Cytisine N-methylene-(5，7，4’-trihydroxy)-isoflavone induces neural stem cell proliferation and reverses cognitive deficits in early Alzheimer's disease models via canonical Wnt/β-catenin pathway

Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is a degenerative disease of the central nervous system. It results in cognitive dysfunction due to the loss of functional neurons and a deficit of new neurons， which can lead to death in severe cases. Repairing damaged neurons by promoting hippocampal neurogenesis has become therapeutic modality to combat neurodegenerative diseases. The novel isoflavone alkaloid LY01， found in the edible fruits of Sophora alopecuroides L.， has various neuroprotective effects. However， the molecular mechanism by which it promotes the proliferation of endogenous neural stem cells (NSCs) is not yet precisely known. The effects of LY01 were investigated in vivo and in vitro. In vivo experiments showed that LY01 could counteract the toxic damage of Aβ， enhance the learning ability and memory capacity of 5×FAD mice， and improve the morphology of neurons in the hippocampal region. In vitro experiments showed that LY01 was effective against antioxidant damage， improved the cell morphology of C17.2 mouse NSCs after hydrogen peroxide injury， and increased cell viability. Both in vitro and in vivo experiments promoted NSC proliferation by upregulating the mRNA and protein levels of the critical genes of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway， which increased levels of doublecortin to facilitate new neuronal generation. This indicates that the ability of LY01 to counteract Aβ toxicity and alleviate oxidative damage in early AD is associated with activation of the Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway to promote NSC proliferation and thus repair damaged neurons.

Ceramic matrix composites(CMCs) are one of the most promising materials in the field of gas turbines,with superior weight and thermal properties. Its surface morphology is different from the traditional casting airfoil components, which mainly comes from different weaving methods and different braided tow thickness. However, few people have studied the influence of surface morphology of ceramic matrix composites(CMCs) on the development of boundary layer and the resulting flow loss. In this paper, Tex Gen is used to generate different surface morphology structures of ceramic matrix composites(CMCs), and the surface flow characteristics of corresponding CMCs plates are numerically studied. It is found that the slope of the displacement thickness of the woven surface first increases and then decreases in the whole transition interval. Thicker braided tow thickness and denser braiding method will induce earlier flow transition phenomenon and produce greater flow loss;The flow loss on the surface of CMCs plate is mainly composed of the vortex loss in the pit and the boundary layer loss outside the pit, and the boundary layer loss is dominant. The weaving methods has a greater influence on the flow state and flow loss of the boundary layer.

Production of Functional Materials Derived from Regenerated Silk Fibroin by Utilizing 3D Printing and Biomimetic Enzyme-induced Mineralization

Critical-sized bone defects, commonly encountered in clinical orthopedic surgery, present a significant challenge. One of the promising solutions is to prepare synthetic bone substitute materials with precise structural control, mechanical compatibility, and enhanced osteogenic induction performance, nevertheless the successful preparation of such materials remains difficult. In this study, a two-step technique,integrating an extrusion-based printing process with biomimetic mineralization induced by alkaline phosphatase(ALP), was developed. Initially,a pre-cured hydrogel of regenerated silk fibroin(RSF) with a small quantity of hydroxypropyl cellulose(HPC) and ALP was prepared through heating the mixed aqueous solution. This pre-cured hydrogel demonstrated thixotropic property and could be directly extruded into predetermined structures through a 3D-printer. Subsequently, the 3D-printed RSF-based materials with ALP underwent biomimetic in situ mineralization in calcium glycerophosphate(Ca-GP) mineralizing solution, utilizing the polymer chains of RSF as templates and ALP as a trigger for cleaving phosphate bonds of Ca-GP. The resulting 3D-printed RSF-mineral composites including hydrogel and sponge possessed adjustable compression modulus of megapascal grade and variable hydroxyapatite content, which could be controlled by manipulating the duration of the mineralization ***, these 3D-printed RSF-mineral composites demonstrated non-cytotoxicity towards rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells. Therefore, they may hold great potential for applications involving the replacement of tissues characterized by osteoinductivity and intricate structures.

The shuttle effect of polysulfides is one of the key factors hindering the commercialization of lithiumsulfur batteries（LSBs）.Owing to their high conductivity and advantageous structure,heterostructures can be used in sulfur fixation and catalysis of *** this study,a flower-shaped ZnO/ZnS heterostructure on a nitrogendoped porous carbon（NPC） sulfur host was *** ZnO/ZnS heterostructure regulates the electronic structure of the material and exhibits higher metal-like ***,the ZnO/ZnS heterostructure combines the strong adsorption property of ZnO and the high catalytic ability of ZnS to realize the anchoring-diffusionconversion of lithium poly sulfides（LiPSs）.Results reveal that the developed ZnO/ZnS@NPC/S cathode has excellent electrochemical performance in LSBs,achieving a high discharge specific capacity of 1365.3 mAh·g-1at 0.1C and excellent rate capability(719 mAh·g-1at 2C;the capacity decay rate is only 0.042% per cycle after 1000 cycles).Even under a high sulfur loading-E/S（electrolyte/sulfur）ratio of 5.1 mg·cm-2-6 μl·mg-1,a high specific capacity of 723.7 mAh·g-1is maintained after 60 *** study provides a new strategy for a multifunctional sulfur host that can effectively alleviate the shuttle effect of LiPSs and improve the utilization of sulfur active substances.

Pt nanoclusters modified porous g-C_(3)N_(4)nanosheets to significantly enhance hydrogen production by photocatalytic water reforming of methanol
