Eco-friendly calcium alginate microspheres enable enhanced profile control and oil displacement

Polymer microspheres(PMs),such as polyacrylamide,have been widely applied for enhanced oil recovery(EOR),yet with environmental ***,we report a microfluid displacement technology containing a bio-based eco-friendly material,i.e.,calcium alginate(CaAlg)microspheres for *** dominant mechanisms responsible for EOR over Ca Alg fluid have been verified,including the microscopic oil displacement efficacy augmented by regulating capillary force(determined by the joint action of interfacial tension and wettability between different phases)and macroscopic sweep volume increment through profile control and mobility ratio *** comprehensive effectiveness can be further impacted when the CaAlg microsphere is embellished ulteriorly by using appropriate amount of sodium dodecyl sulfonate(SDS).The core flooding and nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR)tests demonstrate that CaAlg-SDS microsphere can balance the interphase property regulation(wettability alteration and IFT reduction)and rheology properties,enabling simultaneous profile control and oil *** introduction of SDS will have a negative impact on rheological properties,which is not favored for *** results show that the involvement of 4-m M SDS will provide the best behavior,with an EOR rate of 34.38%.This cost-effective and environmentally-friendly bio-microspherebased microfluidic displacement technology is expected to achieve“green”oil recovery in future oilfield exploitation.

Theoretical Investigation of Detailed Thermodynamic Character of Possible Difunctional Adducts Model

The B3LYP/6-31G^＊ level of theory was used to optimize trans-[Pt（NH3）（Am）G-L], where Am = quinoline or thiazole and L is chosen as the model for functional groups of peptide side chains, and for adenine and guanine sites of DNA as the ultimate target of platinum anticancer drugs. Bond dissociating energy and stability energy of complexes are chosen to study detailedly thermodynamic character of possible difunctional adducts model. In order to investigate the influence of a polarizable environment on the energy of the Pt-L bond formation, we adopt a new bonding energy formula brought forward by lippard and his coworkers： △H（Sol） = △H（SCF）＋ △G（Solv）, which is quite appropriate to compare with what is found in experimental studies. Our calculated results demonstrate that N-containing ligands are more favored in view of thermodynamics both in gas phrase and in solution. However, it is worthly to be noted that addition of solvation free energies result in moderate correction of bonding energy in relative ordering, and the largest ones both present in imidazole ligand, not in guanine ligand. Finally, the nature of bond is analyzed in terms of partial charges distribution based on NBO population.

FINITE PROXIMATE METHOD FOR CONVECTION-DIFFUSION EQUATION

A finite proximate method was presented to solve the convection-diffusion equation in curvilinear grids. The method has characteristics of automatic upwind effect and the good stability. It was verified through exact solution and other calculation results of two-dimensional dam-break flow in a frictionless, horizontal channel. The calculation results are in good agreement with the exact solution and other calculation results, which show that the finite proximate method can be applied to solve the convection-diffusion equation directly not only in the rectangular grids, but also in the curvilinear grids.

Electron localization of linear symmetric molecular ion H3-(2＋)

Electron localization in the dissociation of the symmetric linear molecular ion H3-（2＋） is investigated. The numerical simulation shows that the electron localization distribution is dependent on the central frequency and peak electric field amplitude of the external ultrashort ultraviolet laser pulse. When the electrons of the ground state are excited onto the 2pσ-2Σu-＋ by a one-photon process, most electrons of the dissociation states are localized at the protons on both sides symmetrically. Almost no electron is stabilized at the middle proton due to the odd symmetry of the wave function. With the increase of the frequency of the external ultraviolet laser pulse, the electron localization ratio of the middle proton increases, for more electrons of the ground state are excited onto the higher 3pσ-2Σu-＋ ustate. 50.9% electrons of all the dissociation events can be captured by the middle Coulomb potential well through optimizing the central frequency and peak electric field amplitude of the ultraviolet laser pulse. Besides, a direct current（DC） electric field can be utilized to control the electron motions of the dissociation states after the excitation of an ultraviolet laser pulse, and 68.8% electrons of the dissociation states can be controlled into the middle proton.

Spatiotemporal propagation dynamics of intense optical pulses in loosely confined gas-filled hollow-core fibers

We numerically study the propagation dynamics of intense optical pulses in gas-filled hollow-core fibers（HCFs）. The spatiotemporal dynamics of the pulses show a transition from tightly confined to loosely confined characteristics as the fiber core is increased, which manifests as a deterioration in the spatiotemporal uniformity of the beam. It is found that using the gas pressure gradient does not enhance the beam quality in large-core HCFs, while inducing a positive chirp in the pulse to lower the peak power can improve the beam quality. This indicates that the self-focusing effect in the HCFs is the main driving force for the propagation dynamics. It also suggests that pulses at longer wavelengths are more suitable for HCFs with large cores because of the lower critical power of self-focusing, which is justified by the numerical simulations. These results will benefit the generation of energetic few-cycle pulses in large-core HCFs.

