This study presents a seismic fragility analysis and ultimate spectral displacement assessment of regular low-rise masonry infilled （MI） reinforced concrete （RC） buildings using a coefficient-based method. The coefficient-based method does not require a complicated finite element analysis; instead, it is a simplifed procedure for assessing the spectral acceleration and displacement of buildings subjected to earthquakes. A regression analysis was first performed to obtain the best-fitting equations for the inter-story drift ratio （IDR） and period shift factor of low-rise MI RC buildings in response to the peak ground acceleration of earthquakes using published results obtained from shaking table tests. Both spectral acceleration- and spectral displacement-based fragility curves under various damage states （in terms of IDR） were then constructed using the coefficient-based method. Finally, the spectral displacements of low-rise MI RC buildings at the ultimate （or near- collapse） state obtained from this paper and the literature were compared. The simulation results indicate that the fragility curves obtained from this study and other previous work correspond well. Furthermore, most of the spectral displacements of low-rise MI RC buildings at the ultimate state from the literature fall within the bounded spectral displacements predicted by the coefficient-based method.

This paper uses the Butterfly Optimization Algorithm(BOA)with dominated sorting and crowding distance mechanisms to solve multi-objective optimization *** is also an improvement to the original version of BOA to alleviate its drawbacks before extending it into a multi-objective *** to better coverage and a well-distributed Pareto front,non-dominant rankings are applied to the modified BOA using the crowding distance *** benchmark functions and eight real-world problems have been used to test the performance of multi-objective non-dominated advanced BOA(MONsBOA),including unconstrained,constrained,and real-world design multiple-objective,highly nonlinear constraint *** performance metrics,such as Generational Distance(GD),Inverted Generational Distance(IGD),Maximum spread(Ms),and spacing(s),have been used for performance *** is demonstrated that the new MONsBOA algorithm is better than the compared algorithms in more than 80%occasions in solving problems with a variety of linear,nonlinear,continuous,and discrete characteristics based on the Pareto front when compared *** all the analysis,it may be concluded that the suggested MONsBOA is capable of producing high-quality Pareto fronts with very competitive results with rapid convergence.

In this work,carbon nanosheet（CNs） based electrode was designed for electrochemical biosensing of *** has been obtained by the pyrolysis of barley at 600-750℃ in a muffle furnace：it was then purified and *** CNs has been characterized by scanning electron microscopy（sEM）.X-ray diffraction（XRD） and Raman spectroscopic *** electrochemical activity of CNs-based electrode was investigated by linear sweep vollammetry（LsV） and square wave voltammetry（sWV）,for the oxidation of glucose in 0.001 M H2sO4（pH 6.0）.The linear range of the sensor was found to be 10-4-10-6M（1-100 μM） within the response time of 4 ***,its sensitivity reached as high as 26.002±0.01 μA/μM *** experiments revealed that the proposed electrode offered an excellent electrochemical activity towards the oxidation of glucose and could be applied for the construction of non-enzymatic glucose biosensors.

This paper considers the robust delay-dependent stability problem of a class of linear uncertain system with interval time-varying delay and proposes less conservative stability criteria for computing the maximum allowable bound of the delay range. Less conservatism of the proposed stability criteria is attributed to the delay-central point method of stability analysis, wherein the delay interval is partitioned into two subintervals of equal length, and the time derivative of a candidate Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional based on delay decomposition technique is evaluated in each of these delay segments. In deriving the stability conditions in LMI framework, neither model transformations nor bounding techniques using free-weighting matrix variables are employed for dealing the cross-terms that emerge from the time derivative of the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional; instead, they are dealt using tighter integral inequalities. The proposed analysis subsequently yields a stability condition in convex LMI framework that can be solved using standard numerical packages. For deriving robust stability conditions, two categories of system uncertainties, namely, time-varying structured and polytopic-type uncertainties, are considered. The effectiveness of the proposed stability criteria is validated through standard numerical examples.

The double perovskite oxide barium erbium niobate, Ba2ErNbO6 （BEN） was synthesized by solid state reaction technique. Rietveld refinement of the X-ray diffraction pattern of the sample showed cubic （Fm3m） phase at room temperature. Fourier trans-form infrared spectrum showed two primary phonon modes of the sample at around 387 and 600 cm-1. Raman spectrum of the sam-ple taken at 488 nm excitation wavelength showed four primary strong peaks at 106, 382, 747 and 814 cm-1. Lorentzian lines with 10 bands were used to fit the Raman spectrum. A group theoretical study was performed to assign all the Raman modes. Impedance spectroscopy was applied to investigate the ac electrical conductivity of BEN in a temperature range from 303 to 673 K and in a fre-quency range from 100 Hz-1 MHz. The dielectric relaxation mechanism was discussed in the frame work of permittivity, conduc-tivity, modulus and impedance formalisms. The complex plane plot of the impedance data was modeled by an equivalent circuit con-sisting of two serially connected R-CPE units, （one for the grain and the other for the grain boundary）, each containing a resistor （R） and a constant phase element （CPE）. The R-CPE units were used to incorporate the non-ideal character of the polarization phenome-non instead of an ideal capacitive behaviour. The relaxation time corresponding to dielectric loss was found to obey the Arrhenius law with activation energy of 0.85 eV. The frequency dependent conductivity spectra followed the Jonscher power law. The Cole-Cole model was used to investigate the dielectric relaxation mechanism in the sample.

The magneto-hydrodynamics(MHD)effect is studied at different inclined angles in rayleigh-Bénard(RB)convection inside a rectangular enclosure using the lattice Boltzmann method(LBM).The enclosure is filled with electrically conducting fluids of different *** characteristics are defined by Prandtl number,*** considered Pr values for this study are 10 and *** influence of other dimensionless parameters rayleigh numbers Ra=10^(3);10^(4);10^(5);10^(6) and Hartmann numbers Ha=0,10,25,50,100,on fluid flow and heat transfer,are also investigated considering different inclined anglesφof magnetic field by analyzing computed local Nusselt numbers and average Nusselt *** results of the study show the undoubted prediction capability of LBM for the current *** simulated results demonstrate that the augmentation in heat transfer is directly related to Ra values,but it is opposite while observing the characteristics of Ha ***,it is also found thatφhas a significant impact on heat transfer for different ***,isotherms are found to be always parallel to the horizontal axis at Ra=10^(3) as conduction overcomes the convection in the heat transfer,but this behaviour is not seen at Ra=10^(4) when Ha>***,at Ra=10^(6),oscillatory instability appears but LBM is still able to provide a complete map of this predicted beha*** appropriate validation with previous numerical studies demonstrates the accuracy of the present approach.
