Introduction: The mycos.s.fungoides.(MF) is.the mos. common cutaneous.T-cell lymphomas.repres.nting about 50% of all cutaneous.lymphomas. Its.pathogenes.s.remains.poorly unders.ood. Thus. its.ris.ng incidence rates.call for an explanation. s.veral environmental and occupational factors.have been implicated in the pathogenes.s.of this.dis.as.. Objective: To determine the potential occupational factors.correlated in the occurrence of MF. Methods. Cas.-control s.udy was.carried out at the teaching Hos.ital Farhat Hached of s.us.e (Tunis.a) to inves.igate as.ociations.of MF and occupational ris. factors. A ques.ionnaire on lifetime job his.ory was.adminis.ered to 24 cas.s.and controls. Cas.s.were patients.with MF and whos. diagnos.s.was.s.s.ected by a dermatologis. and confirmed by pathological examination. Controls.were patients.cons.lting in the occupational medicine department and matched to cas.s.by age and gender. Bivariate analys.s.was.us.d to calculate odds.ratios.(OR) and 95% confidence intervals.(CI). Res.lts. The average age of ons.t of the dis.as. was.55.41 ± 17.4 years.with a s.x ratio of 2.42. We found an increas.d ris. of MF as.ociated with tobacco cons.mption higher than 40 Pack-year (OR = 6.6;95% CI = 1.22 to 35.4), exercis. in the textile s.ctor (OR = 9.4;CI = 1.06 to 84.3) and expos.re to dies.l exhaus. (OR = 9.47;95% CI = 1.06 to 84.3). Conclus.on: Occupational factors.could play a role in the pathogenes.s.of MF. Regarding our s.udy, s.oking, working in the textile indus.ry and expos.re to dies.l exhaus. appear to be involved in the pathogenes.s.of MF. Further inves.igation is.needed to confirm thes. findings.

Background: In recent decades. the incidence of children’s.hematological malignancies.has.been increas.ng worldwide including Tunis.a. Their s.verity is.reflected in the importance of the medical, s.cial and economic impact. This.increas. remains.fully unexplained, and the involvement of genetic, environmental and occupational factors.is.s.rongly s.s.ected. Materials.and methods. Our s.udy was.a cros.-s.ctional s.rvey of the type cas.-control conducted in the Univers.ty Hos.ital of Farhat Hached of s.us.e during the period ranging between 1 July 2011 and 30 June 2012, and which included children with acute leukemia compared to children unharmed by neoplas.ic dis.as.. Cas.s.and controls.were matched by age and gender. Our objective was.to des.ribe the s.cio-occupational characteris.ics.of the parents.of children with acute leukemia and to identify potential occupational factors.implicated in the genes.s.of acute leukemia. Res.lts. The number of acute leukemia cas.s.in the Hematology s.rvice and day hos.ital of the Univers.ty Hos.ital of Farhat Hached during the s.udy period was.66 cas.s.divided into in 40 boys.and 26 girls.with a s.x ratio of 1.53. Our cas.s.and controls.were matched by age and gender. The ris. of incidence of leukemia in children from s.oking fathers.was.higher (p = 0.02, OR = 2.24, IC = [1.11 - 4.52]). The ris. of incidence of leukemia in children from alcoholic fathers.was.higher with p = 0.009, OR = 3.9;CI = [1.33 - 11.39]. After adjus.ing different variables. the difference pers.s.ed s.gnificantly with pa = 0.03 and ORa = 3.5, ICa = [1.09 - 11.6]. 25.7% of cas.s.had a family his.ory of blood dis.as. and neoplas.a, whereas.no control pres.nted that. The difference was.s.atis.ically s.gnificant (p = 0.006, OR = 1.46, IC = [1.38 - 1.56]). The parental occupational expos.res.as.ociated to the occurrence of acute leukemia in children were pes.icides.with a s.atis.ically s.gnificant difference (p = 0.03, OR = 2.94, IC = [1.06 - 8.13]). N-doped mes.porous.alumina for ads.rption of carbon dioxide

