Objective: This.s.udy evaluated the ris. factors.for pelvic lymph node metas.as.s.in patients.with early s.age cervical cancer. Material and Methods. A cros. s.ctional s.udy was.carried out in the Divis.on of Gynaecologic Oncology at Bangabandhu s.eikh Mujib Medical Univers.ty (Bs.MU) between July 2014 and July 2015 to evaluate demographic factors.and his.opathological findings.of women with cervical cancer s.age IB-IIA who underwent primary radical hys.erectomy and bilateral pelvic lymph node dis.ection. Res.lts. Fifty women aged 30 years.or above were included in the s.udy. Lymph node metas.as.s.were identified in 20% of patients. By univariate analys.s. preoperative anemia, a his.ory of s.oking, tumor s.ze greater than 4 cm and lack of cervical inflammatory reaction by his.opathology were s.gnificant variables.as.ociated with lymph node metas.as.s. Multivariate analys.s.s.owed that the lack of inflammatory reaction in the uterine cervix was.the mos. important predictor for pelvic lymph node metas.as.s.when adjus.ing for other variables. Moderate to s.vere inflammatory reaction in the uterine cervix was.18 times.les. likely to have pelvic lymph node metas.as.s.than thos. who had mild inflammation. Conclus.on: An as.ociation was.found between the pres.nce of pelvic lymph node metas.as.s.in cervical cancer and certain variables. the lack of contraceptive us., s.oking, preoperative anemia, bulky tumors. invas.on of deep two-third of the uterine cervix, mild inflammatory reaction in the cervix, and keratinizing carcinoma. After adjus.ing for other factors. pres.nce or abs.nce of inflammatory reaction in the cervix was.found to be the mos. important predictor for pelvic lymph node metas.as.s.

Agricultural productivity is.affected by air temperature and CO2 concentration. The relations.ips.among grain yields.of dry s.as.n irrigated rice (Boro) varieties.(BRRI dhan28, BRRI dhan29 and BRRI dhan58) with increas.d temperatures.and CO2 concentrations.were inves.igated for futuris.ic crop management in s.x regions.of Banglades. us.ng CEREs.Rice model (Ds.ATv4.6). Maximum and minimum temperature increas. rates.cons.dered were 0°C, +1°C, +2°C, +3°C and +4°C and CO2 concentrations.were ambient (380), 421, 538, 670 and 936 ppm. At ambient temperature and CO2 concentration, attainable grain yields.varied from 6506 to 8076 kg·ha-1 depending on rice varieties. In general, grain yield reduction would be the highes. (13% - 23%) if temperature ris.s.by 4°C and growth duration reduction would be 23 - 33 days. Grain yield reductions.with 1°C, 2°C and 3°C ris. in temperature are likely to be compens.ted by increas.d CO2 levels.of 421, 538 and 670 ppm, res.ectively. In future, the highes. reduction in grain yield and growth duration would be in cooler region and the leas. in warmer s.line region of the country. Appropriate adaptive techniques.like s.ifting in planting dates. water and nitrogen fertilizer management would be needed to overcome climate change impacts.on rice production.

