Use of forestry waste as an alternative raw material for generating metallurgical coke

Forestry waste(FW)is a significant renewable energy source in *** substitution of coal blends(BC)with forestry waste to produce metallurgical coke was investigated aiming at expanding alternative resources and reducing CO_(2)emissions in ironmaking *** BC with different ratios of FW were carbonized in a fixed bed reactor,and the physicochemical structure of the coke derived from FW/BC co-carbonization was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,solid-state^(13)C nuclear magnetic resonance,optical microscopy,and scanning electron *** results reveal that the suitable incorporation of FW in BC is 10 wt.%,and the index of coke quality exhibits a good correlation with the optical anisotropy index and the aromaticity of the as-obtained *** partial substitution of BC with FW exhibits potential benefits for colloid formation,owing to the higher hydrogen in ***,as the substitution ratio of BC with FW increases,it inhibits coke agglomeration due to more tortuous stacked structures formation during volatile releasing ***,it was identified that the substitution of higher BC ratios with FW results in the partial replacement of aromatic carbons by oxygenlinked carbons and aliphatic *** substitution leads to a reduction in the aromaticity of the as-obtained coke.

Adaptive-basis decomposition-based low-rank network for efficient non-uniform motion deblurring

In this study,we present a unified sparsity-driven framework that significantly enhances motion deblurring performance by integrating two key components:a custom-designed dataset and a low-rank module(LRM).This framework leverages the inherent sparsity of per-pixel blur kernels to bolster both deblurring accuracy and model ***,we propose an adaptive-basis decomposition-based deblurring(ADD)approach,which constructs a tailored training dataset to enhance the generalization capacity of the deblurring *** ADD framework adaptively decomposes motion blur into sparse basis elements,effectively addressing the intricacies associated with non-uniform ***,an LRM is proposed to improve the interpretability of deblurring models as a plug-and-play module,primarily designed to identify and harness the intrinsic sparse features in sharp images.A series of ablation studies have been conducted to substantiate the synergistic advantages of combining the proposed ADD with the LRM for overall improvement in deblurring ***,we empirically demonstrate through rigorous experimentation that incorporating the LRM into an existing Uformer network leads to substantial enhancement in reconstruction *** integration yields a sparsity-guided low-rank network(SGLRN).Operating under the overarching principle of sparsity,SGLRN consistently outperforms state-of-the-art methods across multiple standard deblurring *** experimental results,assessed through quantitative metrics and qualitative visual evaluations,provide compelling evidence of its *** overall deblurring results are available at Google Drive.

Travelling characteristics of road vehicles on single-level rail-cum-road bridge under the dynamic and aerodynamic impact of travelling trains

Aerodynamic and dynamic interference from trains is a key issue of concern for the safety of road vehicles travelling on single-level rail-cum road *** on the wind-road vehicle-train-bridge(WRTB)coupled vibration system developed herein,this study examines the dynamic characteristics when road vehicles meet trains in this *** influence of load combination,vehicle type and vehicle location is analyzed.A method to obtain the aerodynamic load of road vehicles encountering the train at an arbitrary wind speed is *** results show that due to the windproof facilities and the large line distance between the railway and highway,the aerodynamic and dynamic influence of trains on road vehicles is slight,and the vibration of road vehicles depends on the road *** the road vehicles discussed,the bus is the easiest to rollover,and the truck-trailer is the easiest to *** with the aerodynamic impact of trains,the crosswind has a more significant influence on road *** first peak/valley value of aerodynamic loads determines the maximum dynamic response,and the quick method is optimized based on this *** cases show that the optimized method can produce conservative results and can be used for relevant research or engineering applications.

Combustion aerosols and suspended dust with controlled processes in Lhasa:Elemental analysis and size distribution characteristics

To explore air contamination resulting from special biomass combustion and suspended dust in Lhasa,the present study focused on the size distribution and chemical characteristics of particulate matter(PM)emission resulting from 7 types of non-fossil pollution *** investigated the concentration and size distribution of trace elements from 7 pollution sources collected in *** Lhasa’s atmospheric particulate matter data,enrichment factors(EFs)have been calculated to examine the potential impact of those pollution sources on the atmosphere quality of *** highest mass concentration of total elements of biomass combustion appeared at PM_(0.4),and the second highest concentration existed in the size fraction 0.4-1μm;the higher proportion(12%)of toxicmetals was produced by biomass *** elemental composition of suspended dust and atmospheric particulate matter was close(except for As and Cd);the highest concentration of elements was all noted in PM_(2.5-10)(PM3-10).Potassium was found to be one of the main biomass *** proportion of Cu in suspended dust is significantly lower than that of atmospheric particulate matter(0.53%and 3.75%),which indicates that there are other anthropogenic *** EFs analysis showed that the Cr,Cu,Zn,and Pb produced by biomass combustion were highly enriched(EFs>100)in all particle *** EFs of most trace elements increased with decreasing particle size,indicating the greater influence of humanfactors on smaller particles.

