Radio Frequency IDentification(RFID)and related technologies such as near Field Communication(nFC)are becoming essential in industrial contexts thanks to their ability to perform contactless data exchange,either device-to-device or *** of the three main operation modes of nFC,called read/write mode,makes use of the latter type of *** is extensively used in business information systems that make use of nFC tags to provide the end-user with augmented information in one of several available nFC data exchange formats,such as plain text,simple URLs or enriched *** a wide variety of physical form factors,nFC-compatible tags(wireless transponders)are currently available in many locations with applications going from smart posters,contactless tokens,tap-and-go payments or transport ticketing to automated device configuration,patient identification at hospitals or inventory management within supply *** of these applications handle sensitive processes or *** paper proposes a complete security threat model for the read/write operation mode of nFC used in next Generation Industrial IoT(nx-IIoT)*** model,based on a wellknown methodology,STRIDE,allows developers and users to identify nFC applications vulnerabilities or weaknesses,analyze potential threats,propose risk management strategies,and design mitigation mechanisms to mention only some significant examples.

Sports have scored significant attention among the public in this multifaceted world. Diverse training strategies are followed by many athletics and even flexible to adapt comfortable and optimal techniques. This fact has led physicians and educators to encourage remote health surveillance as one of the core strategies in athletic training. The need for innovative data exploration methodologies capable of facing Big Data’s influence to make remote monitoring services viable has been raised by the growing ties of networks that deliver high quantities of real-time data. This paper presents an interactive healthcare data exploration and visualization(IHDEV) model to enhance multi-scaling data analysis and visualization in the athletic health vision platform. This paper aims to simplify optimization methods to measure sportsperson muscle tension. This model illustrates a three-layer architecture with a raw data acquisition layer, data analysis layer, and visualization layer. The first layer considers the acquisition of health-related data from the athletes for remote monitoring using IoT and stores it into the cloud. The data analysis layer adapts artificial intelligence(AI) in data mining. The final layer introduces an intelligent interactive data visualization model assisted by a reactive workflow mechanism, enabling analysis and visualization solutions to be composed in a personalized data flow appropriate to the athletic training. This experimental study extended with two healthcare datasets to show the feasibility of IHDEV in promoting healthcare based athletic monitoring and improves the accuracy ratio of 96.7%, prediction ratio of 96.2%, an efficiency ratio of 96.8%, Pearson correlation coefficient of 98.2%, and reduces the error rate of 18.7% compared to other conventional models.

The images capture in a bad environment usually loses its fidelity and *** the light rays travel towards its destination they get scattered several times due to the tiny particles of fog and pollutants in the environment,therefore the energy gets lost due to multiple scattering till it arrives its destination,and this degrades the *** the images taken in bad weather appear in bad ***,single image haze removal is quite a bit tough *** research has been done in the haze removal algorithm but in all the techniques,the coefficient of scattering is taken as a constant according to the homogeneous atmosphere but in real time this does not ***,this paper introduces a simple and efficient method so that the scattering coefficient becomes variable according to the inhomogeneous ***,this research aims to remove the haze with the help of a fast and effective algorithm i.e.,Prior Color Fading,according to the inhomogeneous environmental ***,to filter the depth map,the authors used a weighted guided image filtering which removes the drawbacks of guided image *** the scattering coefficient is made variable according to the inhomogeneous atmosphere and then the Simple Color Balance Algorithm is applied so that the readability property of images can be *** proposed method tested on various general outdoor images and synthetic hazy images and analyzed on various parameters Mean Square Error(MSE),Root Mean Square Error(RMSE),Peak Signal to noise Ratio(PSnR),Mean Structural Similarity(MSSIM)and the Universal Objective Quality Index(UQI).Experimental results for the proposed method show that the proposed approach provides better results as compared to the state-of-the-art haze removal algorithms.

An experimental system for dielectronic recombination was set-up on H-EBIT in order to carry out dielectronic recombination study. Some preliminary results of He-like Ge32+ and Cu27+ are obtained. Space charge shift on determination of the resonance position for Ge32+ at 100 mA is around 18% and that for Cu27+ is around 38%. Further analysis of experimental data is in progress.

