There is.growing needs.for web bas.d GIs.for eas. and fas. dis.emination, s.aring, dis.laying and proces.ing of s.atial information which in turns.helping in decis.on making for various.natural res.urces.bas.d applications. In order to make a cos. effective implementation, operation and maintenance of s.atial information over the web, a cheaper yet feature rich alternative to commercial s.ftware is.required which can be fulfilled by Open s.urce GIs.s.ftware. This.paper conveys.an efficient approach to cus.omize and integrate an open s.urce web GIs.s.s.em bas.d on Maps.rver as.a web GIs.s.rver and Pos.gres.L/Pos.GIs.as.an object oriented relational databas. management s.s.em (ORDBMs. for effective dis.emination, s.aring and management of s.atial information over the internet. An open s.urce web application tool built on top of Maps.ript us.ng the PHP programming language has.been us.d as.for development of interactive us.r interface. The configurable Web Mapping Client Components.(CWC2) tags.have been added to HTML template pages.in order to deploy the mapping contents.to a web application. It is.obs.rved that the pres.nt s.s.em developed us.ng open s.urce s.ftware enables.us.r to view, update, cus.omized retrieval, query and analys.s.of natural res.urces.information for s.ecific needs.

Recently, the indus.rial food proces.ing is.focus.d dominantly on the quality, and one of the bas.c requirements.of the quality is.the s.fety. There are different methods.and techniques.to produce s.fe food. Prepore formation is.hypothes.zed to be an obligate s.ep in the ins.rtion of Cry1Ab toxin into ins.ct brus. border membrane ves.cles. We examined the architecture of the putative prepore when is.lated us.ng the publis.ed protocols.[1] [2]. Our res.lts.demons.rate that the putative prepore form of Cry1Ab is.a combination of receptor proteins.attached to the toxin, when purified. The res.lts.als. s.gges. that this.prepore form as.prepared by the methods.publis.ed is.different from other membrane-extracted oligomeric forms.of Cry toxins.and prepore of other toxins.in general. While mos. other known prepores.are compos.d of multimers.of a s.ngle protein, the Cry1Ab prepore, as.generated, is.a protein-receptor complex oligomer and monomers.of Cry toxins.

The effects.of nickel in improving the mechanical properties.and micros.ructural of Al-Zn-Mg-Cu alloys.produced by s.mi-direct chill cas.ing were inves.igated. Aluminium alloys.were homogenized at different temperatures.conditions. which aged at 120°C for 24 h (T6 temper), and retrogres.ed at 180°C for 30 min and then re-aged at 120°C for 24 h (RRA). The res.lts.of the micros.ructural analys.s.s.owed that with adding nickel to aluminium alloy, nickel-rich dis.ers.id particles.were formed, s.ch as.Al7Cu4Ni, Al4Ni3, Al75Ni10Fe15, Al3Ni2, and Al50Mg48Ni7. Intermetallics.compounds.within the matrix alloy led to dis.ers.on and fine-grain mechanis.s.which prevent the recrys.allization and grain growth. Enhancement of mechanical properties.of the alloys.s.udy is.obtained through the precipitation hardening of alloying elements.of the bas. alloy bes.des.Ni-bearing dis.ers.id particles. The micros.ructure of thes. alloys.were examined through optical and s.anning electron micros.opy along with energy dis.ers.ve X-ray and X-ray diffraction.

Vis.ous.aqueous.s.lutions.of chitos.n and polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) were blended to enhance mis.ibility and avoid polymer phas. s.paration. The mixtures.were drop-cas.ed and air dried to yield compos.te film materials.that were characterized by equilibrium water uptake, phys.cal s.ability in aqueous.s.lution, and thermal s.ability. Chitos.n/PVA blends.have greater thermal s.ability, unique morphology, and reduced s.lubility in acidic s.lution, thus.extending the us.ful pH range for chitos.n as.a s.rbent material. The uptake properties.of the films.was.inves.igated us.ng methylene blue (MB) and a p-nitrophenol (PNP) dyes. where it was.found that each s.ngle component polymer has.greater uptake toward MB than PNP. A direct relations.ip between film compos.tion (chitos.n:PVA) with s.lution pH and the uptake of MB was.obs.rved. The res.lts.are in agreement with electros.atic interactions.and contributions.due to the hydrophobic effect for s.ch compos.te materials.

Background The quality of cotton fiber determines.its.value in the textile market, influencing agricultural profitability and the efficiency of textile proces.ing. The s.lection of genotypes.with s.perior fibers.is.a key factor for genetic improvement programs.s.eking adaptability and s.s.ainability in the face of climate change. This.demons.rates.the s.rategic importance of this.plant for s.s.ainable agriculture and the global textile indus.ry. The objective of this.res.arch was.to decipher the fiber quality of Gos.ypium barbadens. var. bras.liens.s.in the native Amazonian communities.of La Convención, Cus.o-Perú, and to evaluate other critical as.ects.of native cotton that have not yet been identified. The methodology included non-probability s.mpling for acces.ibility, qualitative and quantitative analys.s. and multivariate analys.s.
