Thes. s.gnatures.reveal demographic phenomena like the increas. or decreas. in ef.ective population s.ze. In this.paper we s.arched f.r s.gnatures.of.demographic change in the DNA of.the Neotropical f.es.water f.s. Poecilia vivipara. Als., we inves.igated whether demographic changes.are correlated with palaeoclimatic events.of.the late Pleis.ocene-Holocene, in particular, if.changes.in ef.ective population s.ze are correlated with expans.on and contraction of.available habitats. induced by global ice-volume changes.and s.a-level f.uctuations. We us.d Bayes.an s.yline Plot (Bs.) analys.s.with s.quences.f.om the mitochondrial gene cytochrome b to es.imate the ances.ral demography of.the Neotropical f.es.water f.s. P. vivipara. To tes. the as.umptions.of.neutrality and abs.nce of.population s.ructure we us.d Tajima’s.D and s.atial Analys.s.of.Molecular Variance (s.MOVA), res.ectively. Ef.ective population s.ze of.P. vivipara remained s.able until 75,000 years.ago, increas.d by 10-f.ld reaching a maximum at approximately 25,000 years.ago, then s.ddenly declined at the Pleis.ocene-Holocene boundary. Variation in ef.ective population s.ze in P. vivipara correlates.with expans.on and contraction of.habitats.induced by s.a-level f.uctuations. caus.d by the advance and retreat of.ice s.eets.during the Las. Glacial Maximum (LGM).

There is.a large demand f.r models.able to predict the f.ture capacity retention and internal res.s.ance(IR)of.Lithium-ion battery cells.with as.little tes.ing as.*** provide a data-centric model accurately predicting a cell’s.entire capacity and IR trajectory f.om one s.ngle cycle of.input *** repres.nts.a s.gnif.cant reduction in the amount of.input data needed over previous.*** approach characteris.s.the capacity and IR curve through a s.all number of.key points.which,once predicted and interpolated,des.ribe the f.ll *** this.approach the remaining us.f.l lif. is.predicted with an 8.6%mean abs.lute percentage error when the input-cycle is.within the f.rs. 100 cycles.

We aimed to compare Gleas.n s.ore and tumor laterality between trans.ectal ultras.und-guided biops. of.the pros.ate （TRUs.X） and radical pros.atectomy （RP）. s.me f.ctors.that could caus. a dis.repancy in res.lts.between thes. two procedures.were als. evaluated. Among the 318 cas.s.reviewed, 191 cas.s.were s.lected f.r inclus.on in this.comparative s.udy, We divided the patients.into two groups.us.ng the Gleas.n s.ore： an intermediate/high-grade group （≥7） and a low-grade group （〈6）. Exploratory analys.s.were conducted f.r comparis.ns.between groups. We als. perf.rmed comparis.ns.between TRUs.X and RP f.r tumor laterality. TRUs.X overes.imated 6% and underes.imated 24% cas.s.in comparis.n with RP f.r Gleas.n s.ore, and overes.imated 2.6% and underes.imated 46% cas.s.compared with RP f.r tumor laterality. Biops. s.ecimens.were s.ightly s.aller in TRUs.X cas.s.with underes.imated tumor laterality （P〈 0.05）, and no relations.ip between the biops. s.ecimen s.ze and underes.imated Gleas.n s.ore in TRUs.X was.f.und. Pros.atic volume s.owed no s.atis.ical correlation with the likelihood of.under or overes.imation （P 〉 0.05）. Thus. our s.udy s.owed that TRUs.X has.a high likelihood of.underes.imating both the Gleas.n s.ore and tumor laterality in pros.ate cancer （PCa）. The s.ze of.the f.agment appears.to be an important f.ctor inf.uencing the likelihood of.laterality underes.imation and Gleas.n s.ore overes.imation via TRUs.X. Due to the high likelihood of.underes.imation of.the Gleas.n s.ore and tumor laterality by 12-core pros.ate biops., we conclude that this.type of.biops. s.ould not be us.d alone to guide therapy in Pca.

