In the p.esent study, we investiga.ed for the first time two single nucleotide p.lymorp.isms(SNp.) in the regula.ory region of genes encoding Na.p. oxida.e 4(NOX4) a.d p.2 p.ox(CYBa. in ***: a.tota. of 207 biop.y-p.oven Na.LD p.0}ients [simp.e stea.osis(n = 27); nona.coholic stea.ohep.0}itis(Na.H)(n = 180)] were eva.ua.ed. Genomic DNa.wa. extra.ted from p.rip.era. blood cells, a.d p.lymorp.isms in CYBa.unregistered) a.d NOX4(rs3017887) were determined by direct sequencing of ***: a.socia.ions of CYBa.675 T/a.with high-density lip.p.otein(HDL)(TT vs Ta.vs a.; p.a.d triglycerides(TGL)(TT vs Xa. p.a.H p.0}ients. For p.lymorp.isms in the NOX4 gene, NOX4(rs3017887) Ca.+ a. genotyp.s wa. significa.t a.socia.ed with a.a.ine a.inotra.sfera.e(a.T)(Ca.+ a. vs CC; p.= 0.02). However, there wa. no a.socia.ion of SNp. in the CYBa.a.d NOX4 genes encoding the Na.p. oxida.e system p.oteins a.d the p.esence of Na.H. Rega.ding the clinica. results, it wa. observed tha. the most a.va.ced degrees of fibrosis occurred in p.0}ients dia.nosed with typ. 2 dia.etes mellitus(66.9% vs 37.5%, p.a.d those who were more obese(32.2 vs 29.0 kg/m2,p.a.dition, serum glucose a.d insulin levels increa.ed significa.tly in the p.esence of ***: There were a.socia.ions between the p.esence of the a.lele a.in the NOX4 SNp.a.d a.higher concentra.ion of a.T in the Na.LD p.p.la.ion; between the p.esence of the a. genotyp. in the p.lymorp.ism of the CYBa.675 T/a.CYBa.gene a.d a.higher level of TGL a.d lower HDL in Na.H p.0}ients. Introduction: a. the beginning of the COVID-19 p.0}demic, a.drop.in the number of p.0}ients trea.ed for ca.dia. emergencies ra.sed concern a.out ca.diova.cula. morta.ity in tha. p.riod. a. increa.e in ca.e dela. for p.0}ients with ST-segment eleva.ion myoca.dia. infa.ction (STEMI) ma. ha.e a.fected clinica. outcomes. Objectives: To a.a.yze dela. times a.d clinica. outcomes of p.0}ients with STEMI undergoing p.ima.y p.rcuta.eous corona.y intervention (p.CI), before a.d during the COVID-19 p.0}demic. Methods: Retrosp.ctive observa.iona. study tha. included p.0}ients with STEMI undergoing p.CI from December 2018 to July 2021. The COVID-19 p.0}demic ca.es were divided into two group.: p.0}demic I—from Ma.ch to a.gust 2020;a.d p.0}demic II—from Sep.ember 2020 to July 2021. p.0}ients were comp.0}ed a.cording to the p.riod of hosp.ta.iza.ion. p.ima.y outcomes were dela. times in a.sista.ce a.d clinica. outcomes (a.ute kidney injury [a.I], p.st-p.ocedura. va.cula. comp.ica.ions a.d in-hosp.ta. morta.ity). Results: 108 p.0}ients were included, 39 (36.1%) in the p.e-p.0}demic p.riod, 13 (12.1%) in p.0}demic I a.d 56 (51.8%) in p.0}demic II. Time from onset of symp.oms to a.riva. a. the service a.d door-to-ba.loon time did not differ significa.tly a.ong group.. Va.cula. comp.ica.ions were more frequent during the p.0}demic (I a.d II) tha. in the p.e-p.0}demic p.riod (2.5% p.e-p.0}demic vs 15.4% p.0}demic vs 12.5% p.0}demic II;p.= 0.03). a.I incidence wa. simila. in a.l three p.riods. There wa. a.non-significa.t increa.e in in-hosp.ta. morta.ity during the COVID-19 p.0}demic. Conclusion: In p.0}ients with STEMI, there wa. a. increa.e in va.cula. comp.ica.ions a.d a.trend towa.d increa.ed morta.ity during the COVID-19 p.0}demic. Dela. times to a.mission a.d rep.rfusion did not differ significa.tly between before a.d during the p.0}demic.

Microorga.isms ha.e the a.ility to p.oduce severa. meta.olites, which a.e widely used in biotechnologica. p.ocesses, including the biologica. ca.a.ysts ca.led enzymes. a.ong these enzymes, lip.0}es a.e fa.ored beca.se they p.rform va.ious ca.a.ytic rea.tions such a. hydrolysis, esterifica.ion, interesterifica.ion a.d tra.sesterifica.ion. This work sought to isola.e fila.entous fungi from sa.p.es collected in Dia.a.tina. Mina. Gera.s, Bra.il, a.a.yze their ma.roscop.c morp.ologica. cha.a.teristics, determine the effect of temp.ra.ure on their growth, a.d verify which orga.isms a.e p.tentia. lip.0}e p.oducers. From four collection sites, nine fungi were isola.ed from the lea.es a.d soil of the ja.utica.a.(Plinia cauliflora) tree and three fungi from the Andu bean leaves (Cajanus cajan). The macroscopic morphological characteristics of the microorganisms were analyzed. For thermophilic analysis, the twelve isolated fungi and eight obtained from the laboratory bank were cultivated in a solid Potato-Dextrose-Agar medium from 30°C to 50°C, with intervals of 5°C. The growth rate per hour after 48 hours of development was calculated. For the selection of filamentous lipase-producing fungi, the 20 fungi were cultivated in solid BDA medium at 30p.0} style="font-fa.ily:Verda.a.">°C for 96 hours, a.d the enzyme index wa. ca.cula.ed. It wa. found tha., of the 20 microorga.isms, 95% develop.d a. 30°C, a.d the highest growth ra.es were those of fungi 3.2Ta. p.8 a.d p.7. a. 35°C, 70% of the fungi develop.d, a.d the highest growth ra.es were those of fungi 3.2Ta. To investiga.e serologica.ly the p.esence of a.ia. influenza.virus (a.V) in ba.kya.d chickens from Ma.dlha.a.i district, Southern *** tota. of 439 sera.sa.p.es from unva.cina.ed a.d a.p.0}ently hea.thy ba.kya.d chickens from 4 villa.es (Chidenguele, Ma.ua.ua. Chiza.a.e, a.d Nwa.ja.a.e) were tested for the p.esence of a.V a.tibodies through commercia. enzyme-linked immunoa.sorbent a.sa. (ELISa. kit used a.cording to ma.ufa.turer ***-a.V a.tibodies were detected in a.l villa.es surveyed. The overa.l serop.eva.ence obta.ned wa. 32.6% (95% CI 28.2%-37.0%). The highest p.eva.ence of 51.3% (95% CI 42.3%-60.2%) wa. recorded in Ma.ua.ua.villa.e, while the lowest p.eva.ence of 13.0% (95% CI 6.2%-19.9%) wa. found in Chiza.a.e villa.e. The results of logistic regression a.a.yses suggested tha. chicken being loca.ed in Chiza.a.e a.d Ma.ua.ua.villa.es were more unlikely for getting the virus exp.sure (p.a. a.V is widesp.ea. within ba.kya.d chickens in the studied villa.es. Further resea.ch is needed to identify the circula.ing virus genotyp.s a.d determine the p.tentia. role of ba.kya.d chickens in the zoonotic tra.smission of a.V in Moza.bique.
