During this decade,many countries have experienced natural and accidental disasters,such as typhoons,floods,earthquakes,and nuclear plant accidents,causing catastrophic damage to infrastructures.Since the end of 2019,all countries of the world are struggling with the COVID-19 and pursuing countermeasures,including inoculation of vaccine,and changes in our lifestyle and social structures.All these experiences have made the residents in the affected regions keenly aware of the need for new infrastructures that are resilient and autonomous,so that vital lifelines are secured during calamities.A paradigm shift has been taking place toward reorganizing the energy social service management in many countries,including Japan,by effective use of sustainable energy and new supply schemes.However,such new power sources and supply schemes would affect the power grid through intermittency of power output and the deterioration of power quality and service.Therefore,new social infrastructures and novel management systems to supply energy and social service will be required.In this paper,user-friendly design,operation and control assist tools for resilient microgrids and autonomous communities are proposed and applied to the standard microgrid to verify its effectiveness and performance.

When the wind speed changes significantly in a permanent magnet synchronous wind power generation system,the maximum power point cannot be easily determined in a timely manner.This study proposes a maximum power reference signal search method based on fuzzy control,which is an improvement to the climbing search method.A neural network-based parameter regulator is proposed to address external wind speed fluctuations,where the parameters of a proportional-integral controller is adjusted to accurately monitor the maximum power point under different wind speed conditions.Finally,the effectiveness of this method is verified via Simulink simulation.

1.The community with a shared future for humankind is the community of the earth’s biosphere The civilization and culture that human beings have created thus far,the economy,society and ideas,the nation,and religion,will vanish if human beings perish.Recent developments in astrophysics have been remarkable,and observations have been made from telescopes with incredible accuracy and range at great expense.Although extraterrestrial exploration has reached celestial bodies far away,the existence of“life”is yet to be discovered beyond Earth.Experiments aimed at establishing an earthly“artificial biosphere”on Mars have been unsuccessful.

Various kinds of new engineering technologies have been studied to realize the low-carbon and sustainable power supply systems all over the world.In actual implementation of these technologies,mostly,there are multiple objectives with trade off relationships among each other,and also various constraints in the achievement of these objectives.Therefore,it should be essential to solve multiobjective optimization problems effectively in the applications of these new technologies in power systems.This paper proposes an improved method to realize multiobjective optimization for critical challenges in advanced power systems.To realize that,in an optimal dispersed generation installation problem,that is,one of effective measures for low-carbon power systems,various optimization methods and their combination methods are evaluated and a hybrid method for evolutionary algorithms was developed.The method can provide improved results compared with other state-of-the-art multi-objective optimization methods.

With integration of renewable energy and use of non-linear loads in power systems,the power quality problem is increasingly attracting attention of researchers.In China,standards for individual power quality indexes are set.However,when evaluating power quality in practice,individual indexes cannot directly reflect a comprehensive level of power quality.In this paper,a comprehensive analysis of various indexes is conducted to obtain a unified parameter for describing the characteristics of power quality from an overall perspective.First,weight values of power quality indexes are calculated by combining the subjective and objective weight.Then,based on the principal components of the projection method,projection values of boundary data and data to be evaluated are obtained.Finally,using these projection values,a grade range for power quality data is located.A practical case study is presented to show the validity of the proposed method for evaluating power quality.

In 2011, a large scale earthquake and tsunami hit the northeastern coast of Japan, and nuclear plants were damaged to a large extent. Before the Tsunami, 54 nuclear plants were operated, however presently, only three nuclear plants are in operation. Therefore, Japan is suffering from high price of electricity and low supply reliability. In generation mix, nuclear plants generate only one percent and 87 percent of electricity is generated by fossil energy. This is not preferable for Japan from the viewpoints of energy security and stable electricity supply. Therefore, it is mandatory to increase sustainable energy and to decrease consumption of fossil fuel. International grid connection and the Global Energy Interconnection will be one of countermeasures against these problems existing in Japan. In this paper, international grid connection initiatives proposed in Asia are described and features and issues of electric power grids in Japan are discussed to implement the international grid connection. As the key technology for implementing the international grid connection, the present status of DC superconducting power transmission lines and power converters for long-distance power transmission lines are presented. In conclusion, conditions and legal frameworks for realizing the international grid connection are described.

光伏、风电等可再生能源的大规模接入给电力系统的运行带来了诸多问题,如由发电过剩引起的电网反向潮流、电网频率和节点电压调节容量的不足。作为解决可再生能源出力波动性引起的不确定性问题的方法之一,采用电动汽车作为储能装置,即所谓的V2H(vehicle to house)或者V2G(vehicle to grid),将发挥重要作用,因此有必要建立电动汽车应用评估方法。以配有光伏发电装置和一辆电动汽车的某智能家居为例,定量评估了电动汽车电池充放电对光伏发电输出功率的家庭内部使用比例、家庭用电成本和CO2排放量的影响。分析结果表明,通过光伏发电装置和电功汽车电池的有效配合使用,可以减少反向潮流和CO2排放。最后,通过仿真分析论证了多辆电动汽车对含有多栋智能家居的智能化小区能量管理的贡献。

One problem with a single source three-level inverter is the drafting of its neutral-point voltage. This may occur during transition or when unbalanced loads are connected to the inverter system. Wiation of neutral-point voltage may greatly deteriorate the power quality. In this paper, we employ an equivalent-input-disturbance approach to deal with this problem. By adding an extra neutral leg, the control problem of neutral-point voltage is converted to a disturbance rejection problem. This method suppresses the variation of the neutral-point voltage to a low level and reduces the capacity of DC-link capacitors. Simulation results show the effectiveness of the method.

A Series of Soluble Planar Oligorylenes up to Hexarylene

Energy management systems(EMSs) for electricity consumers which manage energy consumption and control some energy consuming equipment in consumer side are expected to be one of effective measures for optimized energy supply and utilization. On the other hand, it is difficult to clarify the benefit of EMS installation, because EMS does not reduce energy consumption only with its installation but improvement or optimization of energy usage in consumer side should be necessary. In addition, whereas advantages of EMS installation such as energy cost and CO2 emission reduction have been considered, negative(trade-off) factors of energy saving have not been discussed enough. This paper proposes a benefit evaluation approach of EMS and the EMS installation impact on enterprise productivity is considered. Also, simulations using Monte Carlo method are conducted and their results are discussed and evaluated.

Preparation of large rylenes often needs the use of solubilizing groups along the rylene backbone,which results in the distortion of the skeleton and thus broadening of the absorption spectrum.In this work,we successfully synthesized 2,5,8,16,19,22-hexakis[2,6-bis(tri-fluoromethyl)phenyl]hexarylene(H)by using an oxidative fusion reaction of perylene trimer in 5%yield.The product is soluble in common organic solvents and could be purified with column chromatography.Single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis revealed that the hexarylene core is not disturbed by the substituents very much and is almost planar.The longest absorption of H exhibits a sharp peak at 831 nm and an on-set at 875 nm in toluene with a small full-width-at-half-maximum(FWHM)of 660 cm^(-1).The molar extinction coefficient is as large as 131,000 M^(-1)cm^(-1).The substituents could not perturb the electronic properties of the hexarylene because aryl groups are perpendicular to the hexarylene core and the carbon atoms at 2,5,16,19-positions have negligible coeffi-cients on its HOMO and LUMO,estimated by theoretical calculations.As a result,the hexarylene having less absorption at the visible light region was stable enough in solution under the LED room light for more than 1 week.This strategy gives a useful guideline to establish the near-infrared materials that exhibit stability under ambient conditions.
