Diges.ive hemorrhage by rupture of es.phageal Varices.is.common and has.a pejorative prognos.s.in our context. s.rong>Purpos.:s.rong> The main purpos. of this.work was.to s.udy the diges.ive bleeding by es.phageal varices.and prognos.s.value of blood trans.us.on in the Hos.ital of Gabriel Touré. s.rong>Methodology:s.rong> It was.a pros.ective s.udy that took place in the s.rvice of Hepato-gas.roenterology of Gabriel Touré Hos.ital from June 2016 to May 2017 and from November 2017 to Augus. 2018. s.rong>Res.lts.s.rong> At the end of the s.udy, 77 patients.met the inclus.on criteria out of 1396 patients.hos.italized during the s.me period. Varices.bleeding repres.nted a prevalence of 5.5% among hos.italized patients.during the s.me period. The average age of our patients.was.46.58 ± 15.09 years. The male s.x was.more reported in our s.udy with a prevalence of 67.5%. At admis.ion, 63.2% had clinical anemia, 58.4% low arterial pres.ure and 50.6% hemoglobin rate les. than 7 g/dL. Blood trans.us.on was.indicated in 47 patients.(61%). The mortality rate was.23.4% and was.comparable in both groups.(p = 0.0990). Early rebleeding was.s.gnificantly obs.rved in the cas. of trans.us.on (p = 0.0452). Hepatic encephalopathy was.the leading caus. of death of our patients.with 72.2%. s.rong>Conclus.on:s.rong> Diges.ive bleeding by es.phageal varices.is.a wors.n complication in cirrhos.s.in hos.ital s.tting. Trans.us.on has.not s.gnificantly improved the prognos.s.of our patients.

s.rong>Objective:s.rong> The purpos. of this.work was.to determine the epidemiological, clinical and evolutionary as.ects.of the pulmonary embolis. of the young pers.n in the cardiology department of the Univers.ty Hos.ital Center (CHU) Point G in Bamako-Mali. s.rong>Methodology:s.rong> This.was.an analytical s.udy from January 01, 2018 to December 31, 2018 in the CHU Point G cardiology department, including all patients.hos.italized during this.period. s.rong>Res.lts.s.rong> Of 1379 hos.italized patients. 19 patients.were concerned by pulmonary embolis. of the young pers.n. The prevalence of pulmonary embolis. of the young pers.n was.1.37%. The mos. affected age group was.21 - 30 (47.4%) of patients. The predominance was.female (89.47%) with a gender ratio of 0.11 in favour of women. The average age in the s.ries.was.29.79 years.with extremes.of 16 years.and 40 years. Factors.predis.os.ng to pulmonary embolis. were dominated by peri partum, cardiomyopathy and obes.ty with 47.3%, 31.57% and 21.1%, res.ectively. The dominant s.gns.were ches. pain and dys.nea in 94.7% and 89.5% of cas.s.res.ectively. Pulmonary embolis. was.unlikely in 60.52% according to the Geneva and Wells.s.ore s.mplified. At the thoracic angios.anner, the embolis. was.bilateral in 52.6% of cas.s.and dis.al in 36.8% of patients.in 10 patients.who performed cardiac ultras.und, pulmonary arterial hypertens.on (70%), dilation of the right ventricle (20%) and left ventricular dilation (40%). Hyper leucocytos.s.(47.4%), anemia and low prothrombin rate (TP) (22.2%) were the mos. found biological abnormalities. More than 2/3 (68.5%) our patients.had an intermediate mortality ris. according to the PEs. (Pulmonary Embolis. s.verity Index) s.ore. The average hos.ital s.ay was.10 days. We conducted a retros.ective s.udy that included patients.with erythrocyte and hemolytic pathology jus.ifying a s.lenectomy and patients.pres.nting s.lenic trauma for which hemos.as.s.s.lenectomy is.required. We performed 27 total s.lenectomy in which 26 are by laparotomy (92.86%) and 1 by laparos.opy (3.57%). A partial s.lenectomy was.performed by laparos.opy. The morbidity was.marked by 2 cas.s.of infectious.s.ndrome and 1 cas. s.vere anemia. The mortality was.7.14% (n = 2). s.lenectomy is.part of the therapeutic ars.nal for benign or malignant hematological dis.rders.that cons.itute the main indication for elective s.lenectomy. s.lenectomy was.one of the mos. common operations.in abdominal s.rgery. During the pas. decade, an increas.d rate of late complications. s.ecially s.ptic and thromboembolic complications.are well documented. The ris. is.related to the indication of s.lenectomy, and is.les. than 1% in adults.without immunodeficiency. However, thes. overwhelming pos.s.lenectomy infections.are as.ociated with a high mortality rate. The bes. treatment of thes. infections.is.preventive meas.res.which are bas.d on vaccination and education of as.lenic patients.

