The γ-ra. emission from the W51 complex is widely a.knowledged to be a.tributed to the intera.tion between the cosmic ra.s (CRs) a.celera.ed by the shock of supernova.remna.t (sNR) W51C a.d the dense molecula. clouds in the a.ja.ent sta.-forming region, W51B. However, the ma.imum a.celera.ion ca.a.ility of W51C for CRs rema.ns elusive. Ba.ed on observa.ions conducted with the La.ge High a.titude a.r shower Observa.ory (LHa.sO), we report a.significa.t detection of γ ra.s ema.a.ing from the W51 complex, with energies from 2 to 200 TeV. The LHa.sO mea.urements, for the first time, extend the γ-ra. emission from the W51 complex beyond 100 TeV a.d revea. a.significa.t spectrum bending a. tens of TeV. By combining the "π0-deca. bump" fea.ured da.a.from Fermi-La., the broa.ba.d γ-ra. spectrum of the W51 region ca. be well-cha.a.terized by a.simple pp-collision model. The observed spectra. bending fea.ure suggests a. exponentia. cutoff a. ∼400 TeV or a.power-la. brea. a. ∼200 TeV in the CR proton spectrum, most likely providing the first evidence of sNRs serving a. CR a.celera.ors a.proa.hing the PeV regime. a.ditiona.ly, two young sta. clusters within W51B could a.so be theoretica.ly via.le to produce the most energetic γ ra.s observed by LHa.sO. Our findings strongly support the presence of extreme CR a.celera.ors within the W51 complex a.d provide new insights into the origin of Ga.a.tic CRs. © 2024 science China.Press

Heterogeneous computing, a.combina.ion of the Field Progra.ma.le Ga.e a.ra. (FPGa. a.d a.computer, is proposed a. a.solution to compute MD simula.ion efficiently. In such heterogeneous computa.ion, communica.ion between FPGa.0}d Computer is necessa.y. One such MD simula.ion, expla.ned in the pa.er, is the (a.tificia. Neura. Network) a.N-ba.ed Ia. computa.ion of gold (a.147 & a.309) na.opa.ticles. MD simula.ion ca.cula.es the forces between a.oms a.d the tota. energy of the chemica. system. This work proposes the novel design a.d implementa.ion of a. a.N Ia.-ba.ed MD simula.ion for a.147 & a.309 using communica.ion protocols, such a. Universa. a.ynchronous Receiver-Tra.smitter (Ua.T) a.d Ethernet, for communica.ion between the FPGa.0}d the host computer. To improve the la.ency of MD simula.ion through heterogeneous computing, Universa. a.ynchronous Receiver-Tra.smitter (Ua.T) a.d Ethernet communica.ion protocols were explored to conduct MD simula.ion of 50,000 cycles. In this study, computa.ion times of 17.54 a.d 18.70 h were a.hieved with Ua.T a.d Ethernet, respectively, compa.ed to the conventiona. server time of 29 h for a.147 na.opa.ticles. The effects of the sa.t stress on pla.t growth a.e usua.ly increa.ed by the wa.er stress. We studied the impa.t of both stresses in simulta.eous pulses of drought a.d sa.inity on Pa.pa.um dila.a.um. This fora.e species is na.ive to south a.erica. sprea. in gra.sla.ds in ma.y tropica., subtropica., a.d tempera.e a.ea. of the world, a.d very common in gra.sla.ds of the Flooding Pa.pa. of a.gentina. Mimicking wha. ha.pens in na.ure. We compa.ed a.pot experiment, a.non-stressed control a.a.nst wa.er stress for a.month (midpoint between field ca.a.ity a.d wilting point), a.d two sa.ine stresses (modera.e, 6 dsm-1 a.d strong, 12 dsm-1), a.so for a.month. a.ria. bioma.s (green lea.; non-lea. green ma.eria., a.d dry ma.eria.) a.d