The study was focused on edible mushrooms consumed by the ethnic inhabitants of Tripura,northeast *** mushrooms namely Lentinus squarrosulus,Lentinus tuber-regium and Macrocybe gigantea were evaluated quantitatively for proximate composition and mineral *** addition,the efficacy of the mycelial extract was tested for antimicrobial activity against the *** results of this study indicated that mushrooms were rich in protein and carbohydrate with low fat *** gigantea proved to the best source of protein and carbohydrate among the three *** were varied amount of micronutrients recorded in all the three *** antimicrobial activity of mycelial extract of *** was found against all the tested strains of *** study suggested that these mushrooms are rich in nutrients particularly *** which could be used as an alternative source of vegetarian food to the ethnic people of *** antimicrobial activity exhibited by these mushrooms indicated their medicinal properties.

The motion of baryonic components of the Milky Way is governed by both luminous and dark matter content of the ***,the dynamics of Milky Way globular clusters(GCs)can be used as tracers to infer the mass model of the Galaxy up to a large *** this work,we apply the directly observable line-of-sight velocities to test if the dynamics of the GC population are consistent with an assumed axisymmetric gravitational potential of the Milky *** this,we numerically compute the phase space distribution of the GC population where the orbits are either oriented randomly or co-/counter-rotating with respect to the stellar *** we compare the observed position and line-of-sight velocity distribution of^150 GCs with those of the *** found that,for the adopted mass model,the co-rotating scenario is the favored model based on various statistical *** do the analysis with and without the GCs associated with the progenitors of early merger *** analysis can be extended in the near future to include precise and copious data to better constrain the Galactic potential up to a large radius.

Optimal reactive power dispatch(ORPD)is a complex and non-linear problem,and is one of the sub-problems of optimal power flow(OPF)in a power *** is formulated as a single-objective problem to minimize the active power loss in a transmission *** this work,power from distributed generation(DG)is integrated into a conventional power system and the ORPD problem is solved to minimize transmission line power *** proves that the application of DG not only contributes to power loss minimization and improvement of system stability but also reduces energy consumption from the conventional sources.A recently proposed meta-heuristic algorithm known as the JAYA algorithm is applied to the standard IEEE 14,30,57 and 118 bus systems to solve the newly developed ORPD problem with the incorporation of *** simulation results prove the superiority of the JAYA algorithm over *** respective optimal values of DG power that should be injected into the four IEEE test systems to obtain the minimum transmission line power losses are also provided.

Cancer is one of those leading diseases worldwide, which takes millions of lives every year. Researchers are continuously looking for specific approaches to eradicate the deadly disease, ensuring minimal adverse effects along with more therapeutic significance. Targeting of different aberrantly regulated signaling pathways, involved in cancer, is surely one of the revolutionary chemotherapeutic approach. In this instance, GSK3 and PI3K signaling cascades are considered as important role player for both the oncogenic activation and inactivation which further leads to cancer proliferation and metastasis. In this review, we have discussed the potential role of GSK3 and PI3K signaling in cancer, and we further established the crosstalk between PI3K and GSK3 signaling, through showcasing their cross activation, cross inhibition and convergence pathways in association with cancer. We also exhibited the effect of GSK3 on the efficacy of PI3K inhibitors to overcome the drug resistance and preventing the cell proliferation, metastasis in a combinatorial way with GSK3 inhibitors for a better treatment strategy in clinical settings.

In the current work,molecular dynamics simulation is employed to understand the intrinsic growth of carbon dioxide and methane hydrate starting from a seed crystal of methane and carbon dioxide *** comparison was carried out because it has relevance to the recovery of methane gas from natural gas hydrate reservoirs by simultaneously sequestering a greenhouse gas like *** seed crystal of carbon dioxide and methane hydrate was allowed to grow from a super-saturated mixture of carbon dioxide or methane molecules in water *** different concentrations(1:6 and 1:8.5)of CO2/CH4 molecules per water molecule were chosen based on gas–water composition in hydrate *** molecular level growth as a function of time was investigated by all atomistic molecular dynamics simulation under suitable temperature and pressure range which was well above the hydrate stability zone to ensure significantly faster growth *** concentration of CO2 molecules in water played a significant role in growth kinetics,and it was observed that maximizing the CO2 concentration in the aqueous phase may not result in faster growth of CO2 *** the contrary,methane hydrate growth was independent of methane molecule concentration in the aqueous *** have validated our results by performing experimental work on carbon dioxide hydrate where it was seen that under conditions appropriate for liquid CO2,the growth for carbon dioxide hydrate was very slow in the beginning.

The present work attributes the role of boron on the high strength steel submerged arc weld using an undermatching filler *** steel filler wire was used for welding in constant machine parameters setting to evaluate the joint strength due to the enrichment of *** change the chemical composition of the weld metal,boron trioxide powder was blended with virgin flux in various proportions(2.5%−12.5%),which led to an increase in boron weight percentage in the range of 0−*** results show that weld metals(WM)optical micrographs depict the various types of ferrites,pearlites and secondary phases like martensite-austenite(M-A).Acicular ferrite content was influenced by the boron trioxide *** affected zone(HAZ)micrographs were not showing appreciable changes with oxide *** and toughness of weld metals showed the mixed trend with B_(2)O_(3) enrichment whereas,small reduction in ultimate tensile strength(UTS)and yield strength(YS)was observed.

The benthic macroinvertebrate communities of two lotic aquatic habitats,namely,the Churni River(C-R)and the Jalangi River(J-R)were compared in this *** lotic aquatic system(C-R)was polluted by organic pollutants due to discharge of unprocessed sewage water,while the other(J-R)was not affected by such *** of various physico-chemical properties of water,sediment and different macroinvertebrate communities of the two tropical lotic systems were done in a period from January,2002 to December,2003.A long term temporal change in the macroinvertebrate communities was recorded due to increase in sediment rH *** redox potential affected by the anthropogenic activities was found to be an important factor for alteration of macroinvertebrate communities in these aquatic ecosystems.A positive correlation has been established between rH and Margalef index in this *** and the total count of coliform bacteria in water showed significantly higher values for the polluted Churni River than those for the Jalangi *** 3,Tab 4,Ref
