Energy levels, radiative rates, and lifetimes are calculated for all levels of 3s23p, 3s23d, 3s3p2, 3s3d2, 3s3p3d, 3p23d, 3s3d2, 3p3d2, 3p3, and 3d3 configurations of Al-like tungsten ion （W XLVII）. Multiconfigurational Dirac-Fock （MCDF） method is adopted for calculating energy levels and radiative rates. Oscillator strengths, radiative rates, and line strengths are reported for some E1 transitions from the ground level. Comparisons are made with the available data in the literature and good agreement has been found which confirms the reliability of our results.

The Ohmically heated circular limiter tokamak ADITYA （R0 = 75 cm, a = 25 cm） has been upgraded to a tokamak named the ADITYA Upgrade （ADITYA-U） with an open divertor configuration with divertor plates. The main goal of ADITYA-U is to carry out dedicated experiments relevant for bigger fusion machines including ITER, such as the generation and control of runaway electrons, disruption prediction, and mitigation studies, along with an improvement in confinement with shaped plasma. The ADITYA tokamak was dismantled and the assembly of ADITYA-U was completed in March 2016. Integration of subsystems like data acquisition and remote operation along with plasma production and preliminary plasma characterization of ADITYA-U plasmas are presented in this paper.

Dominant phase during hot deformation in the two-phase region of Zr-2.5Nb-0.5Cu （ZNC） alloy was studied using activation energy calculation of individual phases. Thermo-mechanical compression tests were performed on a two-phase ZNC alloy in the temperature range of 700-925 ℃ and strain rate range of 10-2-10 s-l, Flow stress data of the single phase were extrapolated in the two-phase range to calculate flow stress data of individual phases. Activation energies of individual phases were then calculated using calculated flow stress data in the two-phase range, Comparison of activation energies revealed that a phase is the dominant phase （deformation controlling phase） in the two-phase range. Constitutive equations were also developed on the basis of the deformation temperature range （or according to phases present） using a sine-hyperbolic type constitutive equation. The statistical analysis revealed that the constitutive equation developed for a particular phase showed good agreement with the experimental results in terms of correlation coefficient （R） and average absolute relative error （AARE）.

This work presents a semi-analytical solution of transient Dean flow in a composite annular duct with porous walls partially filled with porous *** flow is set up as a result of the imposed pressure gradient in the azimuthal eqT direction while both the outer and the inner cylinders are *** appropriate governing equations for the flow are rendered dimensionless and transformed using suitable techniques,the Laplace transform technique is further used to transform the partial differential equations into the total differential *** solution of the ODE is later transformed to the time domain using the well-known Riemann-sum approximation *** validate the accuracy of the numerical scheme deployed in this research,numerical comparison of the steady-state solution,and the values generated using the implicit finite difference on the transient state model is ***,higher dominance of clear fluid and fluid injection at the inner cylinder is found to enhance the fluid velocity at the fluid *** is also good to note that injection of fluid at the inner cylinder pose a decreasing influence on the flow with minimum or no effect near the point R=1.7.

A continuous fluidized bed bioreactor （FBBR） with nylon support particles was used to treat synthetic sulfide wastewater at different hydraulic retention time of 25, 50 and 75 min and upflow velocity of 14, 17 and 20 m/hr. The effects of upflow velocity, hydraulic retention time and reactor operation time on sulfide oxidation rate were studied using statistical model. Mixed culture obtained from the activated sludge, taken from tannery effluent treatment plant, was used as a source for microorganisms. The diameter and density of the nylon particles were 2-3 mm and 1140 kg/m3, respectively. Experiments were carried out in the reactor at a temperature of （30 ± 2）°C, at a fixed bed height of 16 cm after the formation of biofilm on the surface of support particles. Biofilm thickness reached （42 ± 3） μm after 15 days from reactor start-up. The sulfide oxidation, sulfate and sulfur formation is examined at all hydraulic retention times and upflow velocities. The results indicated that almost 90%-92% sulfide oxidation was achieved at all hydraulic retention times. statistical model could explain 94% of the variability and analysis of variance showed that upflow velocity and hydraulic retention time slightly affected the sulfide oxidation rate. The highest sulfide oxidation of 92% with 70% sulfur was obtained at hydraulic retention time of 75 min and upflow velocity of 14 m/hr.

The locus coeruleus(LC) is one of the essential chemoregulatory and sleep–wake(s–W) modulating centers in the brain. LC neurons remain highly active during wakefulness, and some implicitly become silent during rapid eye movement(REM) sleep. LC neurons are also involved in CO_2-dependent modulation of the respiratory drive. Acid-sensing ion channels(AsICs) are highly expressed in some brainstem chemosensory breathing regulatory areas, but their localization and functions in the LC remain unknown. Mild hypercapnia increases the amount of non-REM(NREM) sleep and the number of REM sleep episodes, but whether AsICs in the LC modulate s–W is unclear. Here, we investigated the presence of AsICs in the LC and their role in s–W modulation and the state transition from NREM to REM sleep. Male Wistar rats were surgically prepared for chronic polysomnographic recordings and drug microinjections into the LC. The presence of AsIC-2 and AsIC-3 in the LC was immunohistochemically *** of amiloride(an AsIC blocker) and APETx2(a blocker of AsIC-2 and-3) into the LC significantly decreased wakefulness and REM sleep, but significantly increased NREM sleep. Mild hypercapnia increased the amount of NREM and the number of REM episodes. However, APETx2 microinjection inhibited this increase in REM frequency. These results suggest that the AsICs of LC neurons modulate s–W, indicating that AsICs could play an important role in vigilance-state transition. A mild increase in CO_2 level during NREM sleep sensed by AsICs could be one of the determinants of state transition from NREM to REM sleep.

The extended Brinkman Darcy model for momentum equations and an energy equation is used to calculate the unsteady natural convection Couette flow of a viscous incompressible heat generating/absorbing fluid in a vertical channel （formed by two infinite vertical and parallel plates） filled with the fluid-saturated porous medium. The flow is triggered by the asymmetric heating and the accelerated motion of one of the bounding plates. The governing equations are simplified by the reasonable dimensionless parameters and solved analytically by the Laplace transform techniques to obtain the closed form solutions of the velocity and temperature profiles. Then, the skin friction and the rate of heat transfer are consequently derived. It is noticed that, at different sections within the vertical channel, the fluid flow and the temperature profiles increase with time, which are both higher near the moving plate. In particular, increasing the gap between the plates increases the velocity and the temperature of the fluid, however, reduces the skin friction and the rate of heat transfer.

High-strength Cu-3Ag-0.5Zr alloy plates were produced by multi-pass rolling in the temperature range of 500-800 ℃. An increase in strength was observed by rolling in the aforementioned range without significant loss in ductility. All the rolled samples show higher strength than solution-treated and aged samples. The maximum strength was observed for plates rolled at 500 ℃ with a yield strength and ultimate tensile strength of 311 and 385 MPa, respectively, and retaining a ductility of 23 %. Transmission electron microscopy （TEM） studies showed uniform distribution of fine silver precipitates and high dislocation density in the rolled samples. Nevertheless, the size of precipitates and dislocation density varied with the rolling temperature. The superior strength achieved in the rolled samples is attributed to grain refinement, dislocation strengthening, and precipitation hardening. This method can be employed to produce high-strength plates of pre- cipitation hardenable copper alloys.
