The joint European space Agency and Chinese Academy of sciences solar wind magnetosphere Ionosphere Link Explorer(smILE)mission will explore global dynamics of the magnetosphere under varying solar wind and interplanetary magnetic field conditions,and simultaneously monitor the auroral response of the Northern hemisphere *** these large-scale responses with medium and fine-scale measurements at a variety of cadences by additional ground-based and space-based instruments will enable a much greater scientific impact beyond the original goals of the smILE ***,we describe current community efforts to prepare for smILE,and the benefits and context various experiments that have explicitly expressed support for smILE can offer.A dedicated group of international scientists representing many different experiment types and geographical locations,the Ground-based and Additional science working Group,is facilitating these *** include constructing an online smILE Data Fusion Facility,the discussion of particular or special modes for experiments such as coherent and incoherent scatter radar,and the consideration of particular observing strategies and spacecraft *** anticipate growing interest and community engagement with the smILE mission,and we welcome novel ideas and insights from the solar-terrestrial community.

The full array of the Large high Altitude Air shower Observatory(LhAAsO)has been in operation since july *** its kilometer-square array(Km2A),we optimized the selection criteria for very high and ultrahigh energyγ-rays using data collected from August 2021 to August 2022,resulting in an improvement in significance of the detection in the Crab Nebula of approximately 15%,compared with that of previous *** the implementation of these new selection criteria,the angular resolution was also significantly improved by approximately 10%at tens of *** aspects of the full Km2A array performance,such as the pointing error,were also calibrated using the Crab *** resulting energy spectrum of the Crab Nebula in the energy range of 10-1000 TeV are well fitted by a log-parabola model,which is consistent with the previous results from LhAAsO and other experiments.

The triggering mechanism for radio lobes from late-type galaxies is not fully *** samples are desired for a thorough investigation and *** utilizing the optical data from the newly released Dark Energy spectroscopic Instrument imaging surveys and the radio sources from the NRAO VLA sky survey and the Faint Images of the Radio sky at Twenty-centimeter,we identify four Late-type Galaxies with double Radio Lobes(La GRLs):j0217-3645,j0947+6220,j1412+3723 and j1736+*** previously known La GRLs,we confirm the correlation between radio power P_(1.4Ghz)and stellar mass m_(*)of host ***(25/35)La GRLs belong to the blue cloud galaxies,while the newly identified cases in this work are located within the region of the red *** find a clear correlation between the differential radio power,i.e.,the offset from the P_(1.4Ghz)-m_(*)relation,and the galaxy color,indicating that bluer galaxies at a fixed m_(*)tend to host more powerful radio ***,the majority(31/36)of La GRLs are either located in a galaxy group or displaying a disturbed *** suggest that all of the galaxy mass,color and surrounding environment could play important roles in triggering radio lobes in late-type galaxies.

A composite scaffold composed of a porous scaffold and hydrogel filling can facilitate engraftment, survival, and retention in cell transplantation processes. This study presents a composite scaffold made of poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) and methacrylated hyaluronic acid (mehA) hydrogel and describes the corresponding physical properties (surface area, porosity, and mechanical strength) and host response (angiogenesis and fibrosis) after subcutaneous transplantation. specifically, we synthesise mehA with different degrees of substitution and fabricate a PCL scaffold with different porosities. subsequently, we construct a series of PCL/mehA composite scaffolds by combining these hydrogels and scaffolds. In experiments with mice, the scaffold composed of 3% PCL and 10–100 kDa, degree of substitution 70% mehA results in the least fibrosis and a higher degree of angiogenesis. This study highlights the potential of PCL/mehA composite scaffolds for subcutaneous cell transplantation, given their desirable physical properties and host response. © 2024, Chinese medical multimedia Press Co Ltd. Ballistic design and testing of a composite armour reinforced by CNTs suitable for armoured vehicles

This paper is investigating the use of composite armour reinforced by nanomaterials, for the protection of light armoured(LAV) and medium armoured military vehicles(mAV), and the interaction between the composite materials and high-performance ballistic projectiles. Four armour materials, consisted of front hybrid fibre reinforced polymer cover layer, ceramic strike-face, fibre reinforced polymer intermediate layer and the metal matrix composite reinforced backplate, were manufactured and assembled by adhesive technology. The proposed laminated protection system is suitable for armoured ground vehicles;however, it could be used as armour on ground, air and naval platforms. The design of the protection system, including material selection and thickness, was elaborated depending on the performance requirements of Level 4 + sTANAG 4569 military standard(projectile 14.5 mm × 114 mm API B32) and especially on a design philosophy which is analysed with the specifications. The backplate of this new composite is a hybrid material of metal matrix Composite(mmC) reinforced with carbon nanotubes(CNTs), manufactured with the use of powder metallurgy technique. The composite backplate material was morphologically, mechanically and chemically analysed. Results show that all plates are presenting high mechanical properties and ballistic characteristics, compared to commonly used armour plates. Real military ballistic tests according to AEP-sTANAG 4569 were carried out for the total composite armour systems. After the ballistic tests, AA2024-CNT3 showed the best protection results, compared with the other plates(AA2024-CNT1 and AA2024-CNT2), with the projectile being unable to fully penetrate the composite plate.

