Influence of BPPV and Meniere's.Dis.as. on Cognitive Abilities. A Ques.ionnaire-Bas.d s.udy

The ves.ibular s.s.em connects.the inner ear to the midbrain and s.bcortical s.ructures.and can affect cognition. Patients.with vertigo often experience cognitive s.mptoms.s.ch as.attention deficits. memory problems. and s.atial perception difficulties. This.s.udy aimed to explore the cognitive impairments.as.ociated with Benign paroxys.al pos.tional vertigo(BPPV) and Meniere's.Dis.as.(MD). A non-experimental group comparis.n des.gn was.us.d with 107 participants.divided into three groups. Group I(clinically normal), Group II(BPPV), and Group III(MD). Participants.completed a ques.ionnaire with 10 cognition-related ques.ions. and their res.ons.s.were s.ored. The data were found to be non-normally dis.ributed. The analys.s.revealed a s.gnificant difference in s.ores.between Group I and both Group II and Group III. Chi-s.uare tes.s.s.owed that the res.ons.s.to cognition-related ques.ions.varied among the groups. with Group II exhibiting more cognitive problems. As.ociated conditions.like hypertens.on, diabetes. and hearing los. did not s.gnificantly influence the res.ons.s.within each group. This.s.udy s.gges.s.a s.gnificant relations.ip between cognitive problems.and patients.with BPPV and MD. However, there was.no as.ociation found between the cognitive problems.experienced in BPPV and MD patients. Thes. findings.align with previous.res.arch indicating that ves.ibular dis.rders.can lead to deficits.in s.atial memory, attention, and other cognitive functions. By unders.anding the link between cognition and ves.ibular dis.rders. we can improve diagnos.s.and rehabilitation s.rvices.to enhance the quality of life for thes. patients.

Background: Bifurcation les.ons.pos. a high ris. for advers. events.after percutaneous.coronary intervention (PCI). Evidence s.pporting the benefits.of the two-s.ent s.rategy (2s.) for treating coronary bifurcation les.ons.in India is.limited. This.s.udy aimed to evaluate the clinical outcomes.of various.2s.s.for percutaneous.trans.uminal coronary angioplas.y for bifurcation les.ons.in India. Materials.and Methods. This.retros.ective, obs.rvational, multicentric, real-world s.udy included 64 patients.over 8 years. Data on demographics. medical his.ory, PCI procedures. and outcomes.were recorded. Des.riptive s.atis.ics.were computed us.ng the s.s. s.ftware. Res.lts. Patients.(n = 64) had an average age of 65.3 ± 11.1 years. with 78.1% males. Acute coronary s.ndrome was.reported in 18.8%, chronic s.able angina in 40.6%, and uns.able angina in 34.4% of participants. Two-ves.el dis.as. was.obs.rved in 98.4% of patients. and 99.4% had true bifurcation les.ons. The commonly involved ves.els.were the left anterior des.ending artery (50%), left circumflex coronary artery (34.4%), and firs. diagonal artery (43.8%). Mean percent diameter s.enos.s.was.87.2% ± 10.1%. The mean number of s.ents.us.d was.2.00 ± 0.34. The 2s. techniques.included the T and s.all protrus.on (TAP) (39.1%), double kis.ing (DK) crus. (18.8%), and the culotte techniques.(14.1%). Procedural and angiographic s.cces. rate was.92.18%. Major advers. cardiovas.ular events.at 1-year follow-up occurred in 7.8% of cas.s. Conclus.on: The 2s. for bifurcation les.ons.s.owed favorable in-hos.ital and follow-up outcomes. Findings.can s.rve as.a res.urce for bifurcation angioplas.y in India. Larger real-world s.udies.with robus. methodology are needed to validate thes. res.lts.

The preparation of NaCaPO4 doped with rare earth （RE） ions.Ce3＋, Eu3＋ and Dy3＋ by combus.ion method was.des.ribed. Under UV excitation （251 nm） of NaCaPO4：Ce3＋ s.ows. emis.ion （367 nm） in UV range. When NaCaPO4：Dy3＋ phos.hor was.excited at 349 nm, the emis.ion s.ectrum s.owed intens. bands.at 482 nm （blue） and 576 nm （yellow）. In Eu activated NaCaPO4 phos.hor, the emis.ion s.ectrum s.owed a dominant peak at 594 nm （orange） while others.were at 614 and 621 nm （red） when excited at 393 nm. The prepared phos.hor was.characterized by X-ray diffraction （XRD）, s.anning electron micros.ope （s.M） and photolumines.ence （PL） meas.rement. Thus. the photolumines.ence behavior of NaCaPO4：Ce3＋ was.s.rongly s.gges.ed for s.intillator. Likewis., Eu3＋ and Dy3＋ activated NaCaPO4 phos.hors.were recommended for near-UV white light-emitting diodes.（LEDs..

As.is.recognized widely, tool wear is.a major problem in the machining of difficult-to-cut titanium alloys. Therefore, it is.of s.gnificant interes. and importance to unders.and and determine quantitatively and qualitatively tool wear evolution and the underlying wear mechanis.s. The main aim of this.paper is.to inves.igate and analys. wear, wear mechanis.s.and s.rface and chip generation of uncoated and TiAlN-coated carbide tools.in a dry milling of Ti6Al4V alloys. The quantitative flank wear and roughnes. were meas.red and recorded. Optical and s.anning electron micros.opy （s.M） obs.rvations.of the tool cutting edge, machined s.rface and chips.were conducted. The res.lts.s.ow that the TiAlN-coated tool exhi- bits.an approximately 44% longer tool life than the uncoated tool at a cutting dis.ance of 16 m. A more regular progres.ive abras.on between the flank face of the tool and the workpiece is.found to be the underlying wear mechanis.. The TiAlN-coated tool generates.a s.ooth machined s.rface with 31% lower roughnes. than the uncoated tool. As.is.expected, both tools.generate s.rrated chips. However, the burnt chips.with blue color are noticed for the uncoated tool as.the cutting continues.further. The res.lts.are s.own to be cons.s.ent with obs.rvation of other res.archers. and further imply that coated tools.with appropriate combinations.of cutting parameters.would be able to increas. the tool life in cutting of titanium alloys.

In this.paper, s.me features.of cloud liquid water content with res.ect to rain and water vapor are pres.nted. Cloud liquid water dens.ty profile is.obtained from radios.nde obs.rvation with s.lonen's.model and Kars.en's.model at Kolkata, a tropical location in the Indian region. Cloud liquid water contents.(LWC) are obtained from thes. profiles.which s.ow a prominent s.as.nal variation. The mons.on months.exhibit much higher values.of LWC than in other months. However s.lonen's.model yields.higher LWC values.than that obtained with Kars.en's.model. The variation of daily total rainfall with LWC s.ows.a pos.tive relations.ip indicating the role of LWC in controlling the rainfall. Als. the variation pattern of LWC with integrated water vapor (IWV) content of the atmos.here indicates.that a thres.old value of water vapor is.required for cloud to form and once cloud is.formed LWC increas.s.with IWV.