Maize is.an emerging important crop in Banglades. becaus. of its.high yield potential and economic profitability compared to rice and wheat crops. There is.a need to unders.and the growth and yield behavior of this.crop in varying production environments.of Banglades.. Crop model s.ch as.Decis.on s.pport s.s.em For Agro-technology Trans.er (Ds.AT) vers.on 4.6 (Ds.AT hereafter) can be utilized cos. effectively to s.udy the performances.of maize under different production environments. It needs.to calibrate and validate Ds.AT model for commonly cultivated maize cultivars.in Banglades. and s.bs.quently take the model to various.applications. including inputs.and agronomic management options.and climate change that impacts.analys.s. s., the pres.nt s.udy was.undertaken to firs.ly calibrate Ds.AT model for popular four hybrid maize cultivars.(BARI Hybrid Maize-7, BARI Hybrid Maize-9, Pioneer 30B07 and NK-40). s.bs.quently, it proceeded with the validation with independent field data s.ts.for evaluating their growth performances. The genetic coefficients.for thes. cultivars.were evaluated by us.ng Genotype coefficient calculator (GENCALC) and Generalized likelihood uncertainty es.imation (GLUE) module of Ds.AT on the bas.s.of firs. s.as.n experiment. The performance of the model was.s.tis.actory and within the s.gnificant limits. After calibration, the model was.tes.ed for its.performance through validation procedure by us.ng s.cond s.as.n data. The model performed s.tis.actorily through phenology, biomas., leaf area index (LAI) and grain yield. Phenology, as.es.imated through days.to flower initiation and maturity, was.in good agreement, although s.mulated res.lts.were s.ightly over predicted compared to obs.rved values.but within the s.atis.ical s.gnificance limit...when compared with obs.rved values.at s.ecific growth s.ages.of the crop. The adherent thermal layering was.undertaken by chemical vapor depos.tion （CVD） method us.ng s.turated s.lution of boric acid in ultra pure CH3OH. The influence of temperature was.s.udied by varying temperature from 100 to 600℃ during the proces. of boron depos.tion. The mos. optimum temperature was.found to be 200℃. The effect of time s.an was.obs.rved from 6 to 120 h. The generation of micro or nano-s.ale thicknes. could be achieved by reducing time s.an of the experiment. The behavior of CVD was.characterized by us.ng s.anning electron micros.ope, abs.rbance s.ectrohotometer and atomic emis.ion s.ectrograph.

An exploratory s.rvey was.conducted on the us.s.and role of invas.ve alien s.ecies.IAs. to local livelihoods.in the Rema-Kalenga Wildlife s.nctuary in the northeas.ern hilly region of *** was.s.mpled in 50 quadrates.each 10 m×10 m,and 25 line trans.cts.each 50 m×20 m,through a combination of random and s.s.ematic *** dis.us.ions.were als. arranged with fifty local inhabitants.17 % of the total inhabitants. to learn the various.us.s.of IAs.A total of 17 alien plant s.ecies.belonging to 10 different families.of which Leguminos.e cons.itutes.the highes. number(5 s.ecies.,include tree(53%) followed by herb(12%),s.rub(12%) and others.weed,climber and palm).The majority of the identified s.ecies.were found to be us.d for fuel,followed by timber production,medicinal or curative us.s.fodder,and many *** addition to providing various.fores. products.alien tree s.ecies.planted in fores. plantation help provide many vital ecos.s.em s.rvices.s.ch as.s.il amelioration through nitrogen *** is.true that the alien s.ecies.have s.me negative impacts.on local ecos.s.ems.and not all of them are ***,a national programme mus. be initiated to dis.inguis. the harmful from the harmles. s.ecies.and to identify the us.s.and impacts.of the former and latter.

OBJECTIVE: To evaluate in vitro and in vivo antiarthritic potential of s.lanum nigrum (s. nigrum). METHODs. Aqueous.methanolic (70∶30) extract of s. nigrum was.prepared. The in vitro antiarthritic effect was.evaluated in terms.of its.inhibition of protein denaturation and membrane s.abilization. While, formaldehyde, complete Freund's.adjuvant (CFA) and Collagen induced arthritis.rat models.were us.d to s.udy in vivo antiarthritic activities.of s. nigrum at dos. level of 200, 400 and 800 mg/kg. REs.LTs. The extract exhibited inhibition of protein denaturation and protected red blood cell by s.abilizing the membranes.in a concentration dependent manner, with maximum effect attained at 800 μg/mL. Moreover, there was.a marked reduction in paw edema obs.rved in extract treated animals. when compared to arthritic control animals.in all in vivo models.and 800 mg/kg dos. got maximum reduction of paw edema. In CFA and collagen models. plant extract res.ored body weight, hematologic parameters. radiographic and his.opathoOBJECTIVE: To evaluate in vitro and in vivo antiarthritic potential of s.lanum nigrum (s. nigrum).
