Assessment of Fatigue in Undifferentiated spondyloarthritis (UspA)

Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the fatigue in patients with undifferentiated spondyloarthritis [UspA], and its relationship with disease-specific variables, spinal mobility measures and healthy related quality of life [HRQOL]. Methods: Eighty patients with UspA and forty healthy subjects were included in this study. The multidimensional assessment of fatigue [MAF] and the generic instrument short Form 36 [sF 36] were used in patient and control groups to assess fatigue and [HRQOL]. Fatigue was also assessed with the Bath ankylosing spondylitis disease activity index [BAsDAI] fatigue item. The evaluation included the activity of the disease [BAsDAI], functional status [Bath ankylosing spondylitis functional index], and visual analog scale [VAs] of axial and joint pain. Demographics and disease-related data were obtained. Results: Patients with UspA had higher scores in MAF total and in all MAF subgroup scales than controls. All sF-36 subgroups scores were also found to be significantly lower in patients. severe fatigue experienced 60% in patients. MAF total scores were found to be significantly correlated with morning stiffness, BAsDAI, Bath ankylosing spondylitis functional index (BAsFI), BAsDAI fatigue, VAs-axial, and sF-36 subgroups scores in patients [p sions: The patients with UspA defined significantly more fatigue and lower HRQOL when compared with healthy persons. MAF was found to be related with the clinical and functional status and health-related quality of life of patients with UspA.

A new generic open pit mine planning process with risk assessment ability

Conventionally, mining industry relies on a deterministic view, where a unique mine plan is determined based on a single resource model. A major shortfall of this approach is the inability to assess the risk caused by the well-known geological uncertainty, i.e. the in situ grade and tonnage variability of the mineral deposit. Despite some recent attempts in developing stochastic mine planning models which have demonstrated promising results, the industry still remains sceptical about this innovative idea. With respect to unbiased linear estimation, kriging is the most popular and reliable deterministic interpolation technique for resource estimation and it appears to remain its popularity in the near future. This paper presents a new systematic framework to quantify the risk of kriging-based mining projects due to the geological uncertainties. Firstly, conditional simulation is implemented to generate a series of equally-probable orebody realisations and these realisations are then compared with the kriged resource model to analyse its geological uncertainty. secondly, a production schedule over the life of mine is determined based on the kriged resource model. Finally, risk profiles of that production schedule, namely ore and waste tonnage production, blending grade and Net Present Value （NPV）, are constructed using the orebody realisations. The proposed model was applied on a multi-element deposit and the result demonstrates that that the kriging-based mine plan is unlikely to meet the production targets. Especially, the kriging-based mine plan overestimated the expected NPV at a magnitude of 6.70% to 7.34% （135 M$ to 151 M$）. A new multivariate conditional simulation framework was also introduced in this paper to cope with the multivariate nature of the deposit. Although an iron ore deposit is used to prove the concepts, the method can easily be adapted to other kinds of mineral deposits, including surface coal mine.

Probiotics are beneficial microorganisms with certain characteristics such as survival under gastrointestinal conditions,adhesion to intestinal surface and different functions which result in several health benefits to *** this regards,this study aimed to isolate Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB) from sourdough and human feces as two different environments and to test their potential probiotic *** total nine distinct isolates were assessed with several probiotic functions such as in vitro adhesion to human colon cells,antimicrobial activities and survival under harsh gastrointestinal *** general,distinct strains showed strong antimicrobial activity against the pathogenic and fungal strains tested in this ***,the adhesion levels to HT29 cells were determined between 0.29 % and 9.54% and Lactobacillus paracasei F7B showed the highest *** isolates tolerated the bile salt after 24 h and the infant feces isolates showed good survival characteristics at pH 4.

本项目的目的是试图确定以地道或岩石隧道被动式地预先处理空气,以用于住宅采暖的效能。地道设计所用的资料来自全面试验中收集的实验数据及理论研究成果。该次试验是在低于冻结温度的10天中进行的。使空气以恒定的流量通过地下隧道循环。顺着隧道的进气口至排气口每隔4小时在各测试台观测岩石及空气温度。在该次实验的基础上,形成了以地道或岩石隧道预热冬季空气,适用于住宅采暖的设计。可以确定:热泵能够作为地下暖空气及住宅采暖系统之间的能量传递装置。