Additive manufacturing has enabled the design of thermoplastic components that provide structural support,electrical conductivity and heat generation modulated by mechanical *** mechanisms and interplays that govern the material response at the microstructural level remain,however,***,we develop an experimental method to characterise conductive filaments from a combined mechanical,electrical and thermal *** approach is used to unravel exciting material interplays of conductive polylactic *** overcome experimental limitations that prevent a complete microstructural analysis of the problem,we develop a full-field homogenisation framework and implement it for finite *** framework accounts for viscoplasticity,electrical and thermal conduction,convection and heat generation via Joule effect,as well as for the interdependences between *** experimental validation,the framework is applied to virtually optimise fabrication requirements to obtain desired properties in final products,i.e.,stiffer products,filaments with higher conductivities or with better sensing capabilities.

Indirect determination of shear wave velocity in slow formations using full-wave sonic logging technique

This article presents a case study concerning a seismic characterization ***-wave sonic logging was used to characterize the shallow compressional wave and shear wave velocity profiles in the *** values of the Poisson’s ratio derived from the velocity profiles suggested that the boreholes might have traversed slow formations(*** shear wave velocity smaller than the borehole fluid compressional wave velocity or“mud-wave speed”)and that conventional processing of the sonic logs might have misinterpreted the direct arrivals of fluid acoustic waves as arrivals caused by shear wave propagation in the ***,the shear wave velocity profiles provided by the contractor were considered to be unreliable by the project *** address these problems,a non-conventional determination of the shear wave velocity was implemented,based on the relationship between the Poisson’s ratio of the rock formation and the shape of the first train of sonic waves which arrived to the receivers in the sonic *** relationship was determined based on several hundreds of finite element simulations of the acoustic wave propagation in boreholes with the same diameter as used in the *** present article describes how this non-conventional approach was developed and implemented to obtain the shear wave velocity profiles from the raw sonic *** approach allows an extension of the range of applicability of full-wave sonic logging to determination of shear wave velocity profiles in formations with low compressional wave *** method could be used to obtain shear wave velocity profiles where compressional wave velocity is as low as slightly larger than the mud-wave speed.A sample sonic log in Log ASCII Standard(LAS)format is provided as supplementary material to this paper via Mendeley Data,together with the FORTRAn source code used to process the log following the approach described in this study.

The study of disaster-specific leadership of female university students has been largely neglected,especially during on-campus emergency eviction and *** on the COVID-19-triggered,on-campus evictions across Canada and the United States,this cross-national partnership examined the out-of-province/state and international female university students’leadership during the entire eviction *** in-depth interviews,this study revealed the female university students’leadership behaviors during three stages:(1)pre-eviction:their self-preparedness formed an emotional foundation to support others;(2)peri-eviction:their attitude and leadership behavior enabled them to facilitate(psychologically and physically)their peers’eviction process;and(3)post-eviction:they continued to support their peers virtually and raised the general public’s awareness regarding the plight of vulnerable and marginalized *** article argues that the female university students’leadership that emerged during the eviction process became complementary to and even augmented the universities’official efforts and *** leadership represents empirical evidence that contributes to the existing literature on gender and leadership by demonstrating female youth as empowered stakeholders rather than as merely passive *** studies could develop detailed stratification of gender and age dimensions in order to portray a more comprehensive picture of the younger generation’s leadership in hazards and disaster research and practice.

AIM：To compare the effect of phacoemulsification on intraocular pressure（IOP）in patients with primary open angle glaucoma（POAG）and pseudoexfoliation glaucoma（PXG）.METHODS：A retrospective comparative case series conducted at the Glaucoma Department at the Association to Prevent Blindness in *** study enrolled consecutive patients having phacoemulsification with intraocular lens（IOL）implantation and a diagnosis of POAG or *** about IOP values and number of glaucoma medications used was collected at baseline,1,3,6 and12mo ***：The study enrolled 88 patients（88 eyes）.After phacoemulsification,there was a statistically significant reduction in IOP values and glaucoma medications use compared to baseline in both POAG and PXG patients（P〈0.001）.In the POAG group,a 20%decrease in IOP values was evidenced,and a 56.5%reduction in the number of medications used at the one-year *** PXG group showed a 20.39%,and a 34.46%decrease in IOP and number of medications used,respectively.A significant difference in the meanΔIOP（postoperative changes in IOP）was evidenced between groups（P=0.005）.The reduction of the postsurgical IOP mean values in both groups,the POAG group showed a greater reduction in IOP values compared to the PXG ***：In both types of glaucoma,phacoemulsification cataract surgery can result in a significant IOP reduction（20%）over a 12mo follow-up *** number of medications used is also significantly reduced up to 12mo after surgery,especially in the PXG group.