Objective: Botulinum toxin type A is frequently used to treat crow's feet lines. however, the optimal dose and injection sites are still controversial. The objective of this study was to compare the efficacy of different botulinum toxin type A injection patterns for the treatment of crow's feet. methods: This single-center, retrospective, clinical study was conducted at the National hospital of Dermatology and Venereology from july 2020 to December 2020. Data on 60 patients with crow's feet were collected and divided into 2 groups (3- or 4-point intramuscular injection) according to the intramuscular injection technique the patients received. The treatment efficacy was assessed based on the changes in the Crow's Feet Grading scale score at 1, 4, and 16 weeks after treatment. Repeated measures analysis of variance was used for the assessment of changes in scores over time between the two groups. Results: After treatment, the average Crow's Feet Grading scale score was significantly decreased compared with the pretreatment score at all timepoints (1, 4, and 16 weeks) in both states (dynamic: For 3-point intramuscular injection technique, 1 week: 1.90 ± 0.71 vs. 2.97 ± 0.56; 4 weeks: 1.87 ± 0.68 vs. 2.97 ± 0.56; 16 weeks: 2.60 ± 0.67 vs. 2.97 ± 0.56. For 4-point intramuscular injection technique, 1 week: 1.73 ± 0.83 vs. 3.03 ± 0.49; 4 weeks: 1.73 ± 0.74 vs. 3.03 ± 0.49; 16 weeks: 2.57 ± 0.68 vs. 3.03 ± 0.49, all P static: For 3-point intramuscular injection technique, 1 week: 1.20 ± 0.89 vs. 2.20 ± 0.85; 4 weeks: 1.20 ± 0.89 vs. 2.20 ± 0.85; 16 weeks: 1.87 ± 0.97 vs. 2.20 ± 0.85; For 4-point intramuscular injection technique, 1 week: 1.50 ± 0.86 vs. 2.30 ± 0.84; 4 weeks: 1.33 ± 0.84 vs. 2.30 ± 0.84; 16 weeks: 1.87 ± 0.97 vs. 2.30 ± 0.84. Objective: Ultrasonography is a diagnostic imaging technique used to visualize subcutaneous body structures for identification of possible pathologies. In this study, we aimed to explore the clinical significance of high-frequency ultrasound in differentiating the location of blisters between pemphigus and bullous pemphigoid. methods: Eighteen patients were recruited in Department of Dermatology, Zhongda hospital from 2020 to 2021 and divided into a pemphigus group (n = 8) and a bullous pemphigoid group (n = 10) according to the diagnostic criteria for each. Ultrasonographic images were collected using a 50-mhz high-frequency ultrasound system. The indexes of ultrasonic evaluation were the layer (epidermis or dermis), size, shape, internal echo, and boundary of the blister. Categorical variables are expressed as n (%), and differences were compared using Fisher's exact test. Results: The ultrasonographic images in the pemphigus group showed an intraepidermal semi-arc or irregular anechoic or hypoechoic areas. The inferior borders were situated above the characteristic thin linear hyperechoic bands of the epidermis. A linear hypoechoic band was present at the dermoepidermal junction in some cases. In the ultrasonographic images of the bullous pemphigoid group, the linear hyperechoic bands of the epidermis were continuous and intact. An oval fluid anechoic area (subepidermal blister) was present immediately below the bands. The location of the blisters in the ultrasonographic images was significantly different between the 2 groups (P sion: high-frequency ultrasound can be used as an auxiliary means to differentiate the location of blisters between pemphigus and bullous pemphigoid. © 2022 hospital for skin Diseases (Institute of Dermatology), Chinese Academy of medical sciences, and Chinese medical Association, published by wolters Kluwer, Inc.

side lobe level reduction(sLL)of antenna arrays significantly enhances the signal-to-interference ratio and improves the quality of service(QOs)in recent and future wireless communication systems starting from 5G up to ***,it improves the array gain and directivity,increasing the detection range and angular resolution of radar *** study proposes two highly efficient sLL reduction *** techniques are based on the hybridization between either the single convolution or the double convolution algorithms and the genetic algorithm(GA)to develop the Conv/GA andDConv/GA,*** convolution process determines the element’s excitations while the GA optimizes the element *** m elements linear antenna array(LAA),the convolution of the excitation coefficients vector by itself provides a new vector of excitations of length N=(2m−1).This new vector is divided into three different sets of excitations including the odd excitations,even excitations,and middle excitations of lengths m,m−1,andm,*** the same element spacing as the original LAA is used,it is noticed that the odd and even excitations provide a much lower sLL than that of the LAA but with amuch wider half-power beamwidth(hPBw).while the middle excitations give the same hPBwas the original LAA with a relatively higher *** the increased hPBwof the odd and even excitations,the element spacing is optimized using the ***,the synthesized arrays have the same hPBw as the original LAA with a two-fold reduction in the ***,for extreme sLL reduction,the DConv/GA is *** this technique,the same procedure of the aforementioned Conv/GA technique is performed on the resultant even and odd excitation *** provides a relatively wider hPBwthan the original LAA with about quad-fold reduction in the sLL.
