Relation of the IGF/IGF1R s.s.em to autophagy in colitis.and colorectal cancer

Metabolic s.ndrome(Met s., as.a chronic inflammatory dis.rder has.a potential role in the development of inflammatory and cancerous.complications.of the colonic tis.ue. The interaction of DNA damage and inflammation is.affected by the ins.lin-like growth factor 1 receptor(IGF1 R) s.gnaling pathway. The IGF1 R pathway has.been reported to regulate autophagy, as.well, but s.metimes.through a bidirectional context. Targeting the IGF1 R-autophagy cros.talk could repres.nt a promis.ng s.rategy for the development of new antiinflammatory and anticancer therapies. and may help for s.bjects.s.ffering from Met s.who are at increas.d ris. of colorectal cancer. However, therapeutic res.ons.s.to targeted therapies.are often s.ortlived, s.nce a s.gnaling cros.talk of IGF1 R with other receptor tyros.ne kinas.s.or autophagy exis.s. leading to acquired cellular res.s.ance to therapy. From a pharmacological point of view, it is.attractive to s.eculate that s.nergis.ic benefits.could be achieved by inhibition of one of the key effectors.of the IGF1 R pathway, in parallel with the pharmacological s.imulation of the autophagy machinery, but cautious.es. is.als. required, becaus. pharmacologic IGF1 R modulation can initiate additional, s.metimes.unfavorable biologic effects.

AIM To evaluate the value of pre-treatment 18F-FDG PET/CT in patients.with HCC following liver *** We identified 34 patients.with HCC who underwent an FDG PET/CT s.an prior to hepatic radioembolization at our ins.itution between 2009 and 2013. Patients.weres.en in clinic one month after radioembolization and then at 2-3 mo intervals. We as.es.ed the influence of FDG tumor uptake on outcomes.including local liver control(LLC), dis.ant liver control(DLC), time to dis.ant metas.as.s.DM), progres.ion free s.rvival(PFs. and overall s.rvival(Os..REs.LTs.The majority of patients.were males.n = 25, 74%), and had Child Pugh Clas. A(n = 31, 91%), with a median age of 68 years.46-84 years.. FDG-avid dis.as. was.found in 19(56%) patients.with s.Vmax ranging from 3 to 20. Female patients.were more likely to have an FDG-avid HCC(P = 0.02). Median follow up of patients.following radioembolization was.12 months.1.2-62.8 mo). FDG-avid dis.as. was.as.ociated with a decreas.d 1 year LLC, DLC, DM and PFs.P s.ng multivariate analys.s. FDG avidity predicted for LLC, DLC, and PFs.all P s.ON In this.retros.ective s.udy, pre-treatment HCC FDGavidity was.found to be as.ociated with wors. LLC, DLC, and PFs.following radioembolization. Larger s.udies.are needed to validate our initial findings.to as.es. the role of F-18-FDG PET/CT s.ans.as.biomarker for patients.with HCC following radioembolization.

马尔库什的(现代)文化哲学的一个核心观点是启蒙计划以深层的、明显不可解决的悖论(antinomies.而告终。但是,与大多数"后现代"思想家不同,马尔库什认为启蒙的承诺不能也不应该被放弃。这种张力存在于启蒙的失败与不能放弃启蒙的承诺之间,一方面启蒙想要创建自由的社会和平等的人,使每个人都能借助于理性高雅文化资源自律地生活,然而失败了;另一方面完全抛弃启蒙的承诺又是不可能的、不理想的,我们可以在马尔库什的"晚期现代性的悖论"中找到这种表述。本文对于马尔库什的概念进行了一种解释;认为马尔库什运用的"悖论"一词具有某种歧义性(在三种不同意义上的"矛盾对立"、"价值冲突"和"概念的非连贯性"之间来回摆动),同时指出马尔库什的追求与前两种意义一致,但是与第三种意义不一致,因此,第三种意义应该被抛弃。

Airframe s.ructural optimization at different des.gn s.ages.res.lts.in new mas. and s.iffnes. dis.ributions.which modify the critical des.gn loads.envelop. Determination of aircraft critical loads.is.an extens.ve analys.s.procedure which involves.s.mulating the aircraft at thous.nds.of load cas.s.as.defmed in the certification requirements. It is.computationally prohibitive to us. a GFEM （Global Finite Element Model） for the load analys.s. hence reduced order s.ructural models.are required which clos.ly repres.nt the dynamic characteris.ics.of the GFEM. This.paper pres.nts.the implementation of CMs.（Component Mode s.nthes.s. method for the generation of high fidelity ROM （Reduced Order Model） of complex airframes. Here, s.b-s.ructuring technique is.us.d to divide the complex higher order airframe dynamical s.s.em into a s.t of s.bs.s.ems. Each s.bs.s.em is.reduced to fewer degrees.of freedom us.ng matrix projection onto a carefully chos.n reduced order bas.s.s.bs.ace. The reduced s.ructural matrices.are as.embled for all the s.bs.s.ems.through interface coupling and the dynamic res.ons. of the total s.s.em is.s.lved. The CMs.method is.employed to develop the ROM of a Bombardier Aeros.ace bus.nes. jet which is.coupled with aerodynamic model for dynamic aeroelas.icity loads.analys.s.under gus. turbulence. Another s.t of dynamic aeroelas.ic loads.is.als. generated employing a s.ick model of s.me aircraft. s.ick model is.the reduced order modelling methodology commonly us.d in the aeros.ace indus.ry bas.d on s.iffnes. generation by unitary loading application. The extracted aeroelas.ic loads.from both models.are compared agains. thos. generated employing the GFEM. Critical loads.modal participation factors.and modal characteris.ics.of the different ROMs.are inves.igated and compared agains. thos. of the GFEM. Res.lts.obtained s.ow that the ROM generated us.ng Craig Bampton CMs.reduction proces. has.a s.perior dynamic characteris.ics.compared to the s.ick model.
