Self-assembled core-shell polydopamine@MXene with synergistic solar absorption capability for highly efficient solar-to-vapor generation

As a renewable and environment-friendly technology for seawater desalination and wastewater purification,solar energy triggered steam generation is attractive to address the long-standing global water scarcity ***,practical utilization of solar energy for steam generation is severely restricted by the complex synthesis,low energy conversion efficiency,insufficient solar spectrum absorption and water extraction capability of state-of-the-art ***,for the first time,we report a facile strategy to realize hydrogen bond induced self-assembly of a polydopamine(PDA)@MXene microsphere photothermal layer for synergistically achieving wide-spectrum and highly efficient solar absorption capability(≈96%in a wide solar spectrum range of 250–1,500 nm wavelength).Moreover,such a system renders fast water transport and vapor escaping due to the intrinsically hydrophilic nature of both MXene and PDA,as well as the interspacing between core-shell *** solar-to-vapor conversion efficiencies under the solar illumination of 1 sun and 4 sun are as high as 85.2%and 93.6%,***,the PDA@MXene photothermal layer renders the system durable mechanical properties,allowing producing clean water from seawater with the salt rejection rate beyond 99%.Furthermore,stable light absorption performance can be achieved and well maintained due to the formation of ternary TiO2/C/MXene complex caused by oxidative degradation of ***,this work proposes an attractive MXene-assisted strategy for fabricating high performance photothermal composites for advanced solar-driven seawater desalination applications.

In this paper,the authors design a reinforcement learning algorithm to solve the adaptive linear-quadratic stochastic n-players non-zero sum differential game with completely unknown *** each player,a critic network is used to estimate the Q-function,and an actor network is used to estimate the control input.A model-free online Q-learning algorithm is obtained for solving this kind of *** is proved that under some mild conditions the system state and weight estimation errors can be uniformly ultimately bounded.A simulation with five players is given to verify the effectiveness of the algorithm.

Synthesis of granulated Li_(1.33)Mn_(1.67)O_(4) via two antisolvent methods for lithium adsorption from gas-produced water

Gas-produced water is an accompanying wastewater in the natural gas extraction process,and it is a potential liquid lithium resource that contains a considerable amount of *** study investigated the feasibility of using manganese-based ion sieves to adsorb and extract lithium from gas-produced *** we focused on the applicability of two different granulation methods,extrusion and droplet,in gas-produced water *** types of H_(1.33)Mn_(1.67)O_(4) particles were prepared by the extrusion method(EHMO)and the droplet method(DHMO).The porosity of DHMO was much higher than that of EHMO,and the adsorption performance of DHMO increased with the decrease of binder *** prepared with a binder concentration of 0.14 g·ml^(-1)exhibited the best adsorption performance in gas-produced water,and the Li^(+)adsorption capacity could reach 25.14 mg·g^(-1).In gas-produced water,the adsorption equilibrium of DHMO only took 9 h,and the adsorption process conformed to the Langmuir model and pseudo-second-order kinetic *** pore diffusion model(PDM)could well describe its adsorption ***,DHMO showed a great selectivity to Li^(+),and the selectivity order of DHMO in gas-produced water was Li^(+)>Ba^(2+)>>Mg^(2+),Ca^(2+),Sr^(2+)>>Na^(+)>>K^(+).After 20 cycles,the Li^(+)adsorption capacity was still higher than 17.30 mg·g^(-1),and the rate of manganese dissolution was less than 1%.

Attaining synergetic equilibrium of electrical conductivity and tensile strength in GQDs@GN/Cu composites through multi-scale intragranular and intergranular reinforcements

The configuration and quality of reinforcements, as well as the robustness of interfacial bonding,holding a critical significance in determining the concurrence between electrical conductivity and mechanical strength in metal matrix composites. In this study, citric acid was employed as the precursor for synthesizing multiscale carbon nanomaterials(graphene quantum dots and graphene, abbreviated as GQDs and GN). The GQDs@GN/Cu composites were fabricated through a segmented ball milling process in conjunction with subsequent spark plasma sintering(SPS). The intragranular GQDs and intergranular GQDs@GN had synergistically reinforced Cu composites through Orowan strengthening, load transfer strengthening and refinement strengthening. Furthermore,the robust interface bonding between GQDs@GN and Cu effectively mitigated interfacial impedance stemming from electron-boundary scattering. The yield strength and ultimate tensile strength of the GQDs@GN/Cu composites were recorded as 270 and 314 MPa, respectively, representing an improvement of 92 and 28% over pure Cu, while maintaining electrical conductivity at a level comparable to that of pure Cu. This study advances the understanding of the possibility of realizing a synergistic compatibility between electrical conductivity and mechanical strength in Cu composites.