Zinc oxide(ZnO)serves as a crucial functional semiconductor with a wide direct bandgap of approximately 3.37 *** reaction is commonly used in the synthesis of ZnO micro/nanostructures,given its low cost,simplicity,and easy ***,ZnO morphology engineering has become desirable through the alteration of minor conditions in the reaction process,particularly at room *** this work,ZnO micro/nanostructures were synthesized in a solution by varying the amounts of the ammonia added at low temperatures(including room temperature).The formation of Zn^(2+)complexes by ammonia in the precursor regulated the reaction rate of the morphology engineering of ZnO,which resulted in various structures,such as nanoparticles,nanosheets,microflowers,and single ***,the obtained ZnO was used in the optoelectronic application of ultraviolet detectors.

Single-atom“surgery”on chiral all-dialkynyl-protected superatomic silver nanoclusters

The manipulation of single atom within the metallic kernel of nanoclusters has attracted considerable attention due to its potentials to elucidate kernel-based structure-property relationships at the single-atom ***,new-designed chiral bialkynyl ligands,have been chosen as protective agents to isolate two pairs of 8-electron superatomic silver nanoclusters,R/S-Ag39 and R/S-Ag40.X-ray diffraction analysis reveals that Ag39 and Ag40 with the same number of chiral ligands,possess a closely analogous silver skeleton but a single-atomic *** incorporation of an extra Ag40th atom into Ag40 evokes two significant changes of structure and property compared to Ag39:(i)a reduction in the symmetry of the entire nanocluster,resulting in an enhancement of kernel-related asymmetry g-factor;(ii)a regulation of the transitions(1P→1D and Ligand(π)→1D)of excited state,leading to a second near-infrared(NIR-II,1000-1700 nm)phosphorescent emission red-shift from 1088 to 1150 *** work not only provides vital insights into the relationship between structures and ground/excited states chiroptical activities at the single-atom level,but also presents bialkynyl as a promising stabilizing agent for building superatomic metal nanoclusters.

The influence of partitioned profiling design based on a large-pitch highly loaded cascade is studied by numerical *** partitioned profile is mainly composed of a pressure-side convex structure near the leading edge and a suction-side convex structure at the midstream and downstream sides of the *** influence of the change in the vertex axial position and peak value of the B-line on the secondary flow control is *** this paper,air(ideal gas)is selected as the flow *** average static pressure at the outlet and the average total temperature at the inlet are kept *** γ-θ is used as the turbulence *** results show that the pressure-side convex structure suppresses the spanwise and pitchwise migration of the inlet flow by adjusting the static pressure distribution of the flow field,so the development of the pressure-side leg of the horseshoe vortex is effectively *** suction-side convex structure adjusts the static pressure distribution of the flow field and increases the included angle between the cross-flow and suction surface,so the accumulation of low-momentum fluid,the development of a corner vortex and the flow separation at the trailing edge of the suction-side surface are all suppressed near the endwall-suction ***,the energy loss coefficient of the large-pitch highly loaded cascade is decreased from 0.0564 to 0.0485,representing a 25% reduction in secondary flow losses.

Eosinophilia and clonorchiasis presenting as fever of unknown origin in adult patients

Fever of unknown origin(FUO)is recognized as fever with uncertain diagnosis despite three days of hospital admission or three or more outpatient visits.[1]Acute liver fluke infection is characterized by fever,right upper quadrant pain,hepatomegaly,jaundice,and peripheral blood *** contrast,chronic liver fluke infection is asymptomatic in its early stage,but can easily progress to cirrhosis,cancer,or bile duct cancer *** diagnosis of clonorchiasis is particularly challenging in non-endemic *** herein report an unusual case of liver fluke infection in a patient who presented with FUO and eosinophilia.A 38-year-old male was admitted to our hospital with a history of intermittent and recurrent fever for over 10 d and a history of sudden abdominal pain for1 *** had no other medical *** than 10d ago,he visited our emergency department because of FUO,with his body temperature reaching 39.7℃,and he had no other symptoms at that *** and radiological examinations revealed:white blood cell(WBC)counts,10.9×10^(9)/L;neutrophil percentage,84.5%;eosinophil percentage,3.1%;C-reactive protein(CRP),141 mg/L;liver and kidney function,normal;influenza virus,negative;urine and stool tests,normal;and chest computed tomography(CT)findings,*** fever subsided after 1 week of anti-infective treatment with *** tests revealed the following results:WBC,15.0×10^(9)/L;neutrophil percentage,70.0%;eosinophil percentage,16.8%;and CRP,122 mg/*** antimicrobial treatment was then discontinued.