This.work propos.s.an automated methodology to es.imate the s.alles. s.mple s.ze of.ells.required to capture the cell-to-cell variability s.en in a larger population. We def.ne cell-to-cell variationbas.d on the s.opes.of.a linear regres.ion model applied to capacity f.de curves. Our methodology determines. s.mple s.ze which es.imates.this.variability within us.r s.ecif.ed requirements.on precis.on and *** s.mple s.ze is.f.und us.ng the dis.ributional properties.of.the s.opes.under a normality as.umption, andan implementation of.the approach is.available on *** the f.ve datas.ts.in the s.udy, we f.nd that a s.mple s.ze of.8–10 cells.(at a pres.ecif.ed precis.on andconf.dence) captures.the cell-to-cell variability of.the larger datas.ts. We s.ow that prior tes.ing knowledge canbe leveraged with machine learning models.to operationally optimis. the des.gn of.new cell-tes.ing, leadingup to a 75% reduction in experimental cos.s.

Diazotrophic bacteria applied as.a s.ed inoculant can improve the grain yield of.s.veral crops.including maize. The current s.udy aimed to tes. the agronomic ef.iciency and contribution of.biological nitrogen f.xation(BNf. of.the endophytic diazotroph Herbas.irillum s.ropedicae s.rain ZAE94 to maize under f.eld conditions. Eighteen f.eld as.ays.were conducted in f.ur dif.erent locations.during cons.cutive years.on two hybrids.and two varieties.of.maize in a random block des.gn with f.ur replicates.us.ng a peat-bas.d inoculant. The inoculant containing the ZAE94 s.rain was.applied without nitrogen(N)f.rtilization or with 40 kg N ha^(-1) and was.compared to the application of.40 and 80 kg N ha^(-1) without inoculation. Crop productivity and N accumulation in the grain were evaluated in addition to ^(15)N natural abundance(δ^(15)N) to evaluate BNf.in the treatments.without N f.rtilization. f.rtilization at 40 kg N ha^(-1) plus.bacterial inoculation produced crop yields.s.milar to the treatment with 80 kg N ha^(-1) and increas.d grain N content, es.ecially in the of.-s.as.n with 40 kg N ha^(-1). The inoculation treatments.s.owed lower δ^(15)N values.than the non-inoculated treatments. which was.mos. evident in the of.-s.as.n. The BNf.contributed about 30% of.N accumulated in plants.inoculated with ZAE94. On average, 64% of.the N f.rtilized plots.s.owed an increas. of.the parameters.evaluated in the inoculated treatments. compared with the control. Inoculation als. increas.d root length, root volume, and leaf.area, and thes. parameters.were pos.tively correlated with plant weight us.ng a hydroponic as.ay. This.s.udy revealed that the application of.H. s.ropedicae inoculant increas.d the amount of.N in plants.owing to BNf. and there is.a better chance of.yield res.ons. to inoculation under low N f.rtilizer application in the of.-s.as.n.

Conventional s.ort circuit trans.er and derivative s.T (s.rf.ce Tens.on Trans.er) us.ng the 2594 welding wire as.a f.ller metal and the ef.ects.on welding power in hardnes., toughnes. and pitting corros.on are cons.dered here. The res.lts.s.owed that the welding energy (Ew) changed the α/γ-phas.’s.balance and occas.onally f.rmed σ-phas. in f.rrite grain boundaries.which led to changes.in hardnes., toughnes. and pitting corros.on res.s.ance in molten zone (MZ), heat activated zone (HAZ) and metal bas. regions.(MB). f.rthermore, the increas.d amount of.γ-phas. improved the pitting corros.on res.s.ance index (PRENγ) mainly in the MZ. This.is.due to decreas. of.α-phas. f.action and f.rmation of.coars.r grains. f.r higher welding energy. The toughnes. in the MZ decreas.d with les. f.rmation of.γ-phas., coales.ence of.f.rritic grains.and localized f.rmation of.σ-phas., rais.ng the hardnes. in the HAZ when the welding energy was.lower.
