This study endeavors to develop an improved set of basis functions for nuclear shell-model calculations. The shell model, a well-established approach to understanding nuclear structure,typically employs the harmonic oscillator potential within the mean-field approximation. Given the extensive validation and consistency of harmonic oscillator results with experimental data,we propose a modification by incorporating a centrifugal term that converges toward the Davidson potential. This potential has been extensively studied, and we aim to extract relevant experimental data for the simplest cases in the shell model, namely one-particle and one-hole nuclei. A comprehensive comparison between the Davidson-based results and the harmonic oscillator calculations is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the new basis functions.

Efficient data management is a key issue for environments distributed on a large scale such as the data cloud. This can be taken into account by replicating the data. The replication of data reduces the time of service and the delay in availability, increases the availability, and optimizes the distribution of load in the system. It is worth mentioning, however, that with the replication of data, the use of resources and energy increases due to the storing of copies of the data. We suggest a replication manager that decreases the cost of using resources, energy, and the delay in the system, and also increases the availability of the system. To reach this aim, the suggested replication manager, called the locality replication manager （LRM）, works by using two important algorithms that use the physical adjacency feature of blocks. In addition, a set of simulations are reported to show that LRM can be a suitable option for distributed systems as it uses less energy and resources, optimizes the distribution of load, and has more availability and less delay.

Experimental investigation of density current patterns using dynamic fractal analysis

Density currents are caused by a difference in density, though low, of an entering fluid with the ambient fluid. This type of current is two-phased and found on riverbeds or in reservoirs behind dams, and is nonlinear in nature, complex, and sensitive to initial conditions. Fractal geometry is used as a powerful tool for studying complex natural phenomena. Using experimental studies and changes in inlet current conditions, the fractal and multi-fractal analyses of the interface between the density current and the ambient fluid were done. In addition, a search was made to find a possible connection between the nonlinear patterns. According to the results, with an increase in the inlet discharge and inlet density of the current the fractal dimension decreased. Further, the smaller the range of the singularity spectrum diagram was, i.e., the more it was less than 0.34, the lower the system’s tendency was to be multi-fractal,and the system sensitive to large local changes. In the interface between the density current and the ambient fluid, using the fractal dimension-based Richardson number could improve experimental data by 12.4%. Moreover, with an increase in the Richardson number, the Reynolds number of the current decreased. Further, upon considering the fractal dimension, the Reynolds number improved by 23% and a good correlation with a coefficient of determination of 0.76.

任何人都不能忽视词汇在语言学习中,尤其是在语言交际时,所发挥的作用。词汇在语言的组成部分中的确是非常重要的一部分。Sweet 1899（引自Batia和Nation,1993:163）谈到“学习外语最根本的困难在于必须要掌握它的词汇。”Zimmerman（1997）指出:“词汇对于语言和把英语作为外语的学习者来说是极其重要的。”Wilkins（1972）强调:“如果没有语法,只能转递很少的信息;但没有词汇,那么什么也不能传递。”明白了这一点,我选择调查阿富汗英语外语学习者关于词汇学习的信念以及学习策略的运用。已经有很多对词汇学习和习得不同方面的研究,包括EFL和ESL学生采用的最多或最少的词汇学习策略,男性和女性之间的差异,成功学习者和不太成功学习者之间的差异,以及在语境内和语境外的词汇学习等。但是,在国内这将是第一次调查关于阿富汗英语学习者词汇策略的研究。此项研究将选取177名来自谢赫·扎耶德大学的英语专业的学生作为被试。问卷包含了四个内容:信念,元认知策略,认知策略和社会情感策略。本研究选取学期末考核GPA和词汇量测试作为研究效度的工具。此项研究的目的是找寻这些学习者是如何学习英语词汇的以及去提高词汇学习的意识和策略,并基于研究的结果,给出相应的教学启示以及未来的研究建议。本研究将采用独立样本T检验来发现男性和女性,成功学习者和不太成功学习者之间的差异,并且将使用埃塔方差来测算差异的值。本研究将主要涉及如下问题:（1）在扎耶德大学,学习者关于词汇学习的信念是什么?（2）在扎耶德大学,英语外语学习者使用最多和最少的策略分别是什么?（3）男性和女性是否使用了相同或不同的策略?（4）在成功学习者和不太成功学习者之间,使用词汇学习策略时数据上是否存在显著差异?在研究中,发现学生主要相信单词应该通过使用来学习。学习者通常报告他们所采用的认知策略最高;在认知策略中:语境猜测、字典策略、笔记和使用词结构是最可取的策略,使用最少的策略是激活。其次使用最多的是情感策略。根据研究结果,可以推断学习者善于控制积极情绪和消极情绪。元认知被排在第三位,在有选择性的调节学习中发挥着积极作用。在男性和女性的比较中,发现两组之间存在显著差异。根据研究结果,可以推断男性学习者比女性更善于利用学习策略,这与大多数认为女性学习者更善于使用学习策略的研究结果相矛盾。我的研究结果背后的原因可能是文化上的限制、公共安全等因素。与不太成功的学习者,成功的学习者更善于使用三种策略:元认知、认知和情感。

Agriculture needs to produce more food to feed the growing population in the 21st *** makes the reference crop water requirement(WREQ)a major challenge especially in regions with limited water and high water ***,with large climatic variability,is experiencing a serious water crisis due to limited water resources and inefficient *** order to overcome the issue of uneven distribution of weather stations,gridded Climatic Research Unit(CRU)data was applied to analyze the changes in potential evapotranspiration(PET),effective precipitation(EFFPRE)and *** of data using in situ observation showed an acceptable performance of CRU in *** in PET,EFFPRE and WREQ were analyzed in two 30-a periods 1957-1986 and *** two periods showed an increase in PET and WREQ in regions extended from the southwest to northeast and a decrease in the southeast,more significant in summer and ***,EFFPRE decreased in the southeast,northeast,and northwest,especially in winter and *** of annual trends revealed an upward trend in PET(14.32 mm/decade)and WREQ(25.50 mm/decade),but a downward trend in EFFPRE(-11.8 mm/decade)over the second *** in PET,EFFPRE and WREQ in winter have the impact on the annual *** climate variables,WREQ showed a significant correlation(r=0.59)with minimum *** increase in WREQ and decrease in EFFPRE would exacerbate the agricultural water crisis in *** all changes in PET and WREQ,immediate actions are needed to address the challenges in agriculture and adapt to the changing climate.

