The linear dispersion relation of a trapezoidally corrugated slow wave structure （TCSWS） is analyzed and presented. The size parameters of the TCSWS are chosen in such a way that they operate in the x-band frequency range. The dispersion relation is solved by utilizing the Rayleigh-Fourier method by expressing the radial function in terms of the Fourier series. A highly accurate synthetic technique is also applied to determine the complete dispersion characteristics from experimentally measured resonances （cold test）. Periodic structures resonate at specific frequencies when the terminals are shorted numerical calculation, synthetic technique and cold appropriately. The dispersion characteristics obtained from test are compared, and an excellent agreement is achieved.

Localization of sensor nodes in the internet of underwater things(IoUT)is of considerable significance due to its various applications,such as navigation,data tagging,and detection of underwater ***,in this paper,we propose a hybrid Bayesian multidimensional scaling(BMDS)based localization technique that can work on a fully hybrid IoUT network where the nodes can communicate using either optical,magnetic induction,and acoustic *** communication technologies are already used for communication in the underwater environment;however,lacking localization *** and magnetic induction communication achieves higher data rates for short *** the contrary,acoustic waves provide a low data rate for long-range underwater *** proposed method collectively uses optical,magnetic induction,and acoustic communication-based ranging to estimate the underwater sensor nodes’final ***,we also analyze the proposed scheme by deriving the hybrid Cramer-Rao lower bound(H-CRLB).Simulation results provide a complete comparative analysis of the proposed method with the literature.

A simple integrated coupler is proposed for the efficient excitation of surface plasmon polariton （SPP） mode in a thin metal film. The SPP mode is generated in a single Ag-dielectric interface by the incident field and coupled with an Ag thin film. The coupling efficiency at different wavelengths using two different dielectrics, gallium lanthanum sulfide （GLS） and aluminum gallium arsenide （AIGaAs） is calculated by analyzing the SPP propagation dynamics with the finite difference time domain method. A maximum coupling efficiency of 70~ is obtained at a wavelength of 46Ohm when GLS is used, whereas the corresponding value obtained for A1GaAs is 60~o at 56Onto. The proposed structure can be used to excite SPPs in a nano-thin film from an external bulky source and is easier to fabricate since a single interface metal-dielectric configuration is used to excite the metal-thin film.

One of the new impetuses for world tourism industry is Muslim tourism market. Like other tourists, Muslim tourists also need enjoyment, relax, holiday spending, and leisure activities. The increased growth of Muslim populations in the world and their wanderlusts for traveling has compelled the world tourism industry to think Muslim/Islamic tourism as a new phenomenon. This research study aims to discover the traveling needs and behavior of Muslim tourists by investigating the influence of Islamic teachings on Muslim traveling behavior and identifying alternatives choices of consuming Halal products and services. It also finds out the potentiality of this market, challenges of catering this market, and the ways to successfully cater this market segment by non-Muslim destination, *** study used partial mixed method(quantitative and qualitative) where 17 interviews' as well as 219 questionnaires' data were analyzed. The qualitative analysis was done manually following formal structure, while quantitative analysis was done by mean, factor analysis, ANOVA, and independent sample t-test in SPSS *** study identified six important Muslim traveling needs- Halal food & respectful behavior, Islamic hotel environment, Islamic morality, entertainment and worship, wash room facilities, and destination choice. Halal food and respectful behavior and wash room facilities are the most important needs to Muslim tourists while Islamic hotel environment, Islamic morality & entertainment, and worship are the second most important needs. Choosing destination is the least important factor for Muslim's *** study also identified two alternative choices of consuming Halal products and services- sea food and like sea food as well as undoubted alternative food, where undoubted alternative food(vegetables, fish, and fruits) is the most preferable alterative. The propagation characteristics of the surface-plasmon-polariton （SPP） mode in the single interface of silver （Ag） and gallium lanthanum sulfide （GLS） have been studied both analytically and numerically. The obtained numerical results show an excellent agreement with the analytical ones. The locations of the spatial resonance point along the direction of propagation were determined for the dielectric and the metal.

