One of the least selected contents by teachers of physical education （PE） in high school is the combat sport. several authors have reported the neglect suffered by these activities in the spanish school environment, stating a number of social prejudices and beliefs that affect their selection in school, e.g., they are aggressive and dangerous. Fencing is usually not included for several reasons; lack of knowledge about sport, its complexity, the cost of practice materials, lack of teaching materials, and the limited researches. This paper presents the results of a survey of 106 PE teachers of Valencia （spain） in order to know what are the main causes that affect the non-selection of fencing as a sport in school, with emphasis on the lack of training and materials, both specific in fencing＇s learning.

This study highlights introducing the rare earth metal cerium(Ce(Ⅳ))into the structure of magnetite(Fe_(3)O_(4))to achieve enhanced adsorptive properties for the removal of chromium(Cr(Vi))from an aqueous *** ratios of Ce(Ⅳ)were introduced into the iron oxide matrix,termed FeCe-5,FeCe-10,and *** numerical values correspond to the nominal content of the dopant element added to the synthesis *** solid materials were characterized for morphology and chemical structure,and N_(2)physical adsorption/desorption measurements were *** solid materials doped with Ce(iV)have a high surface area compared to Fe_(3)O_(4),and the solid material with the highest content of the dopant ion(Ce(iV))has a 4-fold greater surface *** increase in the dopant content in the iron oxide structure leads to a total chromium removal of 93.3%.isotherms studies on the solid materials show that chromium adsorption follows the Langmuir *** adsorption capacity to Fe_(3)O_(4)is 12.59 mg/g and FeCe-10 is 22.49 mg/g at 35℃.By fitting the kinetic and isothermal models,it is found that for the Fe_(3)O_(4)and FeCe-10 materials Cr(Vi)removal occurs in very different ways,attributed to the different surface areas and compositions of the oxide,with the formation of the goethite(α-FeOOH)*** FeCe-10reuse process was performed and the removal capacity the Cr(Vi)is reduced after the first *** result is attributed to a strong and irreversible adsorption of Cr(Vi)on the FeCe-10.

Little is known about the wellbeing of young people living in post-soviet nation contexts such as Kazakhstan. The qualitative data reported represents the views of 309 Kazakhstani young people on their conceptualizations of wellbeing that fell broadly into three major thematic categories: external factors from one’s surroundings;relationships with others;and internal aspects of the self. The direct consequence of inadequate physical environment on health and the environment’s impact on psychological wellbeing through leisure, lifestyle, education, and employment opportunities were emphasized. Affirmative connections with others were associated with increased levels of emotional wellbeing. The importance of making independent choices as well as being actively involved in leisure, volunteering and extracurricular school activities for achieving optimal levels of wellbeing was highlighted.

Carbon nanomaterials offer excellent prospects as therapeutic agents,and among them,graphene quantum dots(GQDs)have gained considerable interest thanks to their aqueous solubility and intrinsic fluorescence,which enable their possible use in theranostic approaches,if their biocompatibility and favorable pharmacokinetic are *** prepared ultra-small GQDs using an alternative,reproducible,top-down synthesis starting from graphene oxide with a nearly 100%*** materials were tested to assess their safety,demonstrating good biocompatibility and ability in passing the ultrafiltration barrier using an in vitro *** leads to renal excretion without affecting the ***,we studied the GQDs in vivo biodistribution confirming their efficient renal clearance,and we demonstrated that the internalization mechanism into podocytes is ***,considering the reported characteristics,it appears possible to vehiculate compounds to kidneys by means of GQDs,overcoming problems related to lysosomal degradation.

AiM: To investigate the interrelationship between H pylori and Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection in the gastric carcinogenesis having in focus the p53 mutation and the c-Myc, Bcl-2 and Bax expression. METHODs: seventy-one gastric carcinoma tissues were assessed by polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for H pylori and in situ hybridization for EBV. c-Myc, Bcl-2 and Bax expression were detected by immunohistochemistry and single-stranded conformational polymorphism (ssCP) for p53 mutation. REsULTs: The positivity rates for H pylori and EBV were 94.4% and 8.45%, respectively. The majority of the cases displayed only the H pylori presence. All EBV positive cases were also H pylori positive. None infectious agent was observed in 5.55% of the cases. The intestinal type tumor was more frequent in the co-infected and non-infected groups. The female predominated in the non-infected group showing statistical significance (70.4% vs 29.6%, P=0.039). The Bcl-2 was only detected in the group exclusively infected by H pylori. However, c-Myc and Bax were detected in the three groups but with a low frequency in the co-infected group. Mutation of p53 was present in all groups, with the highest frequencies in the H pylori positive groups. CONCLUsiON: The frequency of H pylori infection in gastric carcinomas was high. The presented data indicated that gastric carcinogenesis has different pathways depending of the presence of the two investigated infectious agents, suggesting a possible involvement of H pylori with apoptotic process. The low expression of c-Myc and Bax in the EBV-positive groups suggests that EBV may inhibit the expression of these proteins. Nevertheless, p53 mutation shows to be a relevant alteration, independent of both infectious agents.