N-doped mes.porous.alumina has.been s.nthes.zed us.ng chitos.n as.the biopolymer template. The ads.rbent has.been thoroughly inves.igated for the ads.rption of CO2 from a s.mulated flue gas.s.ream （15% CO2 balanced with N2） and compared with commercially available mes.porous.alumina procured from s.s.L, Germany. CO2 ads.rption was.s.udied under different conditions.of pre- treatment and ads.rption temperature, inlet CO2 concentration and in the pres.nce of oxygen and mois.ure. The ads.rption capacity was.determined to be 29.4 nag CO2/g of ads.rbent at 55℃. This.value was.obs.rved to be 4 times.higher in comparis.n to that of commercial mes.porous.alumina at a temperature of 55℃. Bas.city of alumina s.rface coupled with the pres.nce of nitrogen in template in s.nthes.zed s.mple is.res.ons.ble for this.enhanced CO2 ads.rption. Ads.rption capacity for CO2 was.retained in the pres.nce of oxygen; however mois.ure had a deteriorating effect on the ads.rption capacity reducing it to nearly half the value.

Background. Cutaneous.extras.eletal Ewing s.s.rcoma is.rare, being s.en principally in children. We report a cas. of cutaneous.s.rcoma in the s.le of the foot in a child. Cas. report. A 9-yearold child with no medical his.ory of note was.pres.nting a s.in tumor for 3months.on the heel of the right foot. This.tumor was.burgeoning and painful and meas.red 3.5cm in diameter; it was.ulcerative at the s.rface and covered with a crus.. His.ological and immunohis.ochemical examinations.confirmed the diagnos.s.of Ewing s.s.rcoma. s.aging examinations.proved negative and the patient underwent polychemotherapy, res.lting in complete regres.ion of the tumor. Comments. Until 1998, 37 cas.s.of cutaneous.and s.bcutaneous.Ewing s.s.rcoma were reported, being s.en in 21 girls.and 16 boys. Mean age at diagnos.s.was.15 years.and mean tumor s.ze was.3 cm (range: 1 to 12 cm). The tumors.were obs.rved throughout the body, being s.en in the s.le of the foot in 2 cas.s. Confirmation of the diagnos.s.was.made by his.ological examination (malignant proliferation of s.all round cells.in the dermis., immunohis.ochemical examination (CD99+ ) and cytogenetic analys.s.(trans.ocation between chromos.mes.22 and 11). The prognos.s.for cutaneous.Ewing s.s.rcoma appears.more favorable than that of Ewing s.s.rcoma in bone. Of the 37 patients.treated, 7 had metas.as.s.and 2 pres.nted relaps.. Treatment for cutaneous.Ewing s.s.rcoma, though not codified, cons.s.s.of polychemotherapy as.ociated with s.rgery and/or radiotherapy.

Introduction: The expos.re to s.ift works. and es.ecially to night s.ift, goes.agains. the circadian rythmicity of the s.cial man, which brings.about a multitude of dis.uptive effects.on health. In a hos.ital environment, s.ch night s.ift is.neces.ary s. as.to ens.re the continuity of care. s.eep and vigilance dis.rders.related to this.work mode are frequent and often pos. adaptation problems. The objective of this.s.udy is.to detect the harmful effects.of night s.ift on s.eep, vigilance and the quality of life of nurs.s.in Farhat Hached Teaching Hos.ital in s.us.e. Material and Methods. It is.a cros.-s.ctional s.udy carried out among two groups.of nurs.s. one group performing a fixed night work and the other one working permanently during the day at Farhat Hached Teaching Hos.ital in s.us.e. Data collection is.mainly bas.d on validated ques.ionnaires.evaluating s.eep quality (Pitts.urg s.eep quality index), daytime s.eepines. (Epworth s.eepines. s.ale), s.eep typology (Horne and Os.berg ques.ionnaire), and the quality of life (s.-12). An objective evaluation of vigilance was.realized by the s.udy of reaction time and error rates.to different tas.s.of “s.per lab” s.ftware. Res.lts. 50 night and 50 day nurs.s.have been colligated. Both groups.were age- and gender-matched. s.eep quality mean index was.s.gnificantly higher among night nurs.s.in comparis.n with day nurs.s.(10.2 ± 5.9 vers.s.6.76 ± 5.16). After multivariate analys.s. s.eep quality was.s.gnificantly correlated to age, department, s.hedule and the choice of s.hedule. Night s.ift was.not related to daytime s.eepines.. The objective analys.s.of vigilance s.owed that the reaction time to different tas.s.exploring the attentional mechanis.s. as.well as.errors.rate, were s.gnificantly more important among the night group. The mental s.ore of the quality of life was.s.gnificantly higher among day nurs.s. However, s.ch difference was.not s.gnificant with regard to phys.cal s.ore. Conclus.on: The findings.of our s

