Two-terminal(2-T)perovskite(PVK)/CuIn(Ga)Se_(2)(CIGS)tandem solar cells(TSCs)have been considered as an ideal tandem cell because of their best bandgap matching regarding to Shockley–Queisser(S–Q)***,the nature of the irregular rough morphology of commercial CIGS prevents people from improving tandem device *** this paper,D-homoserine lactone hydrochloride is proven to improve coverage of PVK materials on irregular rough CIGS surfaces and also passivate bulk defects by modulating the growth of PVK *** addition,the minority carriers near the PVK/C60 interface and the incompletely passivated trap states caused interface recombination.A surface reconstruction with 2-thiopheneethylammonium iodide and N,N-dimethylformamide assisted passivates the defect sites located at the surface and grain ***,LiF is used to create this field effect,repelling hole carriers away from the PVK and C60 interface and thus reducing *** a result,a 2-T PVK/CIGS tandem yielded a power conversion efficiency of 24.6%(0.16 cm^(2)),one of the highest results for 2-T PVK/CIGS TSCs to our *** validation underscores the potential of our methodology in achieving superior performance in PVK/CIGS tandem solar cells.

This editorial assesses the prognostic value of preoperative inflammatory and nutritional biomarkers in patients undergoing surgical resection for pancreatic *** et al evaluated the ability of seven biomarkers to predict postoperative recovery and long-term *** biomarkers were albumin-to-globulin ratio,prognostic nutritional index(PNI),systemic immune-inflammation index,neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio,platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio,nutritional risk index,and geriatric nutritional risk *** PNI was found to be a strong predictor of both overall and recurrence-free survival,underscoring its clinical relevance in managing patients with pancreatic cancer.

This editorial examines a recent study that used radiomics based on computed tomography(CT)to predict the expression of the fibroblast-related gene enhancer of zeste homolog 2(EZH2)and its correlation with the survival of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).By integrating radiomics with molecular analysis,the study presented a strategy for accurately predicting the expression of EZH2 from CT *** findings demonstrated a strong link between the radiomics model,EZH2 expression,and patient *** noninvasive approach provides valuable insights into the therapeutic management of HCC.

Schwann cell transplantation is considered one of the most promising cell-based therapy to repair injured spinal cord due to its unique growth-promoting and myelin-forming properties.A the Food and Drug Administration-approved Phase I clinical trial has been conducted to evaluate the safety of transplanted human autologous Schwann cells to treat patients with spinal cord injury.A major challenge for Schwann cell transplantation is that grafted Schwann cells are confined within the lesion cavity,and they do not migrate into the host environment due to the inhibitory barrier formed by injury-induced glial scar,thus limiting axonal reentry into the host spinal *** we introduce a combinatorial strategy by suppressing the inhibitory extracellular environment with injection of lentivirus-mediated transfection of chondroitinase ABC gene at the rostral and caudal borders of the lesion site and simultaneously leveraging the repair capacity of transplanted Schwann cells in adult rats following a mid-thoracic contusive spinal cord *** report that when the glial scar was degraded by chondroitinase ABC at the rostral and caudal lesion borders,Schwann cells migrated for considerable distances in both rostral and caudal *** Schwann cell migration led to enhanced axonal regrowth,including the serotonergic and dopaminergic axons originating from supraspinal regions,and promoted recovery of locomotor and urinary bladder ***,the Schwann cell survival and axonal regrowth persisted up to 6 months after the injury,even when treatment was delayed for 3 months to mimic chronic spinal cord *** findings collectively show promising evidence for a combinatorial strategy with chondroitinase ABC and Schwann cells in promoting remodeling and recovery of function following spinal cord injury.