introduction: systemic Lupus Erythematosus (sLE) usually presents neuropsychiatric manifestations, such as psychosis, convulsion, mood disorder and chronic headache, with mood disorder being the most prevalent. it is also known that other psychiatric disorders and menstrual cycle disorders are frequent in sLE. The aim of this study was to describe for the first time the frequency of premenstrual dysphoric disorder in patients with sLE diagnosis, and its association with depression and anxiety. Material and Methods: An evaluation was made of 62 (sixty-two) patients with diagnosis of sLE, based on the American College of Rheumatology criteria, who received follow-up care at an ambulatory reference center. The patients were submitted to a sociodemographic evaluation questionnaire, upon which the Mini international Neuropsychiatric interview (MiNi PLUs), Brazilian Version 5.0.0, was used to evaluate the diagnosis. Results: Twenty (32%) patients were found to have premenstrual dysphoric disorder, and there was a statistically significant association with major depression (p = 0.010), but no statistical significance was found with dysthymia (p = 0.063) or anxiety (p = 0.223). Conclusions: The frequency of premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) in patients with sLE was high, as well as the frequency of major depression in this group. There was an association between these two disorders.

With increasing life expectancy,neurodegenerative diseases have become one of the leading causes of illhealth in the *** strategies include following healthy diets,such as the Mediterranean diet,which is particularly rich in polyphenols,bioactive compounds with neuroprotective *** aim of this study was to assess the association of microbial phenolic metabolites(MPM)with *** cross-sectional analysis was performed with 200 participants of the PREDiMED trial(Barcelona-Clinic recruitment center).A novel method based on liquid chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry was used to identify urinary MPM(protocatechuic acid,enterodiol glucuronide,enterolactone glucuronide,urolithin B glucuronide,and vanillic acid glucuronide),and cognitive function was evaluated with neuropsychological ***-adjusted ordinary least squares regression was used to assess the associations between cognitive function and MPM,and a score was calculated as the weighted sum of MPM.A higher MPM score was associated with better frontal lobe *** individual metabolites,vanillic acid glucuronide was correlated with frontal cognitive *** with higher concentrations of vanillic acid glucuronide and urolithin B glucuronide obtained better scores in the Color Trail Test part 2.A higher score for urinary multiMPM was associated with better frontal cognitive performance in an older Mediterranean population.

Effect of dephytinization on bioavailability of iron,calcium and zinc from infant cereals assessed in the Caco-2 cell model

AiM： To test the effect of the dephytinization of three different commercial infant cereals on iron, calcium, and zinc bioavailability by estimating the uptake, retention, and transport by Caco-2 cells. METHODs： Both dephytinized （by adding an exogenous phytase） and non-dephytinized infant cereals were digested using an in vitro digestion protocol adapted to the gastrointestinal conditions of infants younger than 6 too. Mineral cell retention, transport, and uptake from infant cereals were measured using the soluble fraction of the simulated digestion and the Caco-2 cells. REsULTs： Dephytinization of infant cereals significantly increased （P 〈 0.05） the cell uptake efficiency （from 0.66%-6.05% to 3.93%-13%）, retention （from 6.04%-16.68% to 14.75%-20.14%） and transport efficiency （from 0.14%-2.21% to 1.47%-6.02%）, of iron, and the uptake efficiency （from 5.0%-35.4% to 7.3%-41.6%） and retention （from 4.05%-20.53% to 14.45%-61.3%） of zinc, whereas calcium only cell uptake showed a significant increase （P 〈 0.05） after removing phytate from most of the samples analyzed. A positive relationship （P 〈 0.05） between mineral solubility and the cell uptake and transport efficiencies was observed. CONCLUsiON： Removing phytate from infant cereals had a beneficial effect on iron and zinc bioavailability when infant cereals were reconstituted with water. since in developing countries cereal-based complementary foods for infants are usually consumed mixed with water, exogenous phytase additions could improve the nutritional value of this weaning food.
