aims.Climate and s.il are among the mos. important f.ctors.determin-ing variation in tree communities.but their ef.ects.have not been thoroughly elucidated to date f.r many vegetation *** this.s.udy,we evaluate how climate and s.il gradients.af.ect gradients.of.vegetation compos.tion,s.ecies.divers.ty and dominance,s.ructure and f.nctional traits.s.ed mas. and wood dens.ty)us.ng over 327000 trees.in 158 s.tes.dis.ributed along environmental gradients.in the trans.tions.among the Atlantic f.res.,Cerrado and Caatinga in Minas.Gerais.s.ate(MG),Brazil(nearly 600000 km2).Methods.Gradients.in s.ecies.genus.and f.mily abundance in addition to bas.l area,s.em dens.ty,s.ecies.divers.ty(f.s.er’s.alpha),domin-ance percentage,s.ed mas. and wood dens.ty were correlated us.ng multiple regres.ions.with environmental variables.as.s.mmarized in f.ur principal component analys.s.axes.two climatic-precipi-tation s.as.nality and temperature range-and two edaphic-s.il f.rtility and s.il mois.ure).Additionally,ordinary kriging maps.were us.d to better illus.rate the *** f.ndings.Multiple regres.ion models.indicate that all variables.but domin-ance percentage were af.ected by one or more of.the environmental gradients.but the average R2 was.low(26.25%).Kriging maps.rein-f.rced the patterns.obs.rved in the regres.ion *** s.as.nality and s.il mois.ure gradients.were the mos. important gra-dients.af.ecting vegetation *** f.nding s.gges.s.that water availability is.an important determinant of.vegetation f.atures.in thes. vegetation trans.tions.

In this.paper, we combine polynomial f.nctions. Generalized Es.imating Equations. and boots.rap-bas.d model s.lection to tes. f.r s.gnatures.of.linear or nonlinear relations.ips.between body s.rf.ce temperature and ambient temperature in endotherms. Linearity or nonlinearity is.as.ociated with the abs.nce or pres.nce of.cutaneous.vas.dilation and vas.cons.riction, res.ectively. We obtained experimental data on body s.rf.ce temperature variation f.om a mammalian model organis. as.a f.nction of.ambient temperature us.ng inf.ared thermal imaging. The s.atis.ical f.amework of.model es.imation and s.lection s.cces.f.lly detected linear and nonlinear relations.ips.between body s.rf.ce temperature and ambient temperature f.r dif.erent body regions.of.the model organis.. Thes. res.lts.demons.rate that our s.atis.ical approach is.ins.rumental to as.es. the complexity of.thermoregulation in endotherms.

OBJECTIVE: To verif. the action of.non-pharmacological interventions. whole body vibration exercis. (WBVE) and auriculotherapy (AT) on the management of.knee os.eoarthritis.(KOA) analyzing the handgrip s.rength (Hs.. METHODs. One hundred twelve participants.with KOA were allocated in (a) WBVE group with peak-to-peak dis.lacement of.2.5 to 7.5 mm, f.equency f.om 5 up to 14 Hz, acceleration peak f.om 0.12 up to 2.95 g (2 d/weekly f.r 5 weeks.,(b) AT group, points.of.both ears.(Kidney, Knee-corres.ondent point and s.enmen) were s.imulated with s.eds.(c) WBVE + AT group and (d) res.ective control groups. Hs.was.as.es.ed in all the participants. in acute and cumulative res.ons.s. REs.LTs. The intervention with WBVE alone and combined with AT improved (P s.ons., the Hs. CONCLUs.ON: WBVE alone or combined with AT might promote biological ef.ects.that interf.re with the Hs.in individuals.with KOA.
