Insights into the seasonal characteristics of single particle aerosols in Chengdu based on SPAMS

To investigate the seasonal characteristics in air pollution in Chengdu,a single particle aerosol mass spectrometry was used to continuously observe atmospheric fine particulate matter during one-month periods in summer and winter,*** results showed that,apart from O_(3),the concentrations of other pollutants(CO,NO_(2),SO_(2),PM_(2.5)and PM_(10))were significantly higher in winter than in *** single particle aerosols were divided into seven categories:biomass burning(BB),coal combustion(CC),Dust,vehicle emission(VE),K mixedwith nitrate(K-NO_(3)),Kmixed with sulfate and nitrate(K-SN),and K mixedwith sulfate(K-SO_(4))*** highest contributions in both seasons were VE particles(24%).The higher contributions of K-SO_(4)(16%)and K-NO_(3)(10%)particles occurred in summer and winter,respectively,as a result of their different formation mechanisms.S-containing(KSO_(4)and K-SN),VE,and BB particles caused the evolution of pollution in both seasons,and they can be considered as targets for future pollution *** mixing of primary sources particles(VE,Dust,CC,and BB)with secondary components was stronger in winter than in *** summer,as pollution worsens,the mixing of primary sources particles with 62[NO_(3)]−weakened,but themixing with 97[HSO_(4)]−***,in winter,the mixing state of particles did not exhibit an obvious evolution *** potential source areas in summer were mainly distributed in the southern region of Sichuan,while in winter,besides the southern region,the contribution of the western region cannot be ignored.

Scaled non-passive environmental interaction force tracking for telerobotic manufacturing system with variable time delay

Robot teleoperation plays an important role in industrial manufacturing in unknown and dangerous environments beyond human reach. In telerobotic manufacturing tasks, environmental interaction forces may vary significantly from task to ***, it is crucial to provide operators with the specific proportional feedback of environmental interaction forces to enhance their environmental awareness and manipulation capabilities. However, variable time delays and various scales of environmental interaction force feedback seriously affect the system stability, which should be rigorously addressed when designing control parameters. To cope with these difficulties, a position and scaled force tracking control framework is proposed and the LyapunovKrasovskii theory is used to obtain a simple algebraic stability criterion with the scaling factor of the environmental interaction force feedback. In addition, a low-pass filter-based radial basis function neural network is designed to avoid the effect of the measurement noise and the sudden change of the non-passive environmental interaction force on the system stability. Compared with different controllers in various telerobotic manufacturing tasks such as heavy lifting, cutting, and polishing, our proposed method achieves better position and scaled force tracking performance.

Saline-alkaline soils are a major environmental problem that limit plant growth and crop *** membrane H^(+)-ATPases and the salt overly sensitive(SOS)signaling pathway play important roles in plant responses to saline-alkali ***,little is known about the functional genes and mechanisms regulating the transcription of H^(+)-ATPases and SOS pathway genes under saline–alkali *** the present study,we identified that the plant AT-rich sequence and zinc-binding(TaPLATZ2)transcription factor are involved in wheat response to saline-alkali stress by directly suppressing the expression of TaHA2/*** knockdown of TaPLATZ2 enhances salt and alkali stress tolerance,while overexpression of TaPLATZ2 leads to salt and alkali stress sensitivity in *** addition,TaWRKY55 directly upregulated the expression of TaPLATZ2 during saline-alkali *** knockdown and overexpression of Ta WRKY55 in wheat,Ta WRKY55 was shown to negatively modulate salt and alkali stress *** analyses confirmed that Ta PLATZ2 functions downstream of Ta WRKY55 in response to salt and alkaline *** findings provide a TaWRKY55–TaPLATZ2–TaHA2/TaSOS3 regulatory module that regulates wheat responses to saline-alkali stress.

Membrane electrode assembly(MEA)is widely considered to be the most promising type of electrolyzer for the practical application of electrochemical CO_(2) reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR).In MEAs,a square-shaped cross-section in the flow channel is normally adopted,the configuration optimization of which could potentially enhance the performance of the *** paper describes the numerical simulation study on the impact of the flow-channel cross-section shapes in the MEA electrolyzer for CO_(2)*** results show that wide flow channels with low heights are beneficial to the CO_(2)RR by providing a uniform flow field of CO_(2),especially at high current ***,the larger the electrolyzer,the more significant the effect *** study provides a theoretical basis for the design of high-performance MEA electrolyzers for CO_(2)RR.

BEV-Locator:an end-to-end visual semantic localization network using multi-view images

Accurate localization ability is fundamental in autonomous driving. Traditional visual localization frameworks approach the semantic map-matching problem with geometric models, which rely on complex parameter tuning and thus hinder large-scale deployment. In this paper, we propose BEV-Locator: an end-to-end visual semantic localization neural network using multi-view camera images. Specifically, a visual BEV(bird-eye-view) encoder extracts and flattens the multi-view images into BEV space. While the semantic map features are structurally embedded as map query sequences. Then a cross-model transformer associates the BEV features and semantic map queries. The localization information of ego-car is recursively queried out by cross-attention modules. Finally, the ego pose can be inferred by decoding the transformer outputs. This end-to-end model speaks to its broad applicability across different driving environments, including high-speed scenarios. We evaluate the proposed method in large-scale nuScenes and Qcraft datasets. The experimental results show that the BEV-Locator is capable of estimating the vehicle poses under versatile scenarios, which effectively associates the cross-model information from multi-view images and global semantic maps. The experiments report satisfactory accuracy with mean absolute errors of 0.052 m, 0.135 m and 0.251° in lateral, longitudinal translation and heading angle degree.