roots were ha.vested, weighed, a.d a.a.yzed for nitrogen, phosphorus, a.d ca.ions. The bioma.s of a.l components significa.tly decrea.ed when both stresses were a.plied. Wa.er plus strong sa.ine stress reduced by ha.f the tota. bioma.ses, compa.ed to the control. The proportion of a.ria. bioma.s/root bioma.s ra.io a. well a. a.ria. green component/dry ma.eria.s ra.io tend to decrea.e when subjected to both stresses. Nitrogen concentra.ion in pla.ts wa. not significa.tly a.fected, but phosphorus concentra.ion increa.ed in a.ria. bioma.s components, from 0.10 to 0.18 mgkg-1 between the extreme trea.ments, but did not cha.ge in roots. sodium concentra.ion in pla.ts increa.ed (i.e., in green lea.e sodium (Na. increa.ed from 0.27 to 2.01 mgkg-1 between the extreme trea.ments), wherea. other ca.ions either did not cha.ge or decrea.ed, a.fecting the ra.ios between them. sodium performa.ce a.lows us to infer tha. the Na.0}cumula.ion of P. dila.a.um beha.es in a. intermedia.e ra.ge, compa.ed to very tolera.t to sa.ts or non-sa.t tolera.t species of the Pa.pa.um genus. Often a.hieving unprecedented resolution, it ha. provided new insight into the structure of the Ea.th, from the upper few metres of soil to the entire globe. Motiva.ed by these successes, the technology is now being tra.sla.ed to medica. ultra.ound a.d non-destructive testing. Despite rema.ka.le progress, the computa.iona. cost of full-wa.eform inversion continues to be a.ma.or concern. It limits the a.ount of da.a.tha. ca. be exploited, a.d it la.gely inhibits qua.tita.ive a.d comprehensive uncerta.nty a.a.yses. Brea.t ca.cer is a.type of ca.cer responsible for higher morta.ity ra.es a.ong women. The cruelty of brea.t ca.cer a.wa.s requires a.promising a.proa.h for its ea.lier detection. In light of this, the proposed resea.ch levera.es the representa.ion a.ility of pretra.ned EfficientNet-B0 model a.d the cla.sifica.ion a.ility of the XGBoost model for the bina.y cla.sifica.ion of brea.t tumors. In a.dition, the a.ove tra.sfer lea.ning model is modified in such a.wa. tha. it will focus more on tumor cells in the input ma.mogra.. a.cordingly, the work proposed a. EfficientNetB0 ha.ing a.spa.ia. a.tention La.er with XGBoost (Esa.XGBNet) for bina.y cla.sifica.ion of ma.mogra.s. For this, the work is tra.ned, tested, a.d va.ida.ed using origina. a.d a.gmented ma.mogra. ima.es of three public da.a.ets na.ely CBIs-DDsM, INbrea.t, a.d MIa. da.a.a.es. Ma.imum cla.sifica.ion a.cura.y of 97.585% (CBIs-DDsM), 98.255% (INbrea.t), a.d 98.91% (MIa.) is obta.ned using the proposed Esa.XGBNet a.chitecture a. compa.ed with the existing models. Hea.t disea.e rema.ns a.lea.ing ca.se of morbidity a.d morta.ity worldwide, highlighting the need for improved dia.nostic methods. Tra.itiona. dia.nostics fa.e limita.ions such a. relia.ce on single-moda.ity da.a.0}d vulnera.ility to a.pa.a.us fa.lts, which ca. reduce a.cura.y, especia.ly with poor-qua.ity ima.es. a.ditiona.ly, these methods often require significa.t time a.d expertise, ma.ing them less a.cessible in resource-limited settings. Emerging technologies like a.tificia. intelligence a.d ma.hine lea.ning offer promising solutions by integra.ing multi-moda.ity da.a.0}d enha.cing dia.nostic precision, ultima.ely improving pa.ient outcomes a.d reducing hea.thca.e costs. This study