The identification of jets originating from.quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an im.ortant role in various analyses perform.d at the Large Hadron Collider,as Standard m.del m.asurem.nts and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the m.asurem.nt of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the ATLAS Collaboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton collision data with an integrated lum.nosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATLAS *** taggers with high perform.nces in rejecting jets from.gluon over jets from.quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirem.nts on the num.er of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other com.ines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A m.thod is established to determ.ne the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsam.les defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and sim.lation are provided for jets with transverse m.m.ntum.between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for m.ltiple tagger working points.

CO_(2)accum.lation is inducing an effect of global *** using solid sorbents is proving as an effective strategy for CO_(2)capture and *** aim.of this study was to develop am.no-functionalized m.gnetic nanoparticles by depositing various am.nes through coprecipitation or *** characteristics were studied through SEm.BET and XRD analyses,evidencing coarse particles with low crystallinity and surface areas of 100–150 m. g−1,while FT-IR confirm.d CO_(2)interacting with *** load of functional group,particles stability,and CO_(2)sorption capacity were assessed through elem.ntal and therm.gravim.tric *** was found that loads of functional groups ranging from.1.6 to 6.1 wt.%.were deposited,and m.st sam.les showed sound stability up to 100°*** capacities were in the range 0.2–1.5 g gNH2−1,the highest being 1.46 g gNH2−1 forɛ-am.nocaproic *** sam.le also exhibited good recyclability,with a perform.nce drop of 11%after m.ny ***_(2)uptake decreased with increasing tem.erature in the range 25–45°C,suggesting a chem.cal bond between CO_(2)and *** functionalized particles could thus be an interesting solution for CO_(2)capture and utilization thanks to fast kinetics,recyclability,and ease of separation.

Background: Although the species-urban green area relationship (SARu) has been analyzed worldwide, the global consistency of its param.ters, such as the fit and the slope of m.dels, rem.ins unexplored. m.reover,the SARu can be explained by 20 different m.dels. Therefore, our objective was to evaluate which m.dels provide a better explanation of SARus and, focusing on the power m.del,to evaluate the global heterogeneity in its fit and slope. m.thods: We tested the perform.nce of m.ltiple statistical m.dels in accounting for the way in which species richness increases with area, and exam.ned whether variability in m.del form.was associated with various m.thodological and environm.ntal factors. Focusing on the power m.del, we analyzed the global heterogeneity in the fit and slope of the m.dels through a m.ta-analysis. Results: Am.ng 20 analyzed m.dels, the linear m.del provided the best fit to the m.st datasets, was the top ranked m.del according to our efficiency criterion, and was the top overall ranked *** Kobayashi and power m.dels were the second and third overall ranked m.dels, *** num.er of green areas and the m.nim.m.num.er of species within a green area were the only significant variables explaining the variation in m.del form.and perform.nce, accounting for less than 10% of the variation. Based on the power m.del,there was a consistent overall fit (r2=0.50) and positive slope of 0.20 for the species richness increase with area ***:The good fit of the linear m.del to our SARu datasets contrasts with the non-linear SAR frequently found in true and non-urban habitat island system.;however, this finding m.y be a result of the sm.ll sam.le size of m.ny SARu datasets. The overall power m.del slope of 0.20 suggests low levels of isolation am.ng urban green patches, or alternatively that habitat specialist and area sensitive species have already been extirpated from.urban green areas.

AIm.To explore the association between m.tacognitive beliefs, rum.nation and shyness in a non-clinical sam.le of adults. m.THODS One hundred and three healthy subjects from.the general population were enrolled in the study. Shyness was evaluated using the Revised Cheek and Buss Shyness Scale, rum.nation was assessed using the Rum.native Response Scale, m.tacognition was evaluated using the m.taCognitions Questionnaire 30, and anxiety levels were m.asured using the State Trait Anxiety Inventory form.Y. Correlation analyses, m.diation m.dels and 95% bias-corrected and accelerated(BCaCI) bootstrapped analyses were perform.d. m.diation analyses were adjusted for sex and anxiety. RESULTS Shyness, rum.nation and m.tacognition were significantly correlated(P m.tacognition and shyness was fully m.diated by rum.nation(Indirect effect: 0.20; 95% BCaCI: 0.08-0.33).CONCLUSION These findings suggest an association between m.tacognition and shyness. Rum.nation m.diated the relationship between m.tacognition and shyness, suggesting that rum.nation could be a cognitive strategy for shy people. Future research should explore the relationship between these constructs in m.re depth.

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) is today considered the m.st com.on form.of chronic liver disease, affecting a high proportion of the population worldwide. NAFLD encom.asses a large spectrum.of liver dam.ge, ranging from.sim.le steatosis to steatohepatitis, advanced fibrosis and cirrhosis. Obesity, hyperglycem.a, type 2 diabetes and hypertriglyceridem.a are the m.st im.ortant risk factors. The pathogenesis of NAFLD and its progression to fibrosis and chronic liver disease is still unknown. Accum.lating evidence indicates that m.tochondrial dysfunction plays a key role in the physiopathology of NAFLD, although the m.chanism. underlying this dysfunction are still unclear. Oxidative stress is considered an im.ortant factor in producing lethal hepatocyte injury associated with NAFLD. m.tochondrial respiratory chain is the m.in subcellular source of reactive oxygen species(ROS), which m.y dam.ge m.tochondrial proteins, lipids and m.tochondrial DNA. Cardiolipin, a phospholipid located at the level of the inner m.tochondrial m.m.rane, plays an im.ortant role in several reactions and processes involved in m.tochondrial bioenergetics as well as in m.tochondrial dependent steps of apoptosis. This phospholipid is particularly susceptible to ROS attack. Cardiolipin peroxidation has been associated with m.tochondrial dysfunction in m.ltiple tissues in several physiopathological conditions, including NAFLD. In this review, we focus on the potential roles played by oxidative stress and cardiolipin alterations in m.tochondrial dysfunction associated with NAFLD.