Reasons and realities such as being non-linear of dynamical equations,being lightweight and unstable nature of quadrotor,along with internal and external disturbances and parametric uncertainties,have caused that the controller design for these quadrotors is considered the challenging issue of the *** this work,an adaptive sliding mode controller based on neural network is proposed to control the altitude of a *** error and error derivative of the altitude of a quadrotor are the inputs of neural network and altitude sliding surface variable is its *** network estimates the sliding surface variable adaptively according to the conditions of quadrotor and sets the altitude of a quadrotor equal to the desired *** proposed controller stability has been proven by Lyapunov theory and it is shown that all system states reach to sliding surface and are remaining in *** superiority of the proposed control method has been proven by comparison and simulation results.

Objective:To investigate capacity of Hyptis suaveolens(***) methanol extract as an antioxidant to protect against carbon tetrachloride(CCl_4)-indueed oxidative stress,hepatotoxicitv in Albino Wistar rats and cytoprotective effect of hydrogen peroxide(H_2O_2) induced cell death in HepG_2 cell ***:Two different doses of methanol extract of *** were evaluated for the hepatoprotective activity against carbon tetrachloride(CCl_4) induced hepatotoxicitv in *** in GroupⅠ:served as control,groupⅡ:***(100 mL/ kg b.w),groupⅢ:***(50 mL/kg b.w) + CCl_4(1 mg/kg),groupⅣ:***(100 mL/kg b.w) + CCl_4(1 ml/kg)and groupⅤ:CCl_4(1 mL/kg).Histopathologic changes of liver were also *** was also determined by 3,(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)2,5-diphenyl-tetrazolium bromide(MTT) ***:Oral sigle dose treatment of CCl_4 produced a marked elevation in the serum levels of aspartate transaminase(AST),alanine transaminase(ALT), alkaline phosphatase(ALP) and Lactate dehydrogenase(LDH).Histopathological analysis of the liver of CCl_4-induced rats revealed marked liver cell necrosis with inflammatory collections that were conformed to increase in the levels of SOD,GSH,GST,GR and *** with H_2O_2 significantly induced death of HepG_2 *** with *** methanol extract inhibited or attenuated H_2O_2 induced ***:This study shows that *** methanol extract can be proposed to protect the liver against CCl_4-induced oxidative damage in rats and protect the cells against H_2O_2-induced oxidative damage in HepG_2 *** hepatoprotective and cytoprotective effects might be correlated with its antioxidant and free radical scavenger effects.

Field programmable gate array (FPGA) devices have become widespread in electronic systems due to their low design costs and *** battery-restricted applications such as handheld electronics systems,low-power FPGAs are in great *** power almost equals dynamic power in modern integrated circuit technologies,so the reduction of leakage power leads to significant energy *** propose a power-efficient architecture for static random access memory(SRAM) based FPGAs,in which two modes (active mode and sleep mode) are defined for each *** sleep mode,ultralow leakage power is consumed by the *** module mode changes dynamically from sleep mode to active mode when module outputs evaluate for new input *** producing the correct outputs,the module returns to sleep *** proposed circuit design reduces the leakage power consumption in both active and sleep *** proposed low-leakage FPGA architecture is compared with state-of-the-art architectures by implementing Microelectronics Center of North Carolina(MCNC) benchmark circuits on FPGA-SPICE *** results show an approximately 95%reduction in leakage power consumption in sleep ***,the total power consumption (leakage+dynamic power consumption) is reduced by more than 15%compared with that of the best previous *** average area overhead (4.26%) is less than those of other powergating designs.

Unusual occurrence of orbital hemangiopericytoma in the zygomatic bone of an adolescent: a case report

Background:Hemangiopericytoma and solitary fibrous tumor are considered related variants on the same spectrum and both may essentially be the same *** are infrequently encountered in the orbital region while the zygomatic bone is an extremely rare location for these neoplasms to *** presentation:A 14-year-old boy presented with complaint of deformity of left infraorbital area and a firm,regular mass in the *** CT scan revealed a well-defined round isodense intraosseous lesion in the lowermost portion of the lateral orbital wall(zygomatic bone),expanding the bone and protruding anteriorly and *** showed the mass to be heterogenous and strongly enhancing with contrast *** transconjunctival orbitotomy was performed and the mass was *** histopathologic examination and immunohistochemistry staining results(positive for CD34,CD31 and smooth muscle actin,but negative for CD99,S100,B-cell lymphoma 2(bcl-2)and desmin)confirmed the diagnosis of *** postoperative course was uneventful,with no evidence of recurrence after 5 years follow ***:This case represents the second hemangiopericytoma reported in the zygomatic *** extremely rare,hemangiopericytoma/solitary fibrous tumor might be considered in the differential diagnosis of intraosseous lesions of the orbital and zygomatic region.
