The Jiangchuan Biota from the Jiucheng Member(Mb.)of the Dengying Formation(Fm.),discovered in Jiangchuan,eastern Yunnan,China,is marked by copious macrofossils at the apex of the Ediacaran *** fauna features benthic algae with varied holdfasts and other fossils of indeterminate taxonomic affinity and is compositionally unique compared to the Shibantan and Gaojiashan biotas of the Dengying *** the Miaohe and Wenghui biotas of the Doushantuo Fm.,elsewhere in *** novel benthic saccular macroalgal fossil,named here Houjiashania yuxiensis *** ***.,from the Jiangchuan Biota is based on fossils that are sausage-shaped,elongate,tubular,ranging from 0.3 to 4 cm in length,and up to 0.8 cm in *** terminus is blunt and rounded to an obtuse angle,the other is bent with a spread-out surface resembling a holdfast,suggesting a three-dimensional ***,stipe-shaped outgrowths,likely vestiges of sessile saccular life forms,are prevalent in macroalgal fossils of analogous size and shape,as well as present brown algae Scytosiphonaceae,such as Colpomenia and *** new findings augment the diversity of benthic algae,such as those known from the Early Neoproterozoic Longfengshan Biota in North *** benthic algal macrofossils in the Jiucheng *** to knowledge of Late Ediacaran metaphyte diversification and offer more clues about the evolutionary positioning of primitive *** co-occurrence of numerous planktonic and benthic multicellular algae and planktonic microbes might have facilitated ecologically the more extensive later Cambrian explosion evidenced by the Chengjiang Biota in Yunnan.

Optimizing profile line interval for enhanced accuracy in rock joint morphology and shear strength assessments

2D profile lines play a critical role in cost-effectively evaluating rock joint properties and shear ***, the interval(ΔI_(L)) between these lines significantly impacts roughness and shear strength assessments. A detailed study of 45 joint samples using four statistical measures across 500 different ΔI_(L)values identified a clear line interval effect with two stages: stable and *** statistical analysis showed a linear relationship between the error bounds of four parameters,shear strength evaluation, and their corresponding maximum ΔI_(L)values, where the gradient k of this linear relationship was influenced by the basic friction angle and normal stress. Accounting for these factors,lower-limit linear models were employed to determine the optimal ΔI_(L)values that met error tolerances(1%–10%) for all metrics and shear strength. The study also explored the consistent size effect on joints regardless of ΔI_(L)changes, revealing three types of size effects based on morphological ***, larger joints required generally higher ΔI_(L)to maintain the predefined error limits, suggesting an increased interval for large joint analyses. Consequently, this research provides a basis for determining the optimal ΔI_(L), improving accuracy in 2D profile line assessments of joint characteristics.

Improvement of Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Rapid Cooling Friction Stir-welded A1050 Pure Aluminum

Two-mm thick A1050 pure aluminum plates were successfully joined by conventional and rapid cooling friction stir welding(FSW), respectively. The microstructure and mechanical properties of the welded joints were investigated by electron backscatter diffraction characterization, Vickers hardness measurements, and tensile testing. The results showed that liquid CO_(2) coolant significantly reduced the peak temperature and increased the cooling rate, so the rapidly cooled FSW joint exhibited fine grains with a large number of dislocations. The grain refinement mechanism of the FSW A1050 pure aluminum joint was primarily attributed to the combined effects of continuous dynamic recrystallization, grain subdivision, and geometric dynamic recrystallization. Compared with conventional FSW, the yield strength, ultimate tensile strength, and fracture elongation of rapidly cooled FSW joint were significantly enhanced, and the welding efficiency was increased from 80% to 93%. The enhanced mechanical properties and improved synergy of strength and ductility were obtained due to the increased dislocation density and remarkable grain refinement. The wear of the tool can produce several WC particles retained in the joint, and the contribution of second phase strengthening to the enhanced strength should not be ignored.

