Early diagnosis and bioimaging of lung adenocarcinoma cells/organs based on spectroscopy machine learning

Early diagnosis and fast detection with a high accuracy rate of lung cancer are important to improve the treatment effect.In this research,an early fast diagnosis and in vivo imaging method for lung adenocarcinoma are proposed by collecting the spectral data from normal and patients'cells/tissues,such as Fourier infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),UV-vis absorbance,and fluorescence spectra using anthocyanin.The FTIR spectra of human normal lung epithelial cells(BEAS-2B cells)and human lung adenocarcinoma cells(A549 cells)were collected.After the data is cleaned,a feature selection algorithm is used to select important wavelengths,and then,the classification models of support vector machine(SVM)and the grid search method are used to select the optimal model parameters(accuracy:96.89%on the training set and 88.57%on the test set).The optimal model is used to classify all samples,and the accuracy is 94.37%.Moreover,the anthocyanin was prepared and used for the intracellular absorbance and fluorescence,and the optimized algorithm was used for classification(accuracy:91.38%on the training set and 80.77%on the test set).Most importantly,the in vivo cancer imaging can be performed using anthocyanin.The results show that there are differences between lung ade-nocarcinoma and normal lung tissues at the molecular level,reflecting the accuracy,intui-tiveness,and feasibility of this algorithm-assistant anthocyanin imaging in lung cancer diagnosis,thus showing the potential to become an accurate and effective technical means for basic research and clinical diagnosis.

Owing to the complex composition architecture of these solid solutions,some fundamental issues of the classical(1-x)(Bi_(1/2)Na_(1/2))TiO_(3) -x(Bi_(1/2)K_(1/2))TiO_(3)(BNT-xBKT)binary system,such as details of phase evolution and optimal Na/K ratio associated with the highest strain responses,remain unresolved.In this work,we systematically investigated the phase evolution of the BNT-xBKT binary solid solution with x ranging from 0.12 to 0.24 using not only routine X-ray diffraction and weak-signal dielectric characterization,but also temperature-dependent polarization versus electric field(P-E)and current versus electric field(I-E)curves.Our results indicate an optimal Na/K ratio of 81/19 based on high-field polarization and elec-trostrain characterizations.As the temperature increased above 100?C,the x¼0.19 composition pro-duces ultrahigh electrostrains(>0.5%)with high thermal stability.The ultrahigh and stable electrostrains were primarily due to the combined effect of electric-field-induced relaxor-to-ferroelectric phase tran-sition and ferroelectric-to-relaxor diffuse phase transition during heating.More specifically,we revealed the relationship between phase evolution and electrostrain responses based on the characteristic tem-peratures determined by both weak-field dielectric and high-field ferroelectric/electromechanical property characterizations.This work not only clarifies the phase evolution in BNT-xBKT binary solid solution,but also paves the way for future strain enhancement through doping strategies.

HPC-Atlas:Computationally Constructing A Comprehensive Atlas of Human Protein Complexes

A fundamental principle of biology is that proteins tend to form complexes to play important roles in the core functions of cells.For a complete understanding of human cellular functions,it is crucial to have a comprehensive atlas of human protein complexes.Unfortunately,we still lack such a comprehensive atlas of experimentally validated protein complexes,which prevents us from gaining a complete understanding of the compositions and functions of human protein complexes,as well as the underlying biological mechanisms.To fill this gap,we built Human Protein Complexes Atlas(HPC-Atlas),as far as we know,the most accurate and comprehensive atlas of human protein complexes available to date.We integrated two latest protein interaction networks,and developed a novel computational method to identify nearly 9000 protein complexes,including many previously uncharacterized complexes.Compared with the existing methods,our method achieved outstanding performance on both testing and independent datasets.Furthermore,with HPC-Atlas we identified 751 severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)-affected human protein complexes,and 456 multifunctional proteins that contain many potential moonlighting proteins.These results suggest that HPC-Atlas can serve as not only a computing framework to effectively identify biologically meaningful protein complexes by integrating multiple protein data sources,but also a valuable resource for exploring new biological findings.The HPCAtlas webserver is freely available at http://www.***.top/HPC-Atlas.

