Recently, rare-earth perovskite-type oxides with the general formula ABO(A rare earth element, B transition metal, O oxygen) are regarded as promising materials for Ni/oxide batteries due to their hydrogen storage ability. In the present study, the hydrogen storage properties of the rare-earth perovskite-type oxide LasrCoFeOwere evaluated in alkaline solution and at various temperatures. The hydrogen storage properties were investigated electrochemically by applying galvanostatic charge/discharge currents. Electrochemical pressurecomposition-temperature isotherms were constructed using the Nernst equation. The exchange current density and proton hydrogen diffusion coefficient were calculated using linear polarization measurements and the potential-step method, respectively. Interestingly, the maximum hydrogen absorption capacity, re-calculated from the electrochemical capacity, is 1.72 wt% at 333 K and 6 mol·LKOH. In addition, the hysteresis value, calculated from pressure-composition-temperature isotherms, was429 J·molat 333 K,while the self-discharge rate was about 25% after 24-h storage at open circuit and at 333 K.

Influenced by the fact that vorticity represents rotation for rigid body,people believe this idea also works for fluid ***,the vortex predictions by vorticity do not match experimental results,which drove scientists to look for more appropriate methods to identify *** vortex identification methods can be categorized into three *** vorticity-based method is classified as the first *** relying on eigenvalues of velocity gradient tensor are considered as the second *** still believe vorticity is vortex since vorticity theory looks correct in mathematics,but all other methods are only scalars and unable to indicate the swirl ***,a new vortex identification method called Liutex is *** is regarded as the third-generation method,not only overcoming all previous methods’drawbacks but also having a clear physical *** direction of Liutex represents the swirl axis of rotation,and its strength is equal to twice the angular *** this paper,we did a correlation analysis between vorticity,Q,λ_(ci),λ_(2)methods and Liutex based on a direct numerical simulation(DNs)case of boundary layer *** results show that the correlation between vorticity and Liutex is very small or even negative in strong shear regions,which demonstrates that using vorticity to detect vortex lacks scientific foundation and vorticity is not appropriate to represent *** correlation analysis also shows that the second generation is contaminated too by shear and thus is not accurate to identify the vortex structure.

The increasing integration of renewable energy sources into current power systems has posed the challenge of adequately representing the statistical properties associated with their variable power generation. In this paper, a novel procedure is proposed to select a proper synthetic time series generation model for renewable energy sources to analyze power system problems. The procedure takes advantage of the objective of the specific analysis to be performed and the statistical characteristics of the available time series. The aim is to determine the suitable model to be used for generating synthetic time series of renewable energy sources. A set of indicators is proposed to verify that the statistical properties of synthetic time series fit the statistical properties of the original data. The proposal can be integrated into systematic tools available for data analysis without compromising the representation of the statistical properties of the original time series. The procedure is tested using real data from the New Zealand power system in a mid-term analysis on integrating wind power plants into the power system. The results show that the proposed procedure reduces the error obtained in analyzing power systems compared with reference models.

AIM:To investigate the capability of a biochemical and clinical model,BioCliM,in predicting the survival of cirrhotic ***:We prospectively evaluated the survival of 172 cirrhotic *** model was constructed using clinical(ascites,encephalopathy and variceal bleeding) and biochemical(serum creatinine and serum total bilirubin) variables that were selected from a Cox proportional hazards *** was applied to estimate 12-,52-and 104-wk *** model's calibration using the Hosmer-Lemeshow statistic was computed at 104 wk in a validation ***,the model's validity was tested among an independent set of 85 patients who were stratified into 2 risk groups(low risk≤8 and high risk>8).REsULTs:In the validation cohort,all measures of fi t,discrimination and calibration were improved when the biochemical and clinical model was *** proposed model had better predictive values(c-statistic:0.90,0.91,0.91) than the Model for End-stage Liver Disease(MELD) and Child-Pugh(CP) scores for 12-,52-and 104-wk mortality,*** addition,the Hosmer-Lemeshow(H-L) statistic revealed that the biochemical and clinical model(H-L,4.69) is better calibrated than MELD(H-L,17.06) and CP(H-L,14.23).There were no significant differences between the observed and expected survival curves in the stratified risk groups(low risk,P=0.61;high risk,P=0.77).CONCLUsION:Our data suggest that the proposed model is able to accurately predict survival in cirrhotic patients.
