The simultaneous study of demography and behavior might provide a more comprehensive understanding about animal responses to anthropogenic *** White-winged Dove(Zenaida asiatica)is a frequent dweller of urban and agricultural habitats in North America,Central America,and the ***,research on the species is heavily biased to the *** analyzed the response of the species to human disturbances during winter across an urban-agricultural landscape in northwestern Mexico through a demographic and behavioral *** modeled the effect of disturbance types(pedestrians,cars,pavement and building cover)on the density of the ***,we investigated if surveillance behavior varied across the landscape by estimating and comparing perching proportion among land uses(urban grey areas,urban green areas,cropfields,shrublands).We did not detect the species within cropfields,possibly because food resources were not available for the dove during winter in this land *** cover limited species’density,as it might reduce the surface of the preferred feeding substrates of the *** and building cover increased the density of the species,as they might provide food and shelter for the dove,*** behavior peaked in urban grey areas,whereas it dropped in urban green *** on threat levels,threat type,and protective cover among land uses might in-fluence such behavioral *** approach contributes to the knowledge of the species and demonstrates that both demographic and behavioral cues provide complementary evidence for analyzing the impact of human disturbances on animals.

Analysis of the Efficiency of Teaching Chess in Schools

The Republic of Armenia, as a world superpower in chess, is engaged in continuous development and implementation of specific strategic programmes which are aimed not only at providing high achievements in chess, but also at：（1） modernizing the educational sphere in the Republic of Armenia; （2） increasing the quality indexes of chess education--as a basic resource in the context of global educational system; （3） considerably deepening education subjects＇ cognitive interests towards education through the possibilities provided by chess; （4） developing learners＇ educational-cognitive motivation; and （5） creating conditions for activating learners＇ mental potential and the abilities to expose them, as well as promoting the awareness of the social value of chess in interpersonal relations. The contextual factors of teaching and learning chess in primary schools of Republic of Armenia have been revealed and presented in this paper. A number of conclusions and recommendations for policy makers are considerably made based on analysis of big research data.

Vaccines have measurable efficacy obtained first from vaccine ***,vaccine efficacy(VE)is not a static measure and long-term population studies are needed to evaluate its performance and ***-19 vaccines have been developed in record time and the currently licensed vaccines are extremely effective against severe disease with higher VE after the full immunization *** assess the impact of the initial phase of the coVID-19 vaccination rollout programmes,we used an extended Susceptible-Hospitalized-Asymptomatic/mild-Recovered(SHAR)*** models were proposed to evaluate different vaccine types:vaccine type 1 which protects against severe disease only but fails to block disease transmission,and vaccine type 2 which protects against both severe disease and *** was assumed as reported by the vaccine trials incorporating the difference in efficacy between one and two doses of vaccine *** described the performance of the vaccine in reducing hospitalizations during a momentary scenario in the Basque country,*** a population in a mixed vaccination setting,our results have shown that reductions in hospitalized coVID-19 cases were observed five months after the vaccination rollout started,from May to June *** in June,a good agreement between modelling simulation and empirical data was well pronounced.

苯酚对人类和水生生物有毒;在受纳水体中产生需氧量。随着工业废水的不断增加,对包括苯酚在内的有机物的去除要求也越来越高。固体吸附剂脱除水溶液中苯酚是一种有效的方法,但再生较为困难。本文提出了一种用碱性吸附剂吸附分离水溶液中苯酚和用co2再生的方法,研究了不同吸附剂对苯酚的吸附性能,探讨了吸附容量与吸附剂比表面积、孔径分布等特性之间的关系,为该方法脱除水溶液中苯酚提供了依据。具体研究结果为:本文研究用了四种固定在聚苯乙烯-二乙烯基苯基体上的氨基功能化树脂吸附水溶液中苯酚和解吸行为。这些聚合树脂被命名为Lewatit VP oC 1065、D308、Purolite A110 和 JT002。Lewatit-VP oC 1065 吸附剂中的氨基官能团由于静电吸附形成离子键,表现出较高的吸附容量和与苯酚的化学亲和力,最大吸附容量为40.49 mg/g,去除率为95.46%。无论D308、Purolite A110和JT002是否含有少量的氨基官能团,三种树脂对苯酚的吸附量分别为29.02 mg/g、22.61 mg/g和14.27 mg/g。研究表明,Lewatit VP oC 1065、D308、Purolite A110 和 JT002 去除苯酚的吸附平衡结果符合Langmuir等温模型,即苯酚在吸附剂的基质表面形成一层单层吸附。动力学研究结果表明,Lewatit VP oC 1065由于其基质中存在大量的氨基官能团,苯酚的去除速度更快;吸附动力学符合拟二级动力学模型,表明氨基官能团与苯酚之间存在化学吸附。这一现象与使用所有四种吸附剂去除苯酚的情况相似。采用3种不同的压力和4种温度对高压C02解吸过程进行了研究。结果表明,在较高的压力和温度下,解吸速度较快。在解吸过程中,增加co2压力可以增加气体密度,使更多的co2分子与树脂中的氨基官能团相互作用,取代已经吸附的苯酚。同时,提高体系温度使氨基官能团与苯酚分子之间的相互作用减弱,从而使苯酚更有效地被co2取代。树脂中的氨基官能团对酸性较强的化合物具有较高的选择性,因此co2分子被树脂吸附,苯酚在湿体系中被去除。吸附热力学表明,吸附是一个自发的、可行的、吸热的过程。此外,对Lewatit VP oC 1065进行了 7次吸附/解吸循环试验,结果表明,该催化剂具有良好的稳定性。在吸附/解吸循环过程中,可以观察到树脂的吸附能力略有下降。二氧化碳分子和氨基化合物在高温下会发生反应,产生不可逆的尿素分子（NH2）2co),使一些氨基官能团的活性位点失活。

