Let C be a cone and consider a quasi-norm p defined on it. We study the structure of the couple （C, p） as a topological space in the case where the function p is also monotone. We characterize when the topology of a quasi-normed cone can be defined by means of a monotone norm. We also define and study the dual cone of a monotone normed cone and the monotone quotient of a general cone. We provide a decomposition theorem which allows us to write a cone as a direct sum of a monotone subcone that is isomorphic to the monotone quotient and other particular subcone.

In general, Banach space-valued Riemann integrable functions defined on [0, 1] （equipped with the Lebesgue measure） need not be weakly continuous almost everywhere. A Banach space is said to have the weak Lebesgue property if every Riemann integrable function taking values in it is weakly continuous almost everywhere. In this paper we discuss this property for the Banach space LX^1 of all Bochner integrable functions from [0, 1] to the Banach space X. We show that LX^1 has the weak Lebesgue property whenever X has the Radon-Nikodym property and X＊ is separable. This generalizes the result by Chonghu Wang and Kang Wan [Rocky Mountain J. Math., 31（2）, 697-703 （2001）] that L^1[0, 1] has the weak Lebesgue property.

Temperate fruit trees belonging to prunus species have the ability to suspend(induce dormancy)and resume growth periodically in response to environmental and seasonal *** release requires the long-term accumulation of *** accumulation of cultivar-specific chill requirements,plants enter the state of ecodormancy,which means the ability to grow has been restored,depending on the fulfilment of heat *** many different metabolic pathways are implicated in endodormancy release,we have performed a metabolomic analysis,using the ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography–quadrupole time-of-flying(UpLC–QToF)*** assayed flower buds in different stages of endodormancy in four almond cultivars with different flowering times:the extra-early Desmayo Largueta,the late Antoñeta,the extra-late penta,and the ultra-late *** orthogonal projection to latent-structure discriminant-analysis model was created to observe differences between endodormant and ecodormant flower *** metabolites showing the most significant variation were searched against the Metlin,HMDB,and KEGG libraries,which allowed us to identify 87 *** metabolites were subsequently assigned to specific pathways,such as abscisic acid biosynthesis,phenylpropanoid biosynthesis,and D-sorbitol metabolism,among *** two metabolites that exhibited the most significant variations in all the cultivars studied with fold changes of up to 6.49 were ascorbic acid and *** the first time,these two metabolites have been proposed as potential biomarkers for endodormancy release in *** the high synteny present between the Rosaceae species,these results could be extrapolated to other important crops like peach,plum,cherry,or apricot,among others.

This paper shows the results of the assessment of impairment suffered by elements of electronic equipment by environmental effects in different climatic zones of Mexico. For this study, evaluated devices were evaluated that are mostly exposed under different climatic conditions of operation, to determine the degree of damage suffered which leads to malfunction, reduced service life and loss of information in some cases. The main contribution is to identify the causes of the deterioration to delay the effect of atmospheric corrosion deterioration in electronic components. The Mexican Republic has a wide range of climates and subclimates over its territory, sampling was performed for each one of the most representative regions, by their nature tend to be more conducive to the release of corrosive effect on the computer and electronic devices. For the determination of existing impairment in electronic equipment, a methodology is proposed for the evaluation of samples taken from each region, determining the degree of corrosion that exists in these devices. It should be noted that according to the literature, the main pollutants that lead to the deterioration caused by corrosive environmental phenomena are sO2, NOx, CO, CO2, coupled with the presence of ozone and chloride, characteristic of the coastal region, combined with the percent relative humidity (% HR), and temperature cycles as reported by environmental monitoring systems in Mexico. With the study of atmospheric corrosivity in electronic devices has been determined: 1) Design and operation of chamber to accelerated atmospheric corrosion testing. 2) Identification of electronic components with increased susceptibility to corrosive phenomena under typical environmental different regions of Mexico. 3) Correlation of damage suffered in electronic equipment under typical operating conditions and accelerated tests. 4) Determining the degree of atmospheric corrosion on electronic equipment. 5) Construction of atmospher

AIM： To study of the effect of caffeic acid phenethyl ester （CApE） on the initiation period in a medium-term assay of hepatocarcinogenesis. METHODs： Male Wistar rats were subjected to a carcinogenic treatment （CT） and sacrificed at 25^th d; altered hepatic foci （AHF） were generated efficiently. To a second group of rats a single 20 mg/kg doses of CApE was given 12 h before initiation with CT and were sacrificed at 25^th d. We evaluated the expression of preneoplastic markers as Y-glutamyltranspeptidase （GGT） and glutathione s-transferase type pi protein （GsTp） by histochemistry, RT-pCR and Western blot analyses, respectively. We measured thiobarbituric acid reactive substances （TBARs） in homogenates of liver and used Unscheduled DNA synthesis （UDs） assay by incorporation of [^3H] thymidine （^3HdT） in primary hepatocyte cultures （pHC）. REsULTs： At 25^th d after CT CApE reduced the observed increase of GGT^＋AHF by 84% and liver expression ofggt mRNA by 100%. In case of the GsTp protein, the level was reduced by 90%. As indicative of oxidative stress generated by diethylnitrosamine （DEN） 12 h after its administration, we detected a 68% increase of TBARs. When CApE was administered before DEN, it completely protected from liver TBARs induction. To have an indication of the sole effect of CApE on initiation, two carcinogens were tested in a UDs assay in pHC, we used methyl-n-nitrosoguanidine as a direct carcinogen and DEN, as indirect carcinogen. In this assay, genotoxic damage caused by carcinogens was abolished at 5μM CApE concentration. CONCLUsION： Our results demonstrated that CApE possesses anti-genotoxic and antineoplastic capabilities, by an anti-oxidative and free-radical scavenging mechanism.