Generation of few-cycle radially-polarized infrared pulses in a gas-filled hollow-core fiber

We perform a numerical study for temporally compressing radially-polarized（RP） infrared pulses in a gas-filled hollow-core fiber（HCF）. The dynamic transmission and nonlinear compression of RP pulses centered at wavelengths of0.8 m, 1.8 m, 3.1 m, and 5.0 m in HCFs are simulated. By comparing the propagation of pulses with the same optical cycles and intensity, we find that under proper conditions these pulses can be compressed down to 2–3 cycles. In the transverse direction, the spatiotemporal beam profile ameliorates from 0.8-m to 1.8-m and 3.1-m pulses before the appearance of high-order dispersion. These results show an alternative method of scaling generation for delivering RP infrared pulses in gas-filled HCFs, which can obtain energetic few-cycle pulses, and will be beneficial for relevant researches in the infrared scope.

Owing to the unique features,such as mechanically robust,low-toxic,high stability,and high thermoelectric performance,CoSb_(3)-based skutterudite materials are among art-of-the state thermoelectric *** this work,we develop a facile in-situ method for the growth of well-crystallinity(Ag,Sn)co-doped CoSb_(3)thin *** preparation method can efficiently control the dopant concentration and distribution in the thin *** the density functional theory calculation and the experimental results suggest that Sn and Ag dopants trend to enter the lattice and preferentially fill interstitial ***,band structure calculation results suggest that the Fermi level moves into the conduction bands due to co-doping and eventually induces the increased electrical conductivity,which agrees with the optimization of carrier ***,an increase in the density of state after co-doping is responsible for the increased Seebeck *** a result,the power factors of(Ag,Sn)co-doped CoSb_(3)thin films are greatly enhanced,and the maximum power factor achieves over 0.3 m W m^(-1)K^(-2)at 623 K,which is almost two times than that of the un-doped CoSb_(3)*** microstructures,including Sb vacancies and Ag/Sn interstitial atoms as point defects,and a high density of lattice distortions coupled with nano-sized Ag-rich grains,lead to all scale phonon *** a result,a reduced thermal conductivity of~0.28 W m^(-1)K^(-1)and a maximum ZT of~0.52 at 623 K are obtained from(Ag,Sn)co-doped CoSb_(3)thin *** study indicates our facile in-situ growth can be used to develop high-performance dual doped CoSb_(3)thins.

目的分析安罗替尼与吉西他滨联合奥沙利铂(GEMOX)方案治疗晚期难治性卵巢癌的临床效果及对患者抑制血管内皮生长因子受体(VEGFR)、血小板衍生生长因子受体(PDGFR)、纤维母细胞生长因子受体(FGFR)及干细胞因子受体(c-Kit)的影响。方法选取2018年1月—2021年1月湖州市中心医院收治的晚期难治性卵巢癌患者81例为研究对象,根据治疗方案差异分为对照组(GEMOX方案,35例)和观察组(安罗替尼+GEMOX方案,46例)。3周为1个疗程,两组患者均治疗3个疗程后观察临床疗效、VEGFR、PDGFR、FGFR、c-Kit、肿瘤标志物、生存情况及毒性反应。结果观察组患者化疗后客观缓解率(ORR)、疾病控制率(DCR)均(39.13%、76.08%)明显高于对照组(17.14%、51.42%),差异均有统计学意义(χ^(2)=4.608、5.343,均P0.05)。结论安罗替尼联合GEMOX方案在晚期难治性卵巢癌中治疗效果可观,可抑制VEGFR、PDGFR、FGFR及c-Kit表达,降低肿瘤标志物水平,安全性较好。

Over the years,numerous geotechnical approaches have been implemented to mitigate the adverse effects of climate warming on various infrastructures in the permafrost region of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau(QTP),such as the Qinghai-Tibet Highway and Railway,and achieved the expected engineering ***,little attention has been given to whether the performance of these geotechnical approaches has changed during the ongoing process of climate *** investigate the performance variation of one of these geotechnical approaches,which is two-phase closed thermosyphon(TPCT),during sustained climate warming,we conducted a statistical analysis of soil temperature monitoring data in 2003-2020 from eight regular embankments and six TPCT embankments in our permafrost monitoring *** results indicate that TPCT undeniably has a cooling effect on the permafrost beneath embankments,even rapidly eliminated previously formed taliks beneath ***,further analysis reveals that the performance of TPCT has been weakening during sustained climate warming,which has confirmed by the re-forming of the taliks beneath embankment where they had been previously *** on the current understanding,we attributed the weakening of thermosyphon performance to a significant reduction in the air temperature freezing index caused by ongoing climate *** this study,we aimed to draw attention to the evolving performance of geotechnical approaches in permafrost regions amid climate warming,prompting necessary engineering innovations to address this situation and ensure the sustainable development of the permafrost region on the QTP.