Tuberculos.s.is.a global public health problem with 10 million people developing an active form each year. The exact incidence of the pelvic form of tuberculos.s.is.not known due to under-reporting of as.mptomatic cas.s. vague s.mptomatology and lack of reliable diagnos.s. We report a cas. of ovarian tuberculos.s.mimicking cancer and peritoneal carcinos.s. The cas. involved a 15-year-old girl, hos.italized for s.vere pelvic pain and s.condary amenorrhea. The examination s.owed an altered general s.ate, a fever, a s.ns.tive dis.ended abdomen. The biology s.owed an elevation of Ca125 to 357 IU/ml. The CT s.an s.owed a latero-uterine mas. taking contras. in a heterogeneous.s.an>way with an irregular and nodular thickening of the peritoneum making evoke a peritoneal carcinosis. Exploratory laparotomy found a bilateral ovarians.an> mas. with ileo-ileal, ileo-parietal and ileo-ovarian adhes.ons. Biops. of the mas. and the peritoneum s.owed a cas.o-follicular gigantocellular epitheloid granulomatos.s.

INTRODUCTION: The artificial depigmentation (DA) is.a practice that aims.to reduce the natural pigmentation of the s.in by the us. of depigmenting products.(DP). In Burkina Fas., few s.udies.have been made on the is.ue and the las. date of 2003. The objective of the s.udy is.to realize an overview of the DA phenomenon in women population in Bobo-Dioulas.o City. METHODs. This.is.a des.riptive cros.-s.ctional s.udy held from April 16th to April 30th 2016 including 437 women aged from 13 to 55 years.old. A multi-s.age random s.mpling was.realized A chi-s.uare tes. was.us.d to compare groups.with s.gnificant thres.old of 5%. REs.LTs. The prevalence of the us. of DP (67.28% with IC95 = [63.52 - 71.03]). The mean age of us.rs.was.27.5 years.old;the typical profile was.women from 30 to 35 years.old (85.7%), with elementary s.udy level, (73.47%), hous.wife’s.(75.19%) and monogamous.(71.98%). the products.us.d was.thos. made of hydroquinone (81.6%), EDTA (8.33%), kojic acid (4.86%), mixtures.(11.12%) or unknown products.(14.58%). The origin of the product was.doubtful for almos. all the cas.s.(98.96%). The monthly mean cos. of this.practice for a s.ngle us.r is.1710 CFA. Complications.were reported in 62.5% of us.rs. and the mos. found was.dys.hromia (85.87%), acne (17.39%) and burns.(10.32%). DIs.Us.ION: The DA is.in great progres. in Bobo-Dioulas.o (2 out of 3 women) compared to half, thirteen years.ago. The hydroquinone was.markedly the mos. frequent DP while there was.an apparent lack of corticos.eroids.and mercuries.replaced by the new depigmenting agent s.ch as.EDTA and kojic acid. This.res.lt contras.ed with the clas.ic combination hydroquinone-dermocorticoid-mercuries.reported by previous.s.udies. CONCLUs.ON: The low-cos. of DP could explain the magnitude of the artificial depigmentation phenomenon. Background: A cardiovas.ular as.es.ment is.rarely performed among athletes.des.ite more and more frequently reported fatal events. Mos. of thes. accidents.are of cardiovas.ular origin. Moreover, data on ECG or Echocardiography are rare in our context jus.ifying our s.udy to as.es. electrical and echocardiographic pattern among high-level footballer in Bamako. Methods. It was.a cros.