A Linear Approach for Depth and Colour Camera Calibration Using Hybrid Parameters

Many recent applications of computer graphics and human computer interaction have adopted both colour cameras and depth cameras as input devices. Therefore, an effective calibration of both types of hardware taking different colour and depth inputs is required. Our approach removes the numerical difficulties of using non-linear optimization in previous methods which explicitly resolve camera intrinsics as well as the transformation between depth and colour cameras. A matrix of hybrid parameters is introduced to linearize our optimization. The hybrid parameters offer a transformation from a depth parametric space （depth camera image） to a colour parametric space （colour camera image） by combining the intrinsic parameters of depth camera and a rotation transformation from depth camera to colour camera. Both the rotation transformation and intrinsic parameters can be explicitly calculated from our hybrid parameters with the help of a standard QR factorisation. We test our algorithm with both synthesized data and real-world data where ground-truth depth information is captured by Microsoft Kinect. The experiments show that our approach can provide comparable accuracy of calibration with the state-of-the-art algorithms while taking much less computation time （1/50 of Herrera＇s method and 1/10 of Raposo＇s method） due to the advantage of using hybrid parameters.

We present a novel algorithm BADF(Bounding Volume Hierarchy Based Adaptive Distance Fields)for accelerating the construction of ADFs(adaptive distance fields)of rigid and deformable models on graphics processing *** approach is based on constructing a bounding volume hierarchy(BVH)and we use that hierarchy to generate an octree-based *** exploit the coherence between successive frames and sort the grid points of the octree to accelerate the *** approach is applicable to rigid and deformable *** GPU-based(graphics processing unit based)algorithm is about 20x--50x faster than current mainstream central processing unit based *** BADF algorithm can construct the distance fields for deformable models with 60k triangles at interactive rates on an NVIDIA GTX GeForce ***,we observe 3x speedup over prior GPU-based ADF algorithms.

Recent studies on tropical cyclone(TC)intensity change indicate that the development of a vertically aligned TC circulation is a key feature of its rapid intensification(RI),however,understanding how vortex alignment occurs remains a challenging topic in TC intensity change *** on the simulation outputs of North Atlantic Hurricane Wilma(2005)and western North Pacific Typhoon Rammasun(2014),vortex track oscillations at different vertical levels and their associated role in vortex alignment are examined to improve our understanding of the vortex alignment during RI of TCs with initial hurricane *** is found that vortex tracks at different vertical levels oscillate consistently in speed and direction during the RI of the two simulated *** the consistent track oscillation reduces the oscillation tilt during RI,the reduction of vortex tilt results mainly from the mean track before *** is also found that the vortex tilt is primarily due to the mean vortex track before and after *** track oscillations are closely associated with wavenumber-1 vortex Rossby waves that are dominant wavenumber-1 circulations in the TC inner-core *** study suggests that the dynamics of the wavenumber-1 vortex Rossby waves play an important role in the regulation of the physical processes associated with the track oscillation and vertical alignment of TCs.

Currently, a decision tree is the most commonly used data mining algorithm for classification tasks. While a significant number of studies have investigated privacy-preserving decision trees, the methods proposed in these studies often have shortcomings in terms of data privacy breach or efficiency. Additionally,these methods typically only apply to symmetric frameworks, which consist of two or more parties with equal privilege, and are not suitable for asymmetric scenarios where parties have unequal privilege. In this paper,we propose SecureCART, a three-party privacy-preserving decision tree training scheme with a privileged party. We adopt the existing pMPL framework and design novel secure interactive protocols for division,comparison, and asymmetric multiplication. Compared to similar schemes, our division protocol is 93.5–560.4× faster, with the communication overhead reduced by over 90%; further, our multiplication protocol is approximately 1.5× faster, with the communication overhead reduced by around 20%. Our comparison protocol based on function secret sharing maintains good performance when adapted to pMPL. Based on the proposed secure protocols, we implement SecureCART in C++ and analyze its performance using three real-world datasets in both LAN and WAN environments. he experimental results indicate that SecureCART is significantly faster than similar schemes proposed in past studies, and that the loss of accuracy while using SecureCART remains within an acceptable range.

Currently,rotary drilling is one of the main pieces of equipment used for in-situ remediation of contaminated ***,this equipment has problems such as uneven mixing and low utilization efficiency,which affect the efficiency of in-situ soil *** improve the efficiency of in-situ soil remediation,this paper takes contaminated black soil as the research object,and the structural design of the new three-stage soil remediation auger is carried out based on *** mixing process of soil and heavy metal passivator under different motion and structural parameters was investigated by the discrete element method(DEM)and response surface *** experimental design was based on rotational speed,homogenizing mixing time,crushing section pitch,and homogenizing section pitch as factors,and soil fragmentation ratio,the coefficient of dispersion,and torque as optimization *** kinematic and structural parameters of the three-stage auger drill bit were then optimized using the one-factor method,the orthogonal test,and the response surface methodology,*** test method uses a one-way test to determine the central level value of the orthogonal test and a comprehensive balance method to determine the best combination of parameters for the orthogonal test,which is then used as the central value of the response surface test for parameter *** optimal combinations of kinematic and structural parameters of the three-stage auger drill bit are determined and validated using response surface *** optimum combination of parameters was found to be a speed of 129 rpm,a homogenizing mixing time of 24 s,a pitch of 165 mm in the crushing section,and a pitch of 132 mm in the homogenizing *** error between the optimal value of the predicted model using the response surface method and the actual simulated value under the optimal parameters is 4.2%,4.9%,and 5.3%,*** optimized factor parameters provide a refe
