The heat transfer through a concave permeable fin is analyzed by the local thermal non-equilibrium(LTNE)*** governing dimensional temperature equations for the solid and fluid phases of the porous extended surface are modeled,and then are nondimensionalized by suitable dimensionless ***,the obtained nondimensional equations are solved by the clique polynomial method(CPM).The effects of several dimensionless parameters on the fin's thermal profiles are shown by graphical ***,the current study implements deep neural structures to solve physics-governed coupled equations,and the best-suited hyperparameters are attained by comparison with various network *** results of the CPM and physicsinformed neural network(PINN)exhibit good agreement,signifying that both methods effectively solve the thermal modeling problem.

Background:Palatal rugae are asymmetrical elevations present on hard palate and are significant due to their uniqueness,stability and thus,aid in forensic ***:The objective is to determine palatal rugae morphology between parents and their offsprings and to determine their genetic *** and Methods:This randomized controlled cross-sectional single-blinded study was conducted on 50 families(randomly selected)who visited Vyas Dental College and Hospital.A total of 150 maxillary study models were examined and rugae were delineated and shape,size,and pattern of rugae were ***:Weak but significant correlation was seen in the nonspecific and angular type of palatal rugae between child and mother and child and father as Ps seen for curved,wavy,divergent,straight,horseshoe,angular,and nonspecific type of rugae with the higher%of wavy pattern matching(52%with mother and 54%with father).A considerable number of samples showed high heritability of primary and secondary rugae from both parents,but more predominantly to their mothers(branched,nonspecific,and straight).Conclusion:Both environmental and genetic factors can influence the rugae ***,studies should be conducted on a larger sample size to get more significant results.

The effect of different vegetation systems including bamboo plantation (BP), forest ecosystem (CF),citrus orchard (Ctr) and farmland (FL) on erosion and nutrients of red soil were investigated in hilly region of southeastern China to find effective control measures for soil erosion. The results showed that all the vegetation systems could significantly reduce soil erosion and nutrient losses compared to bare land (Br).The ability of different vegetation systems to conserve soil and water was in the order of Ctr ＞ BP ＞ CF ＞ FL ＞ Br. Vegetation could also improve soil fertility. The soil organic matter, total N and total P contents were much higher in all the vegetation systems than in bare land, especially for the top soils. Vegetation systems improved soil physical properties remarkably. Compared to the bare land, soil organic matter, TP,TK and available K, especially soil microbial biomass C, N and P, increased under all the vegetation ***, they were still much lower than expected, thus these biological measurements are still needed to be carried out continuously.

The study focused on investigating the effect of Deep Cryogenic Treatment(DCT)on the mechanical and ballistic properties of AA7075-T6 aluminum *** microstructure,microhardness,tensile strength,and impact strength of the Base Material(BM)and DCT-treated 7075 samples were analyzed through metallographic analysis and mechanical *** microstructure of the DCT-treated 7075 samples revealed fine grains and a distribution of secondary phase *** tensile strength,impact strength,and microhardness of DCT-treated samples increased by 7.41%,4%,and 9.68%,respectively,compared to the BM *** fractography analysis of the tensile samples showed cleavage facets,microvoids,and dimples in both the *** ballistic behavior of the BM and DCT target plates were studied by impacting hard steel core projectiles at a velocity of 750±10 m/*** target plates failed due to petaling and ductile hole enlargement,and the depth of penetration(DOP)of the DCT target was less than that of the BM target,indicating a higher ballistic *** post-ballistic microstructure examination of the target plates showed the formation of an Adiabatic shear Band(AsB)without any *** was concluded that the DCT treatment improved the mechanical and ballistic properties of the aluminum alloy due to grain refinement and high dislocation density.

