mineralogy of Chang'e-4 landing site:preliminary results of visible and near-infrared imaging spectrometer

The exploration of mafic anomaly in South Pole-Aitken(SPA, the largest confirmed) basin on the Moon provides important insights into lunar interior. The landing of Chang’e-4(CE-4) and deployment of Yutu-2.rover on the discontinuous ejecta from Finsen crater enabled in-situ measurements of the unusual mineralogy in the central portion of SPA basin with visible and near-infrared imaging spectrometer(VNIS).Here we present detailed processing procedures based on the level 2. data of CE-4 VNIS and preliminary mineralogical results at the exploration area of Yutu-2.rover. A systematic processing pipeline is developed to derive credible reflectance spectra, based on which several spectral and mineral indices are calculated to constrain the mafic mineralogy. The mafic components in the soils and boulder around CE-4 landing site are concluded as clinopyroxene-bearing with intermediate composition and probably dominated by pigeonite although the possibility of mixing orthopyroxen(OPX) and calcic clinopyroxene(CPX) also exists. These mineralogical results are more consistent with a petrogenesis that the CE-4 regolith and rock fragment are derived from rapid-cooling magmatic systems and we interpret that the materials at the CE-4 landing site ejected from Finsen crater are probably recrystallized from impact melt settings.

This paper aims to investigate the present situation and transfer mechanisms of microplastics in lacustrine sediments in the Qinghai-Tibet *** study surveyed the average abundance of microplastics in *** abundance of microplastics in sediments of lakes from the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is 17.2.-2.43.65 items/kg DW and 0-60.63.items/kg DW based on the data of the Qinghai Lake and the Siying Co *** microplastic abundance in sediments from small and medium lakes is very high compared to that in other areas in the *** microplastics in other lakes of the world,those in the lakes in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau mainly include organic polymers PA,PET,PE,and PP and are primarily in the shape of fibers and *** microplastic pollution of lacustrine sediments in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is affected by natural changes and by human activities,and the concentration of microplastics in lacustrine ecosystems gradually increases through food ***,the paper suggests the relevant administrative departments of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau strengthen waste management while developing tourism and pay much attention to the impacts of microplastics in water *** study provides a reference for preventing and controlling microplastic contamination in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

The tempo-spatial characteristics and forming mechanism of Lithium-rich brines in China

With the technological development of exploitation and separation,the primary source of lithium has gradually changed from ore to brine,which has become the main raw material,accounting for more than 80% of the total *** of lithium-bearing brine are abundant in *** paper has summarized the spatial and temporal distribution,characteristics,and formation mechanism of the lithium-rich brine in China,aiming to provide a comprehensive set of guidelines for future lithium exploitation from *** brines usually exist in modem saline lakes and deep underground sedimentary rocks as subsurface *** metallogenic epoch of China's lithium-rich brine spans from the Triassic to the Quaternary,and these brines exhibit obvious regional distribution *** lithium-rich saline lakes are predominately located in the Qinghai-Tibet *** comparison,the subsurface lithium-rich brines are mainly distributed in the sedimentary basins of Sichuan,Hubei,Jiangxi,and the western part of the Qaidam ***-rich saline lakes are chloride-enriched,sulfate-enriched,and carbonateenriched,while the deep lithium-rich brines are mainly *** the whole,the value of Mg/Li in deep brine is generally lower than that of brine in saline *** genesis of lithium-rich brines in China is not uniform,generally there are two processes,which are respectively suitable for salt lakes and deep brine.