The global coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic is caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARSCoV-2),a positive-sense RNA virus.How the host immune system senses and responds to SARS-CoV-2 infection remain largely unresolved.Here,we report that SARS-CoV-2 infection activates the innate immune response through the cytosolic DNA sensing cGAS-STING pathway.SARS-CoV-2 infection induces the cellular level of 2′3′-cGAMP associated with STING activation.cGAS recognizes chromatin DNA shuttled from the nucleus as a result of cell-to-cell fusion upon SARS-CoV-2 infection.We further demonstrate that the expression of spike protein from SARS-CoV-2 and ACE2 from host cells is sufficient to trigger cytoplasmic chromatin upon cell fusion.Furthermore,cytoplasmic chromatin-cGAS-STING pathway,but not maVS-mediated viral RNA sensing pathway,contributes to interferon and pro-inflammatory gene expression upon cell fusion.Finally,we show that cGAS is required for host antiviral responses against SARS-CoV-2,and a STING-activating compound potently inhibits viral replication.Together,our study reported a previously unappreciated mechanism by which the host innate immune system responds to SARS-CoV-2 infection,mediated by cytoplasmic chromatin from the infected cells.Targeting the cytoplasmic chromatin-cGAS-STING pathway may offer novel therapeutic opportunities in treating COVID-19.In addition,these findings extend our knowledge in host defense against viral infection by showing that host cells’self-nucleic acids can be employed as a“danger signal”to alarm the immune system.

This article summarizes our studies on micro flow sensors fabricated on a flexible polyimide circuit board by a low-cost hybrid process of thin-film deposition and circuit printing. The micro flow sensor has merits of flexibility, structural simplicity, easy integrability with circuits, and good sensing performance. The sensor, which adheres to an object surface, can detect the surface flow around the object. In our study, we install the fabricated micro flow sensors on micro aerial vehicles （maVs） to detect the surface flow variation around the aircraft wing and deduce the aerodynamic parameters of the maVs in flight. Wind tunnel experiments using the sensors integrated with the maVs are also conducted.

目的观察持续性心房颤动(房颤)患者不同RR间期对超声心动图测量左室收缩功能的影响,评估基于相邻RR间期比值接近1之后紧接的单次心搏测定持续房颤患者左室收缩功能的准确性。方法对21例持续性房颤患者行超声心动图检查,每例患者分别存储至少连续10~20个心动周期的图像,测量不同RR间期时左室射血分数(LVEF)和每搏输出量(SV),分析不同RR间期对于超声心动图测定LVEF和SV的影响。以多个心动周期测定值的平均值为金标准,评估基于相邻RR间期比值接近1之后紧接的单次心搏测定持续房颤患者左室收缩功能的准确性。结果同一房颤患者在不同心动周期测得的LVEF和SV变异较大。LVEF和SV不仅与心率快慢有关,还与相邻RR间期(RR1)呈显著正相关(均r>0.4,均Pman分析显示两者一致性较好。结论房颤时左室收缩功能参数测定不仅与心率快慢有关,还受心律规整程度的影响。基于相邻RR间期比值接近1之后紧接的单次心搏测定持续房颤患者左室收缩功能,其准确性与传统多个心动周期测定值的平均值相当。

Dynamical features of near-inertial motions in global ocean based on the GDP dataset from 2000 to 2019

Based on the latest oceanic surface drifter dataset from the global drifter program during 2000–2019,this study investigated the global variation of relative frequency shift(RFS),near-inertial energy(NIE)and inverse excess bandwidth(IEB)of near-inertial motions,and analyzed their relations with oceanic mesoscale dynamics,relative vorticity and strain.Compared with previous works,we have some new findings in this study:(1)the RFS was high with negative values in some regions in which we found a significant blue shift of the RFS in the equatorward of 30°N(S)and from 50°N to 60°N in the Pacific,and a red shift in the western boundary currents and their extension regions,the North Atlantic and the Antarctic Circumpolar Current regions;(2)more peak values of the NIE were found in global regions like the South Indian Ocean,the Luzon Strait and some areas of the South Ocean;(3)the global distribution of the IEB were characterized by clear zonal bands and affected by vorticity and wind field;(4)the RFS was elevated as the absolute value of the gradient of vorticity increased,the IEB did not depend on the gradient of vorticity,and the eddy kinetic energy(EKE)weakened with the decrease of the absolute value of RFS;(5)the NIE decreased with increasing absolute value of the relative vorticity and the gradient of vorticity,but it increased with increasing strain and EKE when EKE was larger than 0.0032 m2/s2.

河南中原黄金冶炼厂采用卡尔多炉处理铜阳极泥,其产生的熔炼渣中含有金、银、硒、碲等稀贵金属,具有很高的回收价值。采用浮选工艺对熔炼渣进行富集回收,考察了磨矿细度、捕收剂、调整剂等因素对浮选指标的影响。结果表明:闭路试验可获得品位为金2 133. 51 g/t、银38 756. 18 g/t,回收率为金94. 54%、银86. 69%的混合精矿,同时硒、碲也得到一定程度的富集,试验结果为熔炼渣的回收利用提供了依据。
