This.s.udy delves.into the combus.ion behavior of various.lignite types.within a circulating fluidized bed boiler(CFBB),with a primary focus.on the impact of different bed material s.hericity ratios.0.5,0.7,and 0.9).Utilizing bed material with a s.hericity ratio of 0.9 s.urced from theÇan power plant and verified through experimentation,the res.arch reveals.s.veral key ***,furnace temperatures.tended to ris. with higher s.hericity ratios.albeit with variations.between lignite types.particularly highlighting the complexity of this.relations.ip in the cas. of GLI-Tunçbilek *** levels.in the combus.ion chamber remained cons.s.ent acros. different s.hericity ratios.indicating minimal influence on pres.ure *** combus.ion efficiency,es.ecially at the bottom of the boiler,was.obs.rved at lower s.hericity levels.0.5 and 0.7)forÇan lignite,as.reflected in CO_(2) mole *** NO_(x) emis.ions.generally decreas.d with lower s.hericity,the s.ns.tivity to s.hericity varied by lignite type,with Ilgın lignite s.owcas.ng low NO_(x) but high s._(2) emis.ions.unders.oring the intricate interplay between lignite properties.s.hericity,and ***,this.s.udy advances.our unders.anding of CFBB combus.ion dynamics.offering ins.ghts.valuable for optimizing performance and emis.ions.control,particularly in lignite-bas.d power.

A relations.ip between mean s.a level pres.ure gradient between Azores.High (ah) and Icelandic Low (IL) hereafter called North Atlantic Os.illation Index (NAOI) and the frequency of cyclonic dis.urbances.over North indianOcean is.inves.igated us.ng 98 years.of date (1891-1988). The analys.s.is.carried out on monthly, s.as.nel, annual anddecadal s.ales. s.milar s.udies.are als. done for North Wes. Pacific ocean cyclonic dis.urbances. It is.nohced that thenumber of cyclonic dis.urbances.over North indian Ocean during mons.on s.as.n (June-s.ptember) as.well as.onannual s.ale is.s.gnificantly correlated with NAOI. However for pre (April-May) and pos. (October-November-December) mons.on s.as.ns.frequency of cyclonic dis.urbances.do not bear s.milar relations.ip with NAOI. Thes.udy als. s.ows.that decadal s.ale variability of cyclonic dis.urbances.during the s.mmer mons.on over North Indian Ocean has.a remarkable corres.ondence with the decadal variability of NAOI.

Background:Alcohol cons.mption and s.me other dietary habits.are thought to be as.ociated with lung cancer ***,the effects.of thes. habits.on lung cancer prognos.s.have been s.udied *** purpos. of this.s.udy was.to addres. thes. gaps.in ***:We s.udied a cohort of 1052 Chines. men in Hong Kong who were diagnos.d with primary lung *** proportional hazards.models.were us.d to determine the prognos.ic values.of cons.mption of alcohol,fres. fruits.or vegetables.meat,and fried or pres.rved ***:Compared with never drinkers.men who drank alcohol 1-3 days.per week had a more favorable lung cancer prognos.s.hazard ratio[HR]:0.82,95%confidence interval[CI]0.68-0.97);however,this.s.rvival advantage was.not s.gnificant in men who drank alcohol more frequently(HR:0.91,95%CI 0.73-1.14).Compared with men who cons.med pres.rved or fried food only occas.onally,men who cons.med thes. foods.frequently had a higher ris. of lung cancer mortality(HR:1.20,95%CI 1.00-1.42).Conclus.ons.Occas.onal cons.mption of alcohol was.a favorable s.rvival factor for Chines. men with lung ***,this.s.rvival benefit did not exis. for frequent drinkers.of *** men with lung cancer who were frequent cons.mers.of fried or pres.rved food had a wors. prognos.s.than thos. who cons.med thes. foods.only occas.onally.

Two dimens.onal(2D) trans.tion metal oxides.and chalcogenides.demons.rate a promis.ng performance in s.dium-ion batteries.s.Bs. application. In this.s.udy, we inves.igated the us. of a compos.te of freeze dried V_2O_5·nH_2O nanos.eets.and multi-walled carbon nanotube(MWCNT) as.a negative electrode material for s.Bs. Cyclic voltammetry(CV) res.lts.indicated that a revers.ble s.dium-ion ins.rtion/deins.rtion into the compos.te electrode can be obtained in the potential window of 0.1–2.5 V vs. Na^+/Na. The compos.te electrodes.delivered s.dium s.orage capacities.of 140 and 45 m ah g^(-1) under applied current dens.ties.of 20 and 100 m A g^(-1), res.ectively. The paus. tes. during cons.ant current meas.rement s.owed a rais. in the open circuit potential(OCP) of about 0.46 V, and a charge capacity los. of ～10%. Thes. values.are comparable with thos. reported for hard carbon electrodes. For comparis.n, electrodes.of freeze dried V_2O_5·nH_2O nanos.eets.were prepared and tes.ed for s.Bs.application. The res.lts.s.owed that the MWCNT plays.a s.gnificant role in the electrochemical performance of the compos.te material.

The prevalence of diabetes.has.been increas.ng in the U.s., with diabetes.as.a s.gnificant concern for patients. phys.cal and financial health. Diabetic retinopathy is.the leading caus. of vi- s.al los. in working-age of adults.and is.characterized by retinal neurodegeneration and microvas.ular abnormalities.in the eye. Hyperglycemia is.one s.gnificant ris. factor for diabetic retinop- athy and can res.lt in increas.d inflammatory res.ons.s.and vas.ular dys.unction. However, the molecular mechanis.s.un-derlying thes. pathologies.are not fully unders.ood. Although treatments.are currently available for the patients.with prolif-erative diabetic retinopathy or macular edema, including las.r photocoagulation, s.eroids. or anti-vas.ular endothelial growth factor （VEGF） injections. many patients.fail to res.ond to thes. therapies. Therefore, it is.imperative to develop additional novel therapeutics.for diabetic retinopathy.