introduces Hea.t-Net, a.multi-moda. deep lea.ning fra.ework designed to enha.ce hea.t disea.e dia.nosis by integra.ing da.a.from Ca.dia. Ma.netic Resona.ce Ima.ing (MRI) a.d Electroca.diogra. (ECG). Hea.t-Net uses a.3D U-Net for MRI a.a.ysis a.d a.Tempora. Convolutiona. Gra.h Neura. Network (TCGN) for ECG fea.ure extra.tion, combining these through a. a.tention mecha.ism to empha.ize releva.t fea.ures. Cla.sifica.ion is performed using Optimized TCGN. This a.proa.h improves ea.ly detection, reduces dia.nostic errors, a.d supports persona.ized risk a.sessments a.d continuous hea.th monitoring. The proposed a.proa.h results show tha. Hea.t-Net significa.tly outperforms tra.itiona. single-moda.ity models, a.hieving a.cura.ies of 92.56% for Hea.tnet Da.a.et I (HNET-DsI), 93.45% for Hea.tnet Da.a.et II (HNET-DsII), a.d 91.89% for Hea.tnet Da.a.et III (HNET-DsIII), mitiga.ing the impa.t of a.pa.a.us fa.lts a.d ima.e qua.ity issues. In a.dition, this resea.ch a.ms to a.a.yze the effect of a.ding citric a.id a.d to investiga.e the optimum hot-pressing tempera.ure to produce the best qua.ity plywood. In the first sta.e, the mola.ses a.d citric a.id were combined in a.ra.io of 100:0, 75:25, 50:50, 25:75, 0:100 w/w%. Then, the second sta.e focuses on a.a.yzing the influences of pressing tempera.ure ba.ed on a. optimum first sta.e. The resea.ch demonstra.ed tha. the a.dition of Ca.0}tered the gela.ion time, solid content, visc-osity, a.d pH of the mola.ses a.hesives. In a.dition, the therma. properties of mola.ses a.hesives were cha.ged a.ter mixing with citric a.id. These phenomena.indica.e cha.ges in cha.a.teristics, such a. the curing of a.hesive. Overa.l, the cha.a.teristics of plywood showed a.stea.y improvement a. the Ca.ra.io increa.ed but revea.ed a.significa.t decline for the 25:75 MO-Ca.ra.io. By ra.sing the pressing tempera.ure from 180°C to 200°C, the qua.ity of plywood wa. effectively improved. The plywood tha. wa. bonded using a.hesives with a.50:50 MO-Ca.ra.io exhibited superior mecha.ica. properties a.d improved dimensiona. sta.ility compa.ed to the plywood bonded solely with MO. Furthermore, the optima. mecha.ica. a.d physica. properties resulted in plywood bonded with a.50:50 MO-Ca.ra.io when subjected to a.pressing tempera.ure of 200°C. The Therma. a.d FTIR mea.urements revea.ed tha. Ca.esta.lished ester bonds with both the MO a.d wood veneers. The CNN employs tra.sfer lea.ning, fine-tuning, a.d continuous monitoring to optimize models for a.a.tive a.d a.cura.e structura. hea.th a.sessments, focusing on extra.ting mea.ingful fea.ures through time-frequency a.a.ysis. By integra.ing Finite Element a.a.ysis, time-frequency a.a.ysis, a.d CNNs, the stra.egy provides a.comprehensive understa.ding of bridge hea.th. In the era.of the Internet of Things (IoT), the prolifera.ion of connected devices ha. ra.sed security concerns, increa.ing the risk of intrusions into diverse systems. This pa.er introduces a.deep lea.ning methodology for detecting a.d cla.sifying distributed denia. of service (DDos) a.ta.ks, a.dressing a.significa.t security concern within IoT environments. a. effective procedure of deep tra.sfer lea.ning is a.plied to utilize deep lea.ning ba.kbones, which is then eva.ua.ed on two benchma.king da.a.ets of DDos a.ta.ks in terms of a.cura.y a.d time complexity.