Fractional order algorithms have shown promising results in various signal processing applications due to their ability to improve performance without significantly increasing *** goal of this work is to inves-tigate the use of fractional order algorithm in the field of adaptive beam-forming,with a focus on improving performance while keeping complexity *** effectiveness of the algorithm will be studied and evaluated in this *** this paper,a fractional order least mean square(FLMS)algorithm is proposed for adaptive beamforming in wireless applications for effective utilization of *** algorithm aims to improve upon existing beam-forming algorithms,which are inefficient in performance,by offering faster convergence,better accuracy,and comparable computational *** FLMS algorithm uses fractional order gradient in addition to the standard ordered gradient in weight *** derivation of the algorithm is provided and supported by mathematical convergence *** is evaluated through simulations using mean square error(MSE)minimization as a metric and compared with the standard LMS algorithm for various *** results,obtained through Matlab simulations,show that the FLMS algorithm outperforms the standard LMS in terms of convergence speed,beampattern accuracy and scatter *** outperforms LMS in terms of convergence speed by 34%.From this,it can be concluded that FLMS is a better candidate for adaptive beamforming and other signal processing applications.

Production of Biochar for Soil Application:A Comparative Study of Three Kiln Models

Biochar has potentials for soil fertility improvement, climate change mitigation and environmental reclamation, and charred biomass can be deliberately incorporated into soil for long-term carbon stabilization and soil amendment. Many different methods have been used for biochar production ranging from laboratory to industrial scales. However, in countryside of developing countries, biomass is generally used for cooking but not charred. Biochar production techniques at farmer scale have remained poorly developed. We developed and tested biochar production kilns for farmers with a dimension of 50.8 cm × 38.1 cm （height × diameter）, using three different setups for optimizing oxygen （02） limitation and syngas circulation： airtight with no syngas circulation （Model I）, semi-airtight with external syngas circulation （Model II） and semi-airtight with internal syngas circulation （Model III）. A comparative assessment of these biochar production kiln models was made considering biochar pyrolysis time, fuel to biomass ratio, biochar to feedstock ratio and thermogravimetric index （TGI）. Among the models, the best quality biochar （TGI ---- 0.15） was obtained from Model I kiln taking the longest time for pyrolysis （12.5 h） and the highest amount of fuel wood （1.22 kg kg-1 biomass）. Model III kiln produced comparatively good quality biochar （TGI = 0.11）, but with less fuel wood requirement （0.33 kg kg-1 biomass） and shorter pyrolysis time （8.5 h）. We also tested Model III kiln in a three times larger size under two situations （steel kiln and pit kiln）. The biochar to feedstock ratio （0.38） and quality （TGI =0.14） increased slightly for the larger kilns. Quality of biochar was found to be mainly related to pyrolysis time. The costs for the biochar stove and pit kiln were US$ 65-77, while it was US$ 154 for the large size steel kiln. Model III kiln can potentially be used for both cooking and biochar production at farmer scale.

Objective:To study the leaves of Adiantum philippense *** their antioxidant,cytotoxicity and thrombolytic activities and to perform phytochemical ***:In-vitro antioxidant activity of extract was studied using DPPH radical scavenging,reducing power,total phenol and total flavonoid content determination *** cytotoxic activity was determined using brine shrimp lethality bioassay,thrombolytic activity by clot disruption and phytochemical potential by qualitative ***:The antioxidant activity of the extracts was found *** reducing power of this crude extract increase with the increase of concentration;IC_(50)values of DPPH scavenging activity was(140.00±0.86)μg/mL as compared to ascorbic acid[IC_(50)(130.00±0.76)μg/mL];Total phenol and total flavonoids content were(148.26±0.24)mg/mL and(163.06±0.56)mg/mL *** cytotoxicity assay the LC_(50)values of the sample was(106.41±0.78)μg/mL where as for standard vincristin sulphate was(08.50±0.24)μg/mL as a positive control and the extract shows(12.8611.02)%clot lytic whereas standard streptokinase shows(30.86+0.44%clot lytic activity in thrombolytic *** phytochemical evaluation indicates the presence of chemical constituents including carbohydrates,alkaloids,saponins,glycosides,***:This study shows that the methanol extract of leaves of Adiantum philippense *** bioactivitv but further compound isolation is necessary to confirm the activities of individual compounds.