Data processing and preliminary results of the Chang'e-3.VIS/NIR Imaging Spectrometer in-situ analysis

The Chang＇e-3.Visible and Near-infrared Imaging Spectrometer （VNIS） is one of the four payloads on the Yutu rover. After traversing the landing site during the first two lunar days, four different areas are detected, and Level 2. and 2. ra- diance data have been released to the scientific community. The released data have been processed by dark current subtraction, correction for the effect of temperature, radiometric calibration and geometric calibration. We emphasize approaches for re- flectance analysis and mineral identification for in-situ analysis with VNIS. Then the preliminary spectral and mineralogical results from the landing site are derived. After comparing spectral data from VNIS with data collected by the Ma instrument and samples of mare that were returned from the Apollo program, all the reflectance data have been found to have similar absorption features near 1000 nm except lunar sample 71061. In addition, there is also a weak absorption feature between 1750-2.00nm on VNIS, but the slopes of VNIS and Ma reflectance at longer wavelengths are lower than data taken from samples of lunar mare. Spectral parameters such as Band Centers and Integrated Band Depth Ratios are used to analyze mineralogical features. The results show that detection points E and N2.5 are mixtures of high-Ca pyroxene and olivine, and the composition of olivineat point N2.5 is higher than that at point E, but the compositions of detection points S3.and N2.3.are mainly olivine-rich. Since there are no obvious absorption features near 12.0 nm, plagioclase is not directly identified at the landing site.

新疆植棉区土壤盐碱化严重。为农业可持续发展提升土壤肥力进而获得棉花高产,通过盆栽试验,以南疆库尔勒盐碱化土为研究对象,研究自制天然-合成聚合物土壤改良剂对棉花种子萌芽率、发芽势、发芽指数、棉花幼苗根茎长、干鲜重的影响,并采用傅里叶变换红外光谱、扫描电子显微镜表征方法对土壤改良剂作用下土壤微观结构进行研究。研究表明,自制土壤改良剂1#即矿源黄腐酸钾-聚丙烯酸接枝盐碱土壤改良剂在3.不同浓度条件下均能改善棉花种子萌发、早期生长状况,以A2.理(880 mg土壤致良剂1#+1000 mL蒸馏水)效果最佳,相对于CK处理(1000 mL蒸馏水),发芽势和萌发率分别提高了63.2.和50.0%,幼苗鲜重增加了99.0%,干重增加了76.9%。自制土壤改良剂2.即矿源黄腐酸钾-聚丙烯酸共混盐碱土壤改良剂在低浓度下能提高种子萌发率及幼苗生物量,中高浓度有不同程度的抑制作用。改良后土壤的红外光谱变化不大,有机质吸收峰稍有增强;添加土壤改良剂能改善原始土壤致密紧实的结构,土壤颗粒之间开始团聚、土壤表面变得粗糙,改良剂1#以A2.理土壤团聚颗粒最大,颗粒间孔隙最多,改良剂2.土壤也变得相对疏松,但不同添加浓度之间变化不大。

Paleoclimate changes during the last glacial in the arid central Asia are not as well understood as the monsoon-dominated areas of Asia. Here we report a 75-m-long sediment core over past 12. kyr based on astronomical tuning combined with the optically stimulated luminescence(OSL) dating in the Kashi depression of the western Tarim Basin, Northwest China. Analysis of grain size and highresolution gamma ray(GR) logs from the KT11 borehole across the last glacial period yields a climate history for the Tarim Basin which reflects the variations of its temperature and the hydrological cycles. Comparison of these records with north hemisphere summer insolation, the Greenland ice core temperature, stalagmites and the loess from the nearby region indicates that the deposits in the fluvio-lacustrine system of the Kashi depression responded to climate change at the Younger Dryas(YD), six Heinrich cooling events and the Dansgaard-Oeschger cycles. Our work indicates that the alternations between warm-humid and cold-dry climates were prevalent in the western Tarim Basin during the last glacial period, showing an in-phase pattern with the climate variations of the East Asian Monsoon, controlled ultimately by precession and North Atlantic Ocean climate variability on orbital-millennial time scales.

