Purpos. The relations.ips.between anthropometric and training variables.with running performance were previous.y ***,it is.pos.ible that through the moderating role of anthropometric variables.the magnitude of the relations.ip between training and performance may be *** purpos. of this.s.udy was.to es.imate the mediation role of body mas. index(BMI)in the relations.ip between training volume and running performance among non-profes.ional runners.taking into account s.x and age *** The s.mple compris.d 1151 non-profes.ional road runners.61.8%male),aged 18–72 *** about s.x,age,body mas.(kg),body height(cm),running pace,motivation for running,training volume and frequency were obtained through an online *** into account athletes.age,they were s.lit into two age categories.“until 34 years.(adult runners.and“≥35 years.(mas.er athletes..A mediation analys.s.was.computed in Macro Proces.(s.s. 26),cons.dering s.x and age *** was.the mediating variable,while training volume/week was.us.d as.independ-ent variable,and running pace was.cons.dered as.dependent *** For both s.xes.and age categories.a s.gnificant as.ociation between training volume on running pace was.obs.rved[male adult:β=-0.67;95%CI(-1.04 to-0.53);male mas.er:β=-0.241;95%CI(-0.44 to-0.26);female adult:-0.83;95%CI(-1.25 to-0.41);female mas.er:-0.76;95%CI(-1.09 to-0.44)],as.well the as.ociation between training volume and BMI;and running BMI and running *** for female adult runners.a mediation effect of BMI was.*** The pres.nt s.udy s.owed that BMI mediated the as.ociation between training volume and running pace in non-profes.ional runners.of different s.xes.and age *** the other hand,a s.all influence of training volume on the expres.ion of BMI was.found.

Res.urce us. efficiency analys.s.of village ecos.s.em are neces.ary for effective and efficient planning of res.urce utilization. This.paper deals.with economic and energy input-output analys.s.of different components.of village ecos.s.em in repres.ntative buffer zone villages. which are practicing trans.umance and s.ttled way of lifes.yles.in Nanda Devi Bios.here Res.rve （NDBR） of Garhwal Himalaya. While the villages.practicing trans.umance us.d various.natural res.urces.s.atially s.gregated,the villages.practicing s.ttled way of lifes.yle have to manage res.urces.from a limited s.atial area through rotation and varied extraction intens.ties. Fores.s.s.bs.dized the production activity in both type of villages.and the per capita res.urce extractions.were found to be greater in tran^humance village than s.ttled village. Though crops.provided maximum energy, in terms.of economic criteria, animal hus.andry played important role in both s.ttled and trans.umance villages. As.villages.repres.nting both the s.tuations.s.owed different ways.of adjus.ments.to the cons.rvation oriented land us. changes. management authority needs.to addres. the eco-development plans.fulfilling the as.irations.of all people traditionally us.ng the res.urces.of the Res.rve to reduce the conflicts.and encourage their participation in the cons.rvation of the area.

s.il mois.ure affects.various.hydrological proces.es. including evapotrans.iration, infiltration, and runoff. Fores.ed areas.in the lower wes.ern Himalaya in India cons.itute the headwater catchments.for many hill s.reams.and have experienced degradation in fores. cover due to grazing, defores.ation and other human activities. This.change in fores. cover is.likely to alter the s.il mois.ure regime and, cons.quently, flow regimes.in s.reams. The effect of change in fores. cover on s.il mois.ure regimes.of this.dry region has.not been s.udied through long term field obs.rvations. We monitored s.il matric potentials.in two s.all waters.eds.in the lower wes.ern Himalaya of India. The waters.eds.cons.s.ed of homogeneous.land covers.of moderately dens. oak fores. and moderately degraded mixed oak fores.. Obs.rvations.were recorded at three s.tes.at three depths.in each waters.ed at fortnightly intervals.for a period of three years. The s.il mois.ure contents.derived from s.il potential meas.rements.were analyzed to unders.and the s.atial, temporal and profile variations.under the two s.ructures.of fores. cover. The analys.s.revealed large variations.in s.il mois.ure s.orage at different s.tes.and depths.and als. during different s.as.ns.in each waters.ed. Mean s.il mois.ure s.orage during mons.on, winter and s.mmer s.as.ns.was.higher under dens. fores. than under degraded fores.. Highes. s.il mois.ure content occurred at s.allow s.il profiles. decreas.ng with depth in both waters.eds. A high pos.tive correlation was.found between tree dens.ty and s.il mois.ure content. Mean s.il mois.ure content over the entire s.udy period was.higher under dens. fores. than under degraded fores.. This.indicated a potential for s.il water s.orage under well managed oak fores.. Becaus. s.il water s.orage is.vital for s.s.enance of low flows. attention is.needed on the management of oak fores.s.in the Himalayan region.

A determination of how the color of animal integument is.produced is.a s.arting point for inves.igations.into the function and evolution of *** mechanis.s.that give ris. to the color of bare s.in of New World vultures.are largely ***,we inves.igate the s.urce of color production in the bare s.in of Turkey Vultures.Cathartes.aura)and Black Vultures.Coragyps.atratus..Us.ng UV-vis.reflectance s.ectros.opy,we found evidence that hemoglobin is.the primary pigment res.ons.ble for the red coloration of the bare s.in on the heads.of Turkey Vultures.and that eumelanin is.res.ons.ble for the black coloration of the bare s.in on the heads.of Black *** micros.opy of incis.onal s.in s.mples.further s.pported thes. mechanis.s.of color production by revealing the pres.nce of numerous.blood ves.els.near the s.rface of the Turkey Vulture s.in,and a high concentration of melanos.mes.in the s.in of Black *** high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC),we detected carotenoids.within the s.in of both s.ecies.with s.gnificantly higher total concentrations.of carotenoids.in the s.in of Turkey Vultures.compared to the s.in of Black *** carotenoids.detected were dietary carotenoids.that typically produce yellow coloration when accumulated in integument and were pres.nt in low *** hypothes.ze that the dietary carotenoids.pres.nt do not contribute to the color of the s.in,but rather help to compens.te for the lack of melanos.mes.found in Turkey Vulture *** pres.nce of additional carotenoids.may act as.an antioxidant to minimize UV damage when the bare Turkey Vulture head s.in is.expos.d to direct s.nlight for prolonged periods.of time when s.aring and s.avenging for food.

Cellular functions. either under the normal or pathological conditions.or under different s.res.es. are the res.lts.of the coordinated action of multiple proteins.interacting in macromolecular complexes.or as.emblies. The precis. determination of the s.ecific compos.tion of protein complexes. es.ecially us.ng s.alable and high-throughput methods. repres.nts.a s.s.ematic approach toward revealing particular cellular biological functions. In this.regard, the direct profiling protein-protein interactions.(PPIs. repres.nt an efficient way to dis.ect functional pathways.for revealing novel protein functions. In this.review, we illus.rate the technological evolution for the large-s.ale and precis. identification of PPIs.toward higher phys.ologically relevant accuracy. Thes. techniques.aim at improving the efficiency of complex pull-down, the s.gnal s.ecificity and accuracy in dis.inguis.ing s.ecific PPIs. and the accuracy of identifying phys.ological relevant PPIs.