Association analysis of an anti-obesity mechanism and key ripened Pu-erh tea bioactive components by mimicking human general tea drinking

Pu-erh tea， a traditional Chinese beverage， performs an anti-obesity function， but the correlation between its components and efficacy remains unknown. Here， we screened two Pu-erh teas with significant anti-obesity efficacies from 11 teas. In vitro experiments revealed that lipid accumulation in L02 cells and lipid synthesis in 3T3-L1 cells were significantly better inhibited by Tea-B than Tea-A. Further in vivo experiments using model mice revealed that the differences in chemical components generated two pathways in the anti-obesity efficacy and mechanism of Pu-erh teas. Tea-A changes the histomorphology of brown adipose tissue (BAT) and increases the abundance of Coriobacteriaceae＿UCG＿002 and cyclic AMP in guts through high chemical contents of cyclopentasiloxane， decamethyl， tridecane and 1，2，3-trimethoxybenzene， eventually increasing BAT activation and fat browning gene expression; the high content of hexadecane and 1，2-dimethoxy-benzene in Tea-B reduces white adipose tissue (WAT) accumulation and the process of fatty liver， increases the abundance of Odoribacter and sphinganine 1-phosphate， inhibits the expression of lipid synthesis and transport genes. These mechanistic findings on the association of the representative bioactive components in Pu-erh teas with the anti-obesity phenotypes， gut microbes， gut metabolite structure and anti-obesity pathways， which were obtained for the first time， provide foundations for developing functional Pu-erh tea.

Ship recognition based on HRRP via multi-scale sparse preserving method

In order to extract the richer feature information of ship targets from sea clutter, and address the high dimensional data problem, a method termed as multi-scale fusion kernel sparse preserving projection(MSFKSPP) based on the maximum margin criterion(MMC) is proposed for recognizing the class of ship targets utilizing the high-resolution range profile(HRRP). Multi-scale fusion is introduced to capture the local and detailed information in small-scale features, and the global and contour information in large-scale features, offering help to extract the edge information from sea clutter and further improving the target recognition accuracy. The proposed method can maximally preserve the multi-scale fusion sparse of data and maximize the class separability in the reduced dimensionality by reproducing kernel Hilbert space. Experimental results on the measured radar data show that the proposed method can effectively extract the features of ship target from sea clutter, further reduce the feature dimensionality, and improve target recognition performance.

生态系统服务尺度与人类治理尺度错配是造成生态系统服务退化的原因之一,界定生态系统服务利益相关者是认识与解决该问题的首要环节。基于布迪厄实践理论视角,提出生态系统服务利益相关者界定分析框架与身份变动机制,并为利益相关者理论应用与发展提供来自生态系统服务领域的实践尝试和研究思路。研究认为:利益相关者是生态系统服务反馈机制中重要社会属性变量,且存在于层次性空间结构中,呈现出竞争性动态平衡和差异性权重位次等特殊属性,是生态系统服务管理目标达成的惠益对象。利益相关者理论演化与类型划分标准为探讨生态系统服务利益相关者界定带来助益,但存在适配性差异。引入布迪厄实践理论,这一体现综合性、关系性、模糊性、生成性和再生产性的独特研究视角,能够为生态系统服务利益相关者界定提供由场域、惯习、资本等核心概念构成的分析框架,并为阐释其身份变动机制提供思路;同时,为回应利益相关者理论融合规范主义“价值”与实证主义“事实”的发展定位和趋势,拓展其理论解释边界带来生态系统服务领域的实践尝试。围绕该分析框架,就制度设计,从政治、经济、社会、文化场域提出进一步研究方向,探索建立从利益相关者界定出发到规制生态系统服务尺度与人类治理尺度错配的制度体系。

Secondary diabetes due to different etiologies:Four case reports

BACKGROUND As research on diabetes continues to advance,more complex classifications of this disease have emerged,revealing the existence of special types of diabetes,and many of these patients are prone to misdiagnosis and underdiagnosis,leading to treatment delays and increased health care *** purpose of this study was to identify four causes of secondary *** SUMMARY Secondary diabetes can be caused by various factors,some of which are often *** factors include genetic defects,autoimmune disorders,and diabetes induced by *** paper describes four types of secondary diabetes caused by Williams–Beuren syndrome,Prader–Willi syndrome,pituitary adenoma,and IgG4-related *** cases deviate significantly from the typical progression of the disease due to their low incidence and rarity,often leading to their neglect in clinical *** comparison to regular diabetes patients,the four individuals described here exhibited distinct *** hypoglycaemic treatments failed to effectively control the ***,a series of examinations and follow-up history confirmed the diagnosis and underlying cause of *** addressing the primary condition,such as excising a pituitary adenoma,providing glucocorticoid supplementation,and implementing symptomatic treatments,all patients experienced a considerable decrease in blood glucose levels,which were subsequently maintained within a stable ***,other accompanying symptoms *** Rare diseases causing secondary diabetes are often not considered in the diag-nosis of ***,it is crucial to conduct genetic tests,antibody detection and other appropriate diagnostic measures when necessary to facilitate early diagnosis and intervention through proactive and efficient management of the underlying condition,ultimately improving patient outcomes.