BigPicture:An Analytical Platform for Business War Gaming

Business war games are strategic management exercises that bring the military scenario simulation to a commercial setting, helping business managers to better understand the environment in which they operate and anticipate scenarios, such as competition movements, new product launching and production capacity planning, among others. These exercises normally take place with players organized in teams, gathered in a room, with a static package of information provided beforehand. In this paper we present an alternative, dynamic way of playing a business war game, with players geographically dispersed, and information dynamically available as it is available from its sources. We introduce BigPicture, an analytical platform with unique features that allow it to be an ideal “playground” for conducting more realistic business war games.

Unraveling the factors that determine variation of diversity in tropical mountain systems is a topic for debate in plant *** is especially true in areas where topography is complex due to volcano elevational gradients and where forests are vulnerable to human *** this study we used a set of climatic(temperature,rainfall,and radiation solar),topographic(elevation,slope aspect,and slope orientation)and human disturbance variables to determine their effect on diversity and composition patterns of a tree community,considering three slope aspects of a tropical volcano in southeastern *** sampled trees in seventy 0.1-ha plots distributed on three slope aspects of the Tacanávolcano along an elevational gradient of 1500 to 2500 *** determined diversity patterns(general tree richness,exponential of Shannon index,and pioneer species richness)with linear regression models,and for beta diversity,we used a dissimilarity index(within and between elevational bands 100 m wide).The effect of a set of environmental and human disturbance variables on tree diversity and community composition was analyzed with general linear models and multivariate analyses,*** registered 2,949 individual trees belonging to 176 species and *** average species richness and alpha diversity per plot were 13(standard deviation±6)and 9(±5),*** tree richness and alpha diversity increased in the middle part(unimodal patterns)of the elevational gradient,but pioneer species richness decreased linearly with *** variance explained by general linear models was greater in richness(32%)than in alpha diversity(25.3%).The most important predictor variables were temperature(elevational gradient),which explained the unimodal pattern(richness and alpha diversity increase at intermediate levels of temperature),and slope orientation,which explained the increase in richness and alpha diversity toward the geographic *** temperature had a signific

objective: The objective of this study was to verify the effect of micro-loads and elastic bands exercise program in a group of patients with Parkinson’s disease (PD). Methods: Twenty-one people with PD, participated in this study. All participants were able to walk unassisted, and their disability score using the Hoehn & Yahr scale was 2 ± 0.5. Subjects were randomly assigned to micro-loads group (11 subjects, age 69 ± 10 years;weight 72 ± 12 kg, height 171 ± 7 cm) or to elastic band group (9 subjects, age 70 ± 11 years;weight 69 ± 15 kg and high 169 ± 9 cm). Both groups performed two sessions of physical activity per week during a period of 5 months. Subjects were evaluated on flexibility with sit and reach test;the body balance with stabilometric platform, useful to evaluate the center of pressure (coP);the Spinal Mouse? to assess the column shape and the sit to stand test to measure the strength performance of lower limbs. Tests were three times during the training period: after the first and the third month of physical activity and at the end of the training period. Results: Data showed a statistically significant variation in the sit to stand test in the EG group (T0 vs T2;Anova, p conclusion: Both micro-loads and elastic band exercises were well-tolerated. Elastic bands exercises produced a significant improvement in the lower limbs muscles performance.

Although the plant kingdom provides an enormous diversity of metabolites with potentially beneficial applications for humankind,a large fraction of these metabolites and their biosynthetic pathways remain *** metabolite structures and their biosynthetic pathways is key to gaining biological understanding andto allow metabolic *** orderto retrieve novel biosynthetic genes involved in specialized metabolism,we developed a novel untargeted method designated as qualitative trait GWAs(QT-GWAS)that subjects qualitative metabolic traits to a genome-wide association study,while the conventional metabolite GWAS(mGWAS)mainly considers the quantitative variation of *** a proof of the validity of QT-GWAS,23 and 15of the retrieved associations identified in Arabidopsis thaliana by QTGWAS and mGWAS,respectively,were supported by previous ***,seven genemetabolite associations retrieved by QT-GWAS were confirmed in this study through reverse genetics combined with metabolomics and/or in vitro enzyme *** such,we established that CYToCHRoME P450706A5(CYP706A5)is involved in the biosynthesis of chroman derivatives,UDP-GLYcoSYLTRANSFERASE 76C3(UGT76C3)is able tohexosylate guanine in vitro and in planta,and SULFoTRANSFERASE 202B1(SULT202B1)catalyzes the sulfation of neolignans in ***,our study demonstrates that the untargeted QT-GWAS method can retrieve valid gene-metabolite associations at the level of enzyme-encoding genes,even new associations that cannot be found by the conventional mGwAs,providing a new approach for dissecting qualitative metabolic traits.
