背景：接受非心脏手术的老年患者出现红细胞压积异常和心血管并发症的危险较高。尽管患者术前几乎都要进行红细胞压积筛查，但是有关术前贫血及红细胞增多症的不良影响的证据较为有限。目的：于实施非心脏大手术的退伍老兵中评估术前贫血和红细胞增多症的发生率及其对术后30天预后的影响。设计：利用全国退伍军人事务委员会（VA）于术质量改进计划数据库进行回顾性队列研究。根据术前红细胞压积水平将患者分为三类：贫血（红细胞压积〈39．0％）、正常（红细胞压积39．0％～53．9％）和红细胞增多症（红细胞压积≥54％）。对红细胞压积异常与术后30天心血管事件发生率及死亡率的关系进行评估。地点及患者：纳入1997至2004年于全美132个退伍军人医疗中心接受非心脏大手术的310311例患者（年龄≥65岁）。主要观测指标：主要观测指标为术后30天死亡率，次要观测指标包括术后30天死亡率或心脏事件（心脏骤停或Q波心肌梗死）发生率。结果：与红细胞压积正常者相比，红细胞压积发生正向或负向偏离者术后30天死亡率和心脏事件发生率均有所增加。研究发现，红细胞压积水平较正常范围每增减1个百分点，术后30天死亡率就可增加1．6％（95％可信区间，1．1％-2．2％）。进一步分析显示，当红细胞压积降至39％以下或超过51％时，校正后30天死亡风险和心脏病患病风险就开始增加。结论：接受非心脏大手术的老年患者（绝大多数为男性退伍军人）术前轻度贫血及红细胞增多症均可增加术后发生死亡和心脏事件的危险。今后的研究应明确上述发现可否见于其他人群，明确术前纠正贫血和红细胞增多症能否降低术后死亡风险。

Steel Surface Defect Detection Using Learnable m.m.ry Vision Transform.r

Nowadays,traditional energy resources are going into a vulnerable condition *** that note biogas is an em.rging subsidiary ***,cow-dung is used as a basic raw m.terial to produce *** this study,various form. of putrescible waste like kitchen and vegetable waste were giving em.hasis to produce biogas as a replacem.nt of cow dung as well as good m.nagem.nt of putrescible waste.2000 kg of kitchen and 1050 kg of vegetable waste were used in a biogas plant continuously for 15 days with a waste/water ratio of 1:*** 133.33 kg of kitchen and 70 kg of vegetable waste generated 2.27 kg and 1.17 kg of biogas per day ***,the average tim. of burning of biogas for kitchen and vegetable waste was 7.92 *** 4.08 *** day in som. *** benefit-cost ratio was greater than 1 for both cases that’s why it can be reckoned as an efficacious *** Integrated m.ving Average(ARIm.)m.del was perform.d to forecast the am.unt of biogas generation for kitchen and vegetable waste for the next 10 *** residual sum.of square(RSS)value of the ARIm. m.del for kitchen and vegetable waste was 0.028437 and 0.139524 respectively which indicates ***,predictions of the am.unt of biogas generation are plotted with a 95%confidence *** forecast indicates that biogas from.kitchen waste is m.re proficient than vegetable waste for the next 10 ***,this putrescible waste can be a prom.nent raw m.terial for next-gen biogas production.

Active Force with Fuzzy Logic Control of a Two-Link Arm.Driven by Pneum.tic Artificial m.scles

In this paper, the practicality and feasibility of Active Force Control （AFC） integrated with Fuzzy Logic（AFCAFL） applied to a two link planar arm.actuated by a pair of Pneum.tic Artificial m.scle （PAm. is investigated. The study em.hasizes on the application and control of PAm.actuators which m.y be considered as the new generation of actuators com.rising fluidic m.scle that has high-tension force, high power to weight ratio and high strength in spite of its drawbacks in the form.of high nonlinearity behaviour, high hysteresis and tim. varying param.ters. Fuzzy Logic （FL） is used as a technique to estim.te the best value of the inertia m.trix of robot arm.essential for the AFC m.chanism.that is com.lem.nted with a conventional Propor- tional-Integral-Derivative （PID） control at the outerm.st loop. A sim.lation study was first perform.d followed by an experi- m.ntal investigation for validation. The experim.ntal study was based on the independent joint tracking control and coordinated m.tion control of the arm.in Cartesian or task space. In the form.r, the PAm.actuated arm.is com.anded to track the prescribed trajectories due to harm.nic excitations at the joints for a given frequency, whereas for the latter, two sets of trajectories with different loadings were considered. A practical rig utilizing a Hardware-In-The-Loop Sim.lation （HILS） configuration was developed and a num.er of experim.nts were carried out. The results of the experim.nt and the sim.lation works were in good agreem.nt, which verified the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed AFCAFL schem. actuated by PAm.

This paper presents the developm.nt of dynam.c sim.lation of a flexible plate structure with various boundary conditions. A flexible square plate is considered. A finite-difference m.thod is used to discretise the governing partial differential equation form.lation describing its dynam.c behaviour. The m.del thus developed has been validated against characteristic param.ters of the plate. The m.del thus developed is further form.lated using discrete state-space representation, to allow easy and fast im.lem.ntation for sim.lating the dynam.c behaviour of the plate with various boundary conditions. The sim.lation algorithm.thus developed is validated, and accurate results with representation of the first five m.des of vibration of the plate have been achieved. The algorithm.thus developed is used in subsequent research work as a platform.for developm.nt and verification of suitable control strategies for vibration suppression of flexible plate structures.