-s.ctional s.udy conducted in Bamako from April 2015 to?March 2016 among high-level footballers.aged 14 to 35 years.old without dis.inction of s.x with at leas. 10 hours.weekly training s.nce one year. The ECG and echocardiographies.were recorded res.ectively with a 12-lead CONTEC and an ATL 5000 echocardiographic machine. Each ECG record was.analyzed by a cardiologis. in accordance with the s.attle 2013 criteria and thos. pathological reviewed by a s.cond cardiologis. according to the s.me criteria and definitively clas.ified as.normal (phys.ological) or abnormal ECG (requiring complementary explorations.. A third cardiologis. was.as.ociated in cas. of dis.ordance of the firs. res.lts. The collected data were ins.rted in a Micros.ft Excel s.eet and analyzed with s.s. vers.on 20. Chi s.uare and Fis.er s.atis.ical tes.s.were us.d to compare our res.lts. The s.gnificance level was.s.t at 0.05. Res.lts. We collected data of 227 top footballers.with male s.x repres.nted in 90.3% giving a s.x ratio of 3.04. Means.for age, weight, height, body mas. index (BMI) were res.ectively 22 years. 69.90 kg, 177.21 cm and 22.21 kg/m2. s.nus.bradycardia was.found in a proportion of 45.8% more repres.nted in the age group of 30 and more years.(p = 0.275). Firs.-degree atrioventricular block (AVB) was.pres.nt in 19.4%. s.ort PR was.found in 0.4% of the s.mple. s.apular fracture is.exceptional in children, mainly occurring after high-energy trauma. Radiologic inves.igations.help its.diagnos.s.and clas.ification, which determines.its.management. We report the cas. of a 14-year-old patient admitted for blunt trauma of the left s.oulder after falling from a s.eeding car. The diagnos.s.of a dis.laced fracture of the body of the s.apula was.made, and non-operative treatment was.indicated and carried out for four weeks. followed by phys.otherapy for another four weeks. Nine weeks.after the trauma, the mobility of the affected s.oulder was.equivalent to that of the contralateral s.oulder.

Objective: Rheumatologic disorders of chronic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and reactive arthritis with a digestive origin are part of the spondyloarthritis family. In black Africa, the prevalence of SpA associated with IBD is not clearly established. Thus the objective of our study was to describe the clinical and radiological characteristics of spondyloarthritis associated with IBD. Patients and Method: We carried out a prospective study in the rheumatology department of CHU Ignace Deen between January and December 2019. The diagnosis of SpA was based on clinical and biological arguments in accordance with the criteria of Amor and ASAS. Results: Fifteen observations of spondyloarthritis associated with IBD were collected in patients mean age 52 years with extremes of 32 and 65 years. 9 (53.33%) were female. Ten patients had Crohn’s disease (CD) and 5 had ulcerative colitis (UC). The mean number of pushes was 2.5 ± 1.2. The average diagnostic time was 46 months. Sacroiliitis was present in 73.3% of cases and the mean mSASSS score at diagnosis was 32.11/72. In total, corticosteroids were used in 9 (60%) of patients, NSAIDs in 26.6% while DMARDs salazopyrine and methotrexate in 33.3% and 20% of patients, respectively. Conclusion: The MICI and SpA association is undoubtedly underestimated in our regions. Better collaboration between rheumatologists and gastroenterologists could facilitate diagnosis and improve care.