Bone defects are common clinical problems in the world,and there are many biomaterials used for treat-ing ***,there is still a paucity of bioactive materials capable of modulating the immune ***,it is necessary to identify new therapeutic strategies to regulate the immune microenvironment of the bone defect to further promote ***(HAP)is an impor-tant mineral for the framework of the human ***,HAP has become a key research object for bone tissue engineering applications due to its unique tailored properties and similarity to bone ***,we prepared rod-shaped HAP(rHAP)with different concentrations(0,100,2.0,and 3.0μg/mL).The slowly released Ca^(2.)of 2.0μg/mL rHAP can induce macrophage phenotype 2.M2.polarization to decrease inflammatory cytokine secretion via the PI3.-Akt and Wnt/β-catenin *** addition,rHAP can induce osteogenesis through the osteogenic differentiation of rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem *** conclusion,the 2.0μg/mL rHAP shows the potential for osteoimmunomodulation in a bone defect in vitro and in vivo,which is beneficial to the treatment of bone defects.

Advances in joint roughness coefficient (JRC) and its engineering applications

The joint roughness coefficient (JRC), introduced in Barton (1973. represented a new method in rock mechanics and rock engineering to deal with problems related to joint roughness and shear strength estimation. It has the advantages of its simple form, easy estimation, and explicit consideration of scale effects, which make it the most widely accepted parameter for roughness quantification since it was proposed. As a result, JRC has attracted the attention of many scholars who have developed JRC-related methods in many areas, such as geological engineering, multidisciplinary geosciences, mining mineral processing, civil engineering, environmental engineering, and water resources. Because of such a developing trend, an overview of JRC is presented here to provide a clear perspective on the concepts, methods, applications, and trends related to its extensions. This review mainly introduces the origin and connotation of JRC, JRC-related roughness measurement, JRC estimation methods, JRC-based roughness characteristics investigation, JRC-based rock joint property description, JRC's influence on rock mass properties, and JRC-based rock engineering applications. Moreover, the representativeness of the joint samples and the determination of the sampling interval for rock joint roughness measurements are discussed. In the future, the existing JRC-related methods will likely be further improved and extended in rock engineering.

The giant Bayan Obo REE-Nb-Fe deposit consists of replacement bodies hosted in dolomite marble made up of magnetite,REE fluorocarbonates,fluorite,aegirine,amphibole, calcite and *** or three phase CO-rich,three phase hypersaline liquid-vapor-solid,and two phase liquid-rich inclusions have been recognized in mineralized fluorite and quartz samples. Microthermometry measurements indicate that the carbonic phase in CO-rich inclusions is nearly pure *** involving in REE-Nb-Fe mineralization at Bayan Obo might be mainly of HO-CO-NaCl-(F-REE) *** of brine inclusions and CO-rich inclusions with similar homogenization temperatures give evidence that immiscibility happened during REE *** unmixing of an original HO-CO-NaCl fluid probably derived from carbonatitic *** presence of REE-carbonates as an abundant solid in fluid inclusions shows that the original ore-forming fluids are very rich in REE,and therefore,have the potential to produce economic REE ores at Bayan Obo.

The Rushan gold deposit in the Jiaodong Peninsula is currently the largest lode gold in *** occurs mainly in pyrite- and polymetallic sulfide-quartz vein/veinlet stockworks. Fluid inclusions in the deposit are divided into three main types,namely CO2.H2., H2.-CO2.CH4 and aqueous *** data show that the pre-gold fluids were CO2.dominant(XCO2.up to 0.53.,and the total homogenization temperatures fall in the range of 2.8～3.7℃.These fluids,modified by fluid/wallrock reactions,gradually evolved into fluids with less CO2.XCO2.0.01～0.19) in the main ore-forming stage,and the total homogenization temperatures range from 170～3.0}.Hydrogen and oxygen stable isotope data suggest that ore-forming fluids were mixture of magmatic and meteoritic ***-occurrence of gold and sulfides implies that gold was most likely transported in the form of gold-sulfide *** wide distribution of CO2.inclusions mean that the pH variation during gold transportation was controlled by CO2.buffering.