Insight into catalytic performance and reaction mechanism for toluene total oxidation over Cu-Ce supported catalyst

Herein,three supported catalysts,CuO/Al_(2)O_(3),CeO_(2)/Al_(2)O_(3),and CuO-CeO_(2)/Al_(2)O_(3),were synthesized by the convenient impregnation method to reveal the effect of CeO_(2)addition on catalytic performance and reaction mechanism for toluene *** with CuO/Al_(2)O_(3),the T_(50)and T_(90)(the temperatures at 50%and 90%toluene conversion,respectively)of CuO-CeO_(2)/Al_(2)O_(3)were reduced by 33 and 39°C,respectively.N_(2)adsorptiondesorption experiment,XRD,SEM,EDS mapping,Raman,EPR,H_(2)-TPR,O_(2)-TPD,XPS,NH_(3)-TPD,Toluene-TPD,and in-situ DRIFTS were conducted to characterize these *** excellent catalytic performance of CuO-CeO_(2)/Al_(2)O_(3)could be attributed to its strong coppercerium interaction and high oxygen vacancies ***,in-situ DRIFTS proved that CuO-CeO_(2)/Al_(2)O_(3)promoted the conversion of toluene to benzoate and accelerated the deep degradation path of *** work provided valuable insights into the development of efficient and economical catalysts for volatile organic compounds.

Tribo-piezoelectric hybrid nanogenerator based on temporary solution template process

In this study,a friction piezoelectric hybrid nanogenerator(HNG)with a sponge-like structure was developed.A novel temporary solution template process was proposed to create smaller,uniformly distributed pores within the sponge structure,allowing for the complete volatilization of the porous agent without causing structural *** output voltage of the porous HNG structure was nearly twice that of its solid structure,demonstrating superior electrical output performance.A peak-to-peak open circuit voltage of 168 V,a short circuit current density of 36.41μA cm^(-2),and a maximum power density of 32 W m^(-2) were obtained at a load resistance of 200 MΩ by periodically compressing an HNG with a dimension of 0.8 cm×0.8 *** generated electricity was sufficient to directly illuminate 180 tandem white LEDs and power small electronic *** addition,this study shows that the HNG could detect electrical signals from different parts of the human body during movement,suggesting significant potential for applications in energy harvesting and motion sensing.

Controlling segregation and hardenability of gear steel based on as-cast structure

Hardenability significantly impacts the distortion of gear during heat treatment,correlated to the uniformity of solute distribution in steel *** experimental analysis was conducted on the macrostructure,solute distribution,dendrite structure,and rod hardenability of 20CrMnTiH gear steel in continuously cast blooms and hot roller *** evaluation approach by the standards for the hardenability of gear steel rods and the corresponding blooms was analyzed,and the inheritance mechanism from solidification segregation to hardenability fluctuation of gear steel was *** results indicate that semi-macroscopic spot segregation located in the equiaxed zone exhibits larger size,higher solute enrichment,and worse solute homogeneity,leading to significant solute fluctuations in the blooms and hardenability fluctuation in the *** increasing the liquid steel superheat from 35 to 40℃,reducing the mold electromagnetic stirring from 300 to 100 A,and implementing the soft reduction(SR)of 7 mm at the solidification end,the equiaxed ratio of the strand decreased from 26.42%to 6.69%.Consequently,the solute fluctuation range and standard deviation decrease significantly in the transverse section,while the maximum segregation ratio,average fluctuation range,and average standard deviation of solutes C,Cr,and Mn in the spot segregation decrease at the same *** the meanwhile,the equiaxed ratio of the rod decreased from 24.89%to 4.09%,and the structure of the hardenability detection zone was transformed from equiaxed crystals to columnar ***,the solute fluctuation range and standard deviation in the transverse section decreased,while the homogeneity in spot segregation was also *** hardness difference of A and B surfaces at J9 and J15 positions was smaller than 2 HRC,meeting the qualification standard for hardenability.

An Efficient and Flexible Bifunctional Dual-Band Electrochromic Device Integrating with Energy Storage

Dual-band electrochromic devices capable of the spectral-selective modulation of visible(VIS)light and near-infrared(NIR)can notably reduce the energy consumption of buildings and improve the occupants’visual and thermal ***,the low optical modulation and poor durability of these devices severely limit its practical ***,we demonstrate an efficient and flexible bifunctional dual-band electrochromic device which not only shows excellent spectral-selective electrochromic performance with a high optical modulation and a long cycle life,but also displays a high capacitance and a high energy recycling efficiency of 51.4%,integrating energy-saving with *** nanowires structure and abundant oxygen-vacancies of oxygen-deficient tungsten oxide nanowires endows it high flexibility and a high optical modulation of 73.1%and 85.3%at 633 and 1200 nm *** prototype device assembled can modulate the VIS light and NIR independently and effectively through three distinct modes with a long cycle life(3.3%capacity loss after 10,000 cycles)and a high energy-saving performance(8.8℃lower than the common glass).Furthermore,simulations also demonstrate that our device outperforms the commercial low-emissivity glass in terms of energy-saving in most climatic zones around the *** windows represent an intriguing potential technology to improve the building energy efficiency.
