Tribological behavior of lubricant-impregnated porous polyimide

Porous materials impregnated with lubricants can be used in conditions where limited lubricant is *** this work,three porous polyimides(PPI)with different densities were ***(PAO)impregnated PPI(iPPI)discs were rubbed against steel and sapphire *** operando observations of the iPPI-sapphire contacts show that oil is released under an applied load,forming a meniscus around *** at the outlet is created at high sliding *** amount of released oil increases with increasing PPI *** moduli,E*,estimated based on the actual contact size show that trapped oil in iPPIs contributes to load *** higher speeds,tribological rehydration of the contact occurs in low density iPPI,with that E*rises with *** high density PPIs,high speeds give a constantly high E*which is limited by the viscoelastic properties of the PPI network and possibly the rate of oil *** of iPPI-steel contacts is governed by the mechanical properties of the PPI,the flow of the lubricant,and the roughness of the PPI *** low-and medium-density(highly porous,high roughness)PPIs,large amount of oil is released,and lubrication is mainly via lubricant restricted in the contact in the pores and possibly tribological *** high density(low porosity)PPI,with lower roughness,hydrodynamic lubrication is achieved which gives the lowest *** results show that polymeric porous materials for effective lubrication require the optimization of its surface roughness,stiffness,oil flow,and oil retentions.

Accuracy comparison and improvement for state of health estimation of lithium-ion battery based on random partial recharges and feature engineering

state of health(sOH)estimation of e-mobilities operated in real and dynamic conditions is essential and *** of existing estimations are based on a fixed constant current charging and discharging aging profiles,which overlooked the fact that the charging and discharging profiles are random and not complete in real *** work investigates the influence of feature engineering on the accuracy of different machine learning(ML)-based sOH estimations acting on different recharging sub-profiles where a realistic battery mission profile is *** features were extracted from the battery partial recharging profiles,considering different factors such as starting voltage values,charge amount,and charging sliding ***,features were selected based on a feature selection pipeline consisting of filtering and supervised ML-based subset *** linear regression(MLR),Gaussian process regression(GPR),and support vector regression(sVR)were applied to estimate sOH,and root mean square error(RMsE)was used to evaluate and compare the estimation *** results showed that the feature selection pipeline can improve sOH estimation accuracy by 55.05%,2.57%,and 2.82.for MLR,GPR and sVR *** was demonstrated that the estimation based on partial charging profiles with lower starting voltage,large charge,and large sliding window size is more likely to achieve higher *** work hopes to give some insights into the supervised ML-based feature engineering acting on random partial recharges on sOH estimation performance and tries to fill the gap of effective sOH estimation between theoretical study and real dynamic application.

Carbon allocation in Picea jezoensis:Adaptation strategies of a non-treeline species at its upper elevation limit

Understanding the physiological adaptations of non-treeline trees to environmental stress is important to understand future shifts in species composition and distribution of current treeline *** aim of the present study was to elucidate the mechanisms of the formation of the upper elevation limit of non-treeline tree species,Picea jezoensis,and the carbon allocation strategies of the species on Changbai *** employed the^(13)C in situ pulse labeling technique to trace the distribution of photosynthetically assimilated carbon in Picea jezoensis at different elevational positions(tree species at its upper elevation limit(TsAUE,1,700 m a.s.l.)under treeline ecotone;tree species at a lower elevation position(TsALE,1,400 m a.s.l.).We analyzed^(13)C and the non-structural carbohydrate(NsC)concentrations in various tissues following *** findings revealed a significant shift in carbon allocation in TsAUE compared to *** was a pronounced increase inδ^(13)C allocation to belowground components(roots,soil,soil respiration)in TsAUE compared to ***,the C flow rate within the plant-soil-atmosphere system was faster,and the C residence time in the plant was shorter in *** trends indicate enhanced C sink activity in belowground tissues in TsAUE,with newly assimilated C being preferentially directed there,suggesting a more conservative C allocation strategy by *** at higher elevations under harsher *** a strategy,prioritizing C storage in roots,likely aids in withstanding winter cold stress at the expense of aboveground growth during the growing season,leading to reduced growth of TsAUE compared to *** results of the present study shed light on the adaptive mechanisms governing the upper elevation limits of non-treeline trees,and enhances our understanding of how non-treeline species might respond to ongoing climate change.

Research on Defect Detection ofWind Turbine Blades Based onMorphology and Improved Otsu Algorithm Using Infrared Images

To address the issues of low accuracy and high false positive rate in traditional Otsu algorithm for defect detection on infrared images of wind turbine blades (WTB), this paper proposes a technique that combines morphological image enhancement with an improved Otsu algorithm. First, mathematical morphology's differential multi-scale white and black top-hat operations are applied to enhance the image. The algorithm employs entropy as the objective function to guide the iteration process of image enhancement, selecting appropriate structural element scales to execute differential multi-scale white and black top-hat transformations, effectively enhancing the detail features of defect regions and improving the contrast between defects and background. Afterwards, grayscale inversion is performed on the enhanced infrared defect image to better adapt to the improved Otsu algorithm. Finally, by introducing a parameter K to adjust the calculation of inter-class variance in theOtsumethod, theweight of the target pixels is increased. Combined with the adaptive iterative threshold algorithm, the threshold selection process is further fine-tuned. Experimental results show that compared to traditional Otsu algorithms and other improvements, the proposed method has significant advantages in terms of defect detection accuracy and reducing false positive rates. The average defect detection rate approaches 1, and the average Hausdorff distance decreases to 0.82., indicating strong robustness and accuracy of the method. © 2.2. The Authors.