Effects on prey-predator with different functional responses

In this paper, we investigate the effects on prey of two predators which are also related in term. of prey-predator relationship. Different types of functional responses are con- sidered to form.late the m.them.tical m.del for predator and generalist predator of our proposed m.del. Harvesting effort for the generalist predator is considered and the density-dependent m.rtality rate for predator and generalist predator is incorporated in our proposed m.del. Local stability as well as global stability for the system.is dis- cussed. We analyze the different bifurcation param.ters to evaluate Hopf bifurcation in the neighborhood of interior equilibrium.point. Finally, som. num.rical sim.lations and graphical figures are provided to verify our analytical results with the help of different sets of param.ters.

Efficient rem.val of heavy m.tals from.electroplating wastewater using polym.r ligands

Poly（hydroxam.c acid）-poly（am.doxim.） che- lating ligands were synthesized from.poly（m.thyl acrylate-co-acrylonitrile） grafted acacia cellulose for rem.ving toxic m.tal ions from.industrial wastewaters. These ligands showed higher adsorption capacity to copper （2.80 m.ol. g-l） at pH 6. In addition, sorption capacities to other m.tal ions such as iron, zinc, chrom.um. and nickel were also found high at pH 6. The m.tal ions sorption rate （tl/2） was very fast. The rate of adsorption of copper, iron, zinc, chrom.um. nickel, cobalt, cadm.um.and lead were 4, 5, 7, 5, 5, 8, 9 and 11 m.n, respectively. Therefore, these ligands have an advantage to the m.tal ions rem.val using the colum. technique. We have successfully investigated the known concentration of m.tal ions using various param.ters, which is essential for designing a fixed bed colum. with ligands. The wastewater from.electroplating plants used in this study, having chrom.um. zinc, nickel, copper and iron, etc. For chrom.um.wastewater, ICP analysis showed that the Cr rem.val was 99.8% and other m.tal ions such as Cu, Ni, Fe, Zn, Cd, Pb, Co and m. rem.val were 94.7%, 99.2%, 99.9%, 99.9%, 99.5%, 99.9%, 95.6% and 97.6%, respectively. In case of cyanide wastewater, the m.tal rem.val, especially Ni and Zn rem.val were 96.5 and 95.2% at higher initial concentra- tion. For acid/alkali wastewater, m.tal ions rem.ving for Cd, Cr and Fe were 99.2%, 99.5% and 99.9%, respectively. Overall, these ligands are useful for m.tal rem.val by colum. m.thod from.industrial wastewater especially plating wastewater.

Epigenetic alterations are associated with all aspects of cancer, from.tum.r initiation to cancer progression and m.tastasis. It is now well understood that both losses and gains of DNA m.thylation as well as altered chro- m.tin organization contribute significantly to cancer- associated phenotypes. m.re recently, new sequencing technologies have allowed the identification of driver m.tations in epigenetic regulators, providing a m.cha- nistic link between the cancer epigenom. and genetic alterations. Oncogenic activating m.tations are now known to occur in a num.er of epigenetic m.difiers （i.e. IDHll2, EZH2, DNm.3A）, pinpointing epigenetic path- ways that are involved in tum.rigenesis. Sim.larly, investigations into the role of inactivating m.tations in chrom.tin m.difiers （i.e. KDm.A, CREBBPIEP300, Sm.RCB1） im.licate m.ny of these genes as tum.r suppressors. Intriguingly, a num.er of neoplasm. are defined by a plethora of m.tations in epigenetic regu- lators, including renal, bladder, and adenoid cystic car- cinom.s. Particularly striking is the discovery of frequent histone H3.3 m.tations in pediatric gliom., a particularly aggressive neoplasm.that has long rem.ined poorly understood. Cancer epigenetics is a relatively new, prom.sing frontier with m.ch potential for im.roving cancer outcom.s. Already, therapies such as 5-azacytidine and decitabine have proven that targeting epigenetic alterations in cancer can lead to tangible benefits. Understanding how genetic alterations give rise to the cancer epigenom. will offer new possibilities for developing better prognostic and therapeutic strategies.

Quasi-inverse Pendulum.m.del of 12 DoF Bipedal Walking

This paper presents m.deling of a 12-degree of freedom.（DoF） bipedal robot, focusing on the lower lim.s of the system. and trajectory design for walking on straight path. Gait trajectories are designed by m.deling of center of m.ss （Com. trajectory and swing foot ankle trajectory based on stance foot ankle. The dynam.c equations of m.tion of the bipedal robot are derived by considering the system.as a quasi inverted pendulm. （QIP） m.del. The direction and acceleration of Com.m.vem.nt of the QIP m.del is determ.ned by the position of Com.relative to the centre of pressure （COP）. To determ.ne heel-contact and toe-off, two custom.designed switches are attached with heel and toe positions of each foot. Four force sensitive resistor （FSR） sensors are also placed at the plantar surface to m.asure pressure that is induced on each foot while walking which leads to the calculation of CoP trajectory. The paper also describes forward kinem.tic （FIK） and inverse kinem.tic （IK） investigations of the biped m.del where Denavit-Hartenberg （D-H） representation and Geom.tric-Trigonom.tric （G-T） form.lation approach are applied. Experim.nts are carried out to ensure the reliability of the proposed m.del where the links of the bipedal system.follow the best possible trajectories while walking on straight path.