We employ finite element method to investigate the kinematics of non-axially positioned vesicles through a *** complete the coupling between fluid flow and the vesicle membranes,we use the fluid structure interactions with the arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian *** results demonstrate that the vesicles show different deformations in migration process,in turn an oblique ellipse-shape,slipper-shape,*** find that the rotation angle of non-axially positioned vesicles mainly shows the trend of increase,besides the small fluctuation induced by deformation ***,when the vesicles move towards the axis of the channel,the rotation angle exhibits a decrease because of the decrease of the shear ***,rotation of axially positioned vesicles hardly occur due to symmetrical shear *** results further indicate that the rotation is faster nearby the pore for non-axially positioned *** work answers the mapping between the positions of vesicles and deformed states,as well as the change of rotation angle and rotation velocity,which can provide helpful information on the utilization of vesicles in pharmaceutical,chemical,and physiological processes.

Gastric cancer(GC) is a prevalent and lethal malignancy worldwide, and the 5-year survival rate is less than 30%. The absence of distinctive symptoms often leads to late-stage diagnosis, contributing to a grim prognosis. Early detection is pivotal for improving the survival rates and outcomes of GC patients. Traditional diagnostic methods, including gastroscopy and histopathological examination, are restricted in the early diagnosis of GC. Conventional protein biomarkers, such as carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA), carbohydrate antigen 19-9(CA19-9), and carbohydrate antigen 72-4(CA72-4), exhibit insufficient sensitivity and specificity for GC screening, which diminishes their clinical value. Recently, novel circulating biomarkers, such as circulating tumor cells(CTCs), circulating tumor cell DNA(ct DNA), and circulating free RNA(cf RNA), have emerged as promising candidates in the burgeoning field of liquid biopsy due to their superior sensitivity and specificity. This review focuses on the latest research on blood-based biomarkers for GC diagnosis and examines the clinical potentials and challenges associated with these emerging biomarkers.

Productivity analysis of a fractured horizontal well in a shale gas reservoir based on discrete fracture network model

The treatment of horizontal wells with massive hydraulic fracturing technology is important for the economical development of shale gas reservoirs, but sometimes is complex because of the induced fractures during the fracturing process. The studies of the fluid flow characteristics in such formations are rare. In this study, a numerical method based on a finite element method (FEM) is developed for the productivity analysis of a horizontal well in a shale gas reservoir with complex fractures. The proposed method takes into account the adsorbed gas and the complex hydraulic fracture branches. To make the problem more tractable, the dimension of the fracture system is reduced from 2-D to 1-D based on the discrete fracture network (DFN) model. The accuracy of the new method is verified by comparing its results with those obtained by the Saphir commercial software. Finally, the productivity of the fractured horizontal wells in shale gas reservoirs with complex fractures systems is evaluated and analyzed. Results show that if a well is produced with a constant bottomhole pressure, the well productivity is much increased due to the existence of fracture branches that can increase the stimulated reservoir volume (SRV). In addition, the number of hydraulic fractures (Nf) and the fracture halMengths (Lf) have an important influence on the well's productivity. The larger the values of Nf,Lf,the greater the well productivity will be. The existence of adsorbed gas can markedly improve the well productivity, and the greater the Langmuir volume, the greater the productivity will be. The conclusions drawn by this study can provide a guidance for the development of unconventional shale gas reservoirs.

Video question answering(Video QA)involves a thorough understanding of video content and question language,as well as the grounding of the textual semantic to the visual content of ***,to answer the questions more accurately,not only the semantic entity should be associated with certain visual instance in video frames,but also the action or event in the question should be localized to a corresponding temporal *** turns out to be a more challenging task that requires the ability of conducting reasoning with correlations between instances along temporal *** this paper,we propose an instance-sequence reasoning network for video question answering with instance grounding and temporal *** our model,both visual instances and textual representations are firstly embedded into graph nodes,which benefits the integration of intra-and ***,we propose graph causal convolution(GCC)on graph-structured sequence with a large receptive field to capture more causal connections,which is vital for visual grounding and instance-sequence ***,we evaluate our model on TVQA+dataset,which contains the groundtruth of instance grounding and temporal localization,three other Video QA datasets and three multimodal language processing *** experiments demonstrate the effectiveness and generalization of the proposed ***,our method outperforms the state-of-the-art methods on these benchmarks.