An edge Lyman-alpha-based beam emission spectroscopy(LyBEs)diagnostic,using a heating NBI(neutral beam injection)system,is currently under development on the HL-2. *** 2.-channel edge LyBEs,which is intended to measure the density fluctuation in plasma edge(from R=1960 mm to R=2.2. mm)with an improved spatial resolution of 3.3 mm,is a complement to the existing conventional beam emission spectroscopy(BEs)*** this article,we introduce the progress of LyBEs diagnostic,including the collection optics,the monochromator,and the detector *** reflectance of the collection mirrors is measured to be~82.at 12. nm,and the aberration geometrical radius of the collection optics is tested to be~150μm in the aimed *** linear dispersion of the LyBEs monochromator is designed to be~0.09 nm mm^(-1).The bandwidth of the detector system with the 5×10^(7)V A^(-1)preamplifier gain is measured to be~2.0 kHz,and the peak-to-peak noise of the detector system is tested to be~16 *** finalized design,components development and testing of the LyBEs diagnostic have been completed at present,and an overall performance of the LyBEs diagnostic is to be confirmed in the next HL-2. campaign.

TGAIN: Geospatial Data Recovery Algorithm Based on GAIN-LsTM

Accurate geospatial data are essential for geographic information systems (GIs), environmental monitoring, and urban planning. The deep integration of the open Internet and geographic information technology has led to increasing challenges in the integrity and security of spatial data. In this paper, we consider abnormal spatial data as missing data and focus on abnormal spatial data recovery. Existing geospatial data recovery methods require complete datasets for training, resulting in time-consuming data recovery and lack of generalization. To address these issues, we propose a GAIN-LsTM-based geospatial data recovery method (TGAIN), which consists of two main works: (1) it uses a long-short-term recurrent neural network (LsTM) as a generator to analyze geospatial temporal data and capture its temporal correlation; (2. it constructs a complete TGAIN network using a cue-masked fusion matrix mechanism to obtain data that matches the original distribution of the input data. The experimental results on two publicly accessible datasets demonstrate that our proposed TGAIN approach surpasses four contemporary and traditional models in terms of mean absolute error (MAE), root mean square error (RMsE), mean square error (MsE), mean absolute percentage error (MAPE), coefficient of determination (R2. and average computational time across various data missing rates. Concurrently, TGAIN exhibits superior accuracy and robustness in data recovery compared to existing models, especially when dealing with a high rate of missing data. Our model is of great significance in improving the integrity of geospatial data and provides data support for practical applications such as urban traffic optimization prediction and personal mobility analysis. © 2.2. Hypoxic and temporal variation in the endocrine disrupting toxicity of perfluorobutanesulfonate in marine medaka(Oryzias melastigma)

Perfluorobutanesulfonate(PFBs)is an emerging pollutant capable of potently disrupting the sex and thyroid endocrine systems of ***,the hypoxic and temporal variation in PFBs endocrine disrupting toxicity remain largely *** the present study,adult marine medaka were exposed to environmentally realistic concentrations of PFBs(0 and 10μg/L)under normoxia or hypoxia conditions for 7 days,aiming to explore the interactive behavior between PFBs and *** addition,PFBs singular exposure was extended till 2.days under normoxia to elucidate the time-course progression in PFBs *** results showed that hypoxia inhibited the growth and caused the suspension of egg spawn regardless of PFBs *** regard to the sex endocrine system,7-day PFBs exposure led to an acute stimulation of transcriptional profiles in females,which,subsequently,recovered after the 2.-day *** potency of hypoxia to disturb the sex hormones was much stronger than PFBs.A remarkable increase in estradiol concentration was noted in medaka blood after hypoxia *** in sex endocrinology of coexposed fish were largely determined by hypoxia,which drove the formation of an estrogenic *** further enhanced the endocrine disrupting effects of ***,the hepatic synthesis of vitellogenin and choriogenin,two commonly used sensitive biomarkers of estrogenic activity,failed to initiate in response to the estrogen *** to sex endocrine system,disturbances in thyroidal axis by PFBs or hypoxia were relatively ***,the present findings will advance our toxicological understanding about PFBs pollutant under the interference of hypoxia.

In order to solve the contradiction between the rapidly growing energy demand and the excessive exploitation of fossil fuels,it is urgent to research and develops more environmentally friendly and efficient energy storage ***,the development of high-performance cathode materials to enhance the energy density of sIB is currently one of the most important topics of scientific *** high-voltage and low-cost cathode material for sIBs,a composite of carbon-coated Na_(4)MnCr(PO_(4))_(3)(NAsICON-type),polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP),and modified carbon nanotubes(CNTs)is prepared by sol-gel and freeze-drying *** to the high conductivity of CNTs,the conductivity of the composite is significantly improved,and its initial capacity is increased to 114 mAh/g at 0.5 C and 96 mAh/g at 5 C(Mn^(2.)/Mn^(4+)conversion for voltage windows 1.4-4.3 V).Moreover,the multi-electrons transfer of Cr^(3+)/Cr^(4+) and Mn^(2.)/Mn^(4+) can provide a high capacity of 165 mAh/g at 0.1 C and 102.mAh/g at 5 C in the high voltage window of 1.4-4.6 ***,PVP can effectively inhibit the Jahn-Teller effect caused by Mn ion,making the composite have more excellent high-rate performance and *** addition,GITT,EIs and CV curves were drawn to better reveal the excellent kinetic properties of Na_(4)MnCr(PO_(4))_(3)@C@PVP@CNT cathode,and the mechanism of its performance improvement is deeply studied and ***,the co-doping of CNTs and PVP is a simple way to high conductivity and fast charging of cathode materials for sIBs.