A Deep Learning Framework for Mass-Forming Chronic Pancreatitis and Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma Classification Based on Magnetic Resonance Imaging

Pancreatic diseases, including mass-forming chronic pancreatitis (MFCP) and pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC), present with similar imaging features, leading to diagnostic complexities. Deep Learning (DL) methodshave been shown to perform well on diagnostic tasks. Existing DL pancreatic lesion diagnosis studies basedon Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) utilize the prior information to guide models to focus on the lesionregion. However, over-reliance on prior information may ignore the background information that is helpful fordiagnosis. This study verifies the diagnostic significance of the background information using a clinical ***, the Prior Difference Guidance Network (PDGNet) is proposed, merging decoupled lesion andbackground information via the Prior Normalization Fusion (PNF) strategy and the Feature Difference Guidance(FDG) module, to direct the model to concentrate on beneficial regions for diagnosis. Extensive experiments inthe clinical dataset demonstrate that the proposed method achieves promising diagnosis performance: PDGNetsbased on conventional networks record an ACC (Accuracy) and AUC (Area Under the Curve) of 87.50% and89.98%, marking improvements of 8.19% and 7.64% over the prior-free benchmark. Compared to lesion-focusedbenchmarks, the uplift is 6.14% and 6.02%. PDGNets based on advanced networks reach an ACC and AUC of89.77% and 92.80%. The study underscores the potential of harnessing background information in medical imagediagnosis, suggesting a more holistic view for future research.

Marine dissolved organic matter (DOM) represents the largest carbon reservoir (～662 Pg carbon; Hansell, 2013). DOM in the ocean could be introduced from rivers, marine aerosols, and adjacent continental shelves, even produced, and transformed by physical processes (such as desorption and transfer), as well as microbial processes. A significant amount of DOM resists quick degradation and is classified as refractory DOM (RDOM) based on its reactivity and longevity (Hansell, 2013).

Oral infectious diseases caused by a variety of pathogenic bacteria seriously affect the quality of ***,these diseases remain a clinical challenge because of the lack of simple,safe,and universal *** address these limitations,we synthesize CuO_(x)nanodots(CuO_(x)NDs)with excellent Fenton-like reaction activity and utilize them in the treatment of oral bacterial *** from other complicated approaches,CuO_(x)NDs are rationally prepared using a facile one-pot aqueous *** the presence of H_(2)O_(2),these well-developed CuO_(x)NDs can efficiently catalyze the generation of hydroxyl radicals(·OH)around oral pathogens,leading to the death of various ***,results of biosafety indicate the high biocompatibility and extremely low toxicity of these CuO_(x)*** understanding the admirable in vitro antibacterial effect of CuO_(x)NDs in the presence of H_(2)O_(2),we further explore their in vivo antibacterial performance on several classical animal models including oral mucosal wound model,intragingival bacteria-infected model,and the periodontal infection *** expected,these CuO_(x)NDs with wide-spectrum antibacterial activity can serve as high-performance antibacterial reagents for the treatment of various oral bacterial infections with the help of H_(2)O_(2).In brief,current nanoplatform can act as efficient antibiotics against oral pathogens with broadening the biomedical applications of copper-based nanomaterials.

Spatial structural characteristics of the Deda ancient landslide in the eastern Tibetan Plateau:Insights from Audio-frequency Magnetotellurics and the Microtremor Survey Method

It is of crucial importance to investigate the spatial structures of ancient landslides in the eastern Tibetan Plateau’s alpine canyons as they could provide valuable insights into the evolutionary history of the landslides and indicate the potential for future *** study examines the Deda ancient landslide,situated in the Chalong-ranbu fault zone,where creep deformation suggests a complex underground *** integrating remote sensing,field surveys,Audio-frequency Magnetotellurics(AMT),and Microtremor Survey Method(MSM)techniques,along with engineering geological drilling for validation,to uncover the landslide’s spatial feature *** research indicates that a fault is developed in the upper part of the Deda ancient landslide,and the gully divides it into Deda landslide accumulation zoneⅠand Deda landslide accumulation zoneⅡin *** distinctive geological characteristics detectable by MSM in the shallow subsurface and by AMT in deeper *** findings include the identification of two sliding zones in the Deda I landslide,the shallow sliding zone(DD-I-S1)depth is approximately 20 m,and the deep sliding zone(DD-I-S2)depth is 36.2-49.9 *** sliding zone(DD-Ⅱ-S1)depth of the DedaⅡlandslide is 37.6-43.1 m.A novel MSM-based method for sliding zone identification is proposed,achieving less than 5%discrepancy in depth determination when compared with drilling *** results provide a valuable reference for the spatial structural analysis of large-deepseated landslides in geologically complex regions like the eastern Tibetan Plateau.