High velocity ballistic impact deformation behaviour of Titanium/GFRP Fiber Metal Laminates(FML)has been *** single and multiple projectiles impact conditions were ***/GFRP FML targets were fabricated with addition of 5%and 10%weight percentage of boron carbide(B_(4)C)*** properties of Ti/GFRP FML targets were determined as per AsTM *** velocity ballistic experiments were conducted using Armour Piercing Projectile(APP)of diameter 7.62 mm and velocity ranging between 350 and 450 m/*** of penetration of the projectile into the target was *** deformation behaviour of Ti/GFRP targets with and without the presence of ceramic powder(B_(4)C)was investigated.“Ductile hole growth”failure mode was observed for pure GFRP target when subjected to single projectile impact whereas“plugging”failure mode was noted for Ti/GFRP *** presence of B_(4)C(5%by weight)particles has significantly improved the ballistic resistance of the Ti/GFRP FML target by offering frictional resistance to the projectile *** addition(10%by weight)of B_(4)C has reduced the ballistic performance due to *** of the targets showed‘brittle cracking’or‘fragmentation’*** compared to the published results of Aluminium(Al 1100/GFRP and Al 6061/GFRP)FMLs,Ti/GFRP FML showed lesser DoP which increases its potential application to aerospace industry.

This article presents the investigation of nonlinear vibration analysis of tapered porous functionally graded skew(TPFGs)plate considering the effects of geometrical non-uniformities to optimize the thickness in the structural *** TPFGs plate is analyzed considering linearly,bi-linearly,and exponentially varying *** plate’s effective material properties are tailor-made using a modified power-law distribution in which gradation varies along the thickness direction of the TPFGs *** the non-linear finite element formulation to develop the kinematic equation’s displacement model for the TPFGs plate is based on the first-order shear deformation theory(FsDT)in conjunction with von Karman’s *** nonlinear governing equations are established by Hamilton’s *** direct iterative method is adopted to solve the nonlinear mathematical relations to obtain the nonlinear *** influence of the porosity distributions and porosity parameter indices on the nonlinear frequency responses of the TPFGs plate for different skew angles and variable thicknesses are studied for various geometrical *** influence of taper ratio,variable thickness,skewness,porosity distributions,gradation,and boundary conditions on the plate’s nonlinear vibration is *** nonlinear frequency analysis reveals that the geometrical nonuniformities and porosities significantly influence the porous functionally graded plates with varying thickness than the uniform ***,exponentially and linearly variable thicknesses can be considered for the thickness optimizations of TPFGs plates in the structural design.

One of the very important ways to save electrical energy in the distribution system is network reconfiguration for loss reduction. Distribution networks are built as interconnected mesh networks; however, they are arranged to be radial in operation. The distribution feeder reconfiguration is to find a radial operating structure that optimizes network performance while satisfying operating constraints. The change in network configuration is performed by opening sectionalizing （normally closed） and closing tie （normally opened） switches of the network. These switches are changed in such a way that the radial structure of networks is maintained, all of the loads are energized, power loss is reduced, power quality is enhanced, and system security is increased. Distribution feeder reconfiguration is a complex nonlinear combinator- ial problem since the status of the switches is non- differentiable. This paper proposes a new evolutionary algorithm （EA） for solving the distribution feeder reconfiguration （DFR） problem for a 33-bus and a 16- bus sample network, which effectively ensures the loss minimization.

The paper describes a novel mathematical model to study the physics of fully ionized plasma flow through MPD thrusters otherwise known as magnetoplasmadynamic *** developed model consists of a set of differential equations obtained by coupling the Navier–stokes equations with Maxwell’s *** model developed was tested for various 1D and 1.5D *** simulations have been carried out for a special case of geometries called Tikhonov fitted geometries for alleviating the instability phenomenon commonly known as onset phenomenon in self-field MPD *** work was also extended to applied field MPD thrusters.A new equation for magnetic field was introduced to incorporate a virtual *** the computations were carried out using a higher order integration *** results obtained were found to be in good agreement with the previous work done on similar models.
