Temporary mechanical circulatory support(tMCs)plays a pivotal role in managing severe or refractory cardiogenic shock(Cs),furnishing essential hemodynamic support,and sustaining organ perfusion from hours to weeks,or to even *** the past decade,the utilization of tMCs has witnessed a signicant increase in American and European *** in Asia,the newly developed concepts and devices constituting tMCs have also made rapid ***,the absence of a consensus or standardized guidelines,especially for the Asian population considering inherited polymorphism,is *** address this knowledge gap,eight associations/societies and experts in thiseld came up with the present consensus after repeated discussions,more specically for the Asian *** comprehensively elucidates the commonly employed tMCs devices,criteria for patient selection,indications and contraindications,clinical management,and the optimal timing for implantation and *** goal of this statement is to promote the standardized application of tMCs and make reasonable decisions in clinical ***-length version of the consensus can be seen in supplementary File,http://***/CM9/B883.

On 12th May 2008, a MW7.9 earthquake occurred on the Longmenshan fault in the mountains to the west of sichuan Province, which shook many Asian cities and killed at least 69000 people. The surface ruptures strike NE and extend up to 270 km along the boundary between the eastern Tibetan Plateau and the sichuan basin. It was difficult to complete the detailed mapping of surface ruptures and to measure fault slip in the field because well-defined features to correlate across the fault were rare in mountainous area. Near surface deformation is in fact composed of contributions from internal faulting and folding. Using the COsI-Corr software, we obtain coseismic ground displacements deduced from sub-pixel correlation of sPOT5 and ENVIsAT and also from D-InsAR on ENVIsAT. The results can provide continuous surface displacements. In the south, the results show significant shortening, generally s, and two parallel ruptures, while in the north, they show strike slip dominant and only a single rupture. Based on our results, we simulate the fault geometry in different locations. To realize the long-term fault kinematics a comparison is further needed between coseismic deformation and long-term geomorphic deformation recorded in the landforms.

This paper reports fast and efficient chemical decontamination of water within a tree-branched centimeter-scale microfluidic *** microreactor integrates Zinc oxide nanowires(ZnO NWs)in situ grown acting as an efficient photocatalytic nanomaterial *** growth of ZnO NWs within the microfluidic chamber brings this photocatalytic medium at the very close vicinity of the water flow path,hence minimizing the required interaction time to produce efficient purification *** demonstrate a degradation efficiency of 95%in o5 s of residence time in one-pass *** to our estimates,it becomes attainable using microfluidic reactors to produce decontamination of merely 1 l of water per day,typical of the human daily drinking water *** conduct our experiments,we have chosen a laboratory-scale case study as a seed for addressing the health concern of water contamination by volatile organic compounds(VOCs),which remain difficult to remove using alternative decontamination techniques,especially those involving water *** contaminated water sample contains mixture of five pollutants:Benzene;Toluene;Ethylbenzene;m–p Xylenes;and o-Xylene(BTEX)diluted in water at 10 *** of *** was analytically monitored in a selective manner until it falls below 1 *** each of the five pollutants,corresponding to the maximum contaminant level(MCL)established by the Us Environmental Protection Agency(EPA).We also report on a preliminary study,investigating the nature of the chemical by-products after the photocatalytic VOCs degradation process.