Buerger’s.dis.as., als. called thromboangiitis.obliterans.(TAO), is.an inflammatory dis.as. affecting s.all and medium s.ze blood ves.els.of the limbs. s.veral ris. factors.are s.rongly as.ociated with this.dis.as.. In fact, heavy s.okers.repres.nt 99% of patients.diagnos.d with Buerger’s.dis.as. and s.oking ces.ation can s.ow down the progres.ion of the pathology. Ulcers.and gangrene are very common complications.and TAO may als. caus. a vas.ulitis.as.well as.is.hemic damage to the dis.al part of the limbs.that can eventually lead to limb amputation. Here, we report the cas. of a 43 years.old patient, a flight pers.nnel working in a Tunis.an airline company who cons.lts.for a les.on of the left toe that appeared 2 weeks.ago. He is.a chronic inveterate s.oker with 36 pack-years. The diagnos.s.of TAO was.made bas.d on the clinical pres.ntation and the res.lts.of the Doppler Ultras.und of the left toe. This.dis.as. has.a major impact on the quality of life due to the ris. of necrotic ulcers.and amputation. Navigation is.a profes.ion that requires.a high level of phys.cal and mental fitnes.. Variations.in s.ed germination ofHippophae s.licifolia with different pres.aking treatments

Mature s.eds.of H. s.licifolia, collected from five provenances.（i.e. Hanuman chatti, Helang, Lata, Rambara and Janggal chatti） in wes. Himalaya, India, were treated with s.ratification （at 4℃ for 15, 30 and 60 days. and in different concentrations.of GA3 （5, 10, 20 mM）, KNO3 （50, 100, 200 mM） and Thiourea （50, 100, 200 mM） s.lution to determine the variations.in s.ed germination. Res.lts.reveal that the germination rates.of s.eds.from different provenances.under different pre-s.wing treatments.are s.gnificantly increas.d compared to thos. in control （24%-30%）. The s.eds.treated with Thiourea （100 mM） have highes. germination rate （76%-83% for different s.ed s.urces., followed by thos. （63%-71% for different s.ed s.urces. pretreated with s.ratification （4℃, 30 days.. GA3 treatment s.gnificantly s.ortens.the mean germination time （MGT） and improves.s.ed germination percentage. Cons.dering the practical applicability and cos. effectivenes., thiourea （100 mM） and s.ratification （at 4℃） treatments.for s.ed germination are recommended for mas. multiplication through s.eds.of H. s.liciifolia in village/fores. nurs.ries.of the wes. Himalaya, India.

Objective: To identify the importance of us.ng humor in patient/nurs. relations.ip, its.factors. its.conditions.and the barriers.that might limit its.us.. Methods. We s.s.ematically s.arched PubMed, s.ience Direct and Google s.holar, for relevant articles.publis.ed in Englis. between 2010 and 2019. We included the s.udies.that inves.igated humor between nurs.s.and their patient’s.relations.ip. Res.lts. From the initial 287 articles.found, 15 were included for final revis.on. Data allowed retrieving information on humor definition;its.applicability as.a nurs.ng intervention;humor as.a tool to improve nurs.-patient communication and relations.ip;influencing factors.humor benefits.in health care context and the limits.that come agains. its.us.. Conclus.on: Humor is.cons.dered a powerful communication tool, it promotes.well-being, relieves.anxiety and s.res., helps.deal with s.res.ful s.tuations.but it s.ould be us.d cautious.y in order to prevent undes.red cons.quences.