＜正＞Chronic inflammation impairs metabolic homeostasis and is intimately correlated with the pathogenesis of type 2 *** pro - inflammatory cytokine IFN-γis an integral part of the metabolic inflammation circuit and contributes significantly to the metabolic *** underlying mechanism,however, remains largely *** the present study,we report that IFN-γdisrupts the expression of genes key to cellular metabolism and energy expenditure through suppressing the activity of the transcription factor FOXO1 as demonstrated by real-time quantitative PCR,transcription assay,and electrophoresis mobility shift assay （EMsA）.IFN-γantagonizes FOXO1 function by repressing the expression and activity of sIRT1,required for deacetylation and nuclear retention of FOXO1,at the transcription *** analysis reveals that IFN -γrequires class Ⅱ transactivator（CIITA） to repress sIRT1 ***,once induced by IFN -γ, is recruited to the sIRT1 promoter by hypermethylated in cancer 1（HIC1） and promotes down - regulation of sIRT1 transcription via active deacetylation of core histones surrounding the sIRT1 proximal *** CIITA or treatment with HDAC inhibitors restores sIRT1 activity and expression of FOXO1 target genes in skeletal muscle cells challenged with IFN-γ.Therefore,our data delineate an IFN-γ/HIC1/CIITA axis that contributes to metabolic dysfunction by suppressing sIRT1 transcription in skeletal muscle cells and as such shed new light on the development of novel therapeutic strategies against type 2 diabetes.

Co-integration of nanomaterials into microdevices poses several technological challenges and presents numerous scientific opportunities that have been addressed in this paper by integrating zinc oxide nanowires(ZnO-NWs)into a microfluidic *** addition to the applications of these combined materials,this work focuses on the study of the growth dynamics and uniformity of nanomaterials in a tiny microfluidic reactor environment.A unique experimental platform was built through the integration of a noninvasive optical charaaerization technique with the microfluidic *** platform allowed the unprecedented demonstration of time-resolved and spatially resolved monitoring of the in situ growth of NWs,in which the chemicals were continuously fed into the microfluidic *** platform was also used to assess the uniformity of NWs grown quickly in a 10-mm-wide microchamber,which was intentionally chosen to be 20 times wider than those used in previous attempts because it can accommodate applications requiring a large surface of interaction while still taking advantage of submillimeter *** observations included the effects of varying the flow rate on the NW diameter and length in addition to a synergetic effect of continuous renewal of the growth solution and the confined environment of the chemical reaction.

Photocatalysis is one of the most promising processes for treating air and water *** civil engineering materials for environmental depollution by photocatalysis have already been synthesized by incorporating TiO_(2) or ZnO nanoparticles in *** method suffers from two flaws:first,most of the NPs are incorporated into the cement and useless for photocatalysis;second,rain and wind could spread the potentially carcinogenic nanoparticles from the cement surface into ***,we propose the efficient synthesis of nontoxic and biocompatible ZnO nanostructures solely onto the surface of commercially available concrete and tiling pavements by a low-cost and lowtemperature hydrothermal *** samples exhibited enhanced photocatalytic activity for degrading organic dyes in aqueous media,and dye molecules are commonly used in the pharmaceutical,food,and textile *** studies showed no loss of efficiency after four photocatalysis *** supported structures,which are easy to implement onto the varying surfaces of commercially available materials,are promising for integration into civil engineering surfaces for environmental depollution in our daily life.

study of Gas Heating by a Microwave Plasma Torch

Among the different types of microwave plasma torches, the axial injection torch (TIA) has been used for several years to create chemically active species, in applications such as gas analysis, surface processing and gaseous waste treatments. The TIA allows the coupling of microwave energy (2.45 GHz) to a gas injected axially at the nozzle’s exit. The TIA produces non-local thermodynamic equilibrium plasmas with a high luminosity and a maximum density of charged particles at the nozzle’s exit. The present work is dedicated to study the plasma created by a TIA, running at atmospheric pressure. The study involves both experiment and modeling of this torch, in order to maximize the coupling between the microwave power and the plasma and to define the optimum plasma and flow operating conditions for plasma-to-gas heat transfer.

We fabricated heterojunctions consisting of a single n-type ZnO nanowire and a p-type GaN film. Photovoltaic(PV) effects in these p-n junctions were systematically investigated via illumination with either a UV laser or one sun source at different temperatures and incident light *** PV device exhibited a short-circuit current of～10mA/cm,open-circuit voltages ranging from 2 to 2.7V,and a maximum output power reaching 80 *** applications of these p-n junctions are demonstrated:single Cds nanobelt photodetectors powered by the PV device and light e-mitting diodes with UV electroluminescence.
