Group B streptococcus(GBS)is a leading cause of neonatal infection.Maternal vaginal-rectal colonization with GBS during the intrapartum period is a prerequisite for GBS early-onset disease(EOD).The obstetric measures for effective prevention of GBS EOD include universal prenatal screening by vaginal-rectal culture,correct specimen collection and processing,appropriate implementation of intrapartum antibiotic prophylaxis,and coordination with pediatric care providers.It is now recommended to universal screen GBS between 36^(0/7)and 37^(6/7)weeks of gestation and to identify groups of women who are eligible for intravenous intrapartum antibiotic prophylaxis as a means of preventing GBS EOD.

In an effort to end the HIV epidemic by 2030, the Joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS(UNAIDS)set the ‘90-90-90’ target and aimed to expand the timely use of ART worldwide. By the end of 2017,21.7 million people living with HIV, amounting to59% of HIV patients worldwide, were receiving antiretroviral therapy(ART)[1]. In China, the National Free Antiretroviral Treatment Program(NFATP),which was initiated in 2002, continued to progress.

In order to solve frequently emerging food safety problems and adapt to the developing trends in the international food safety field, the Chinese government is establishing and developing food traceability systems. Whether or not food traceability sys- tems can guarantee food safety is a problem well worth discussing. Hence, we constructed a theoretical model to explore the effect of incentives in a food traceability system in order to improve food safety levels. The following results were obtained： enhancing the ef- fectiveness of a food traceability system, increasing the payment to farmers who supply safe agricultural products and strengthening the penalty for unsafe food supply actions are necessary conditions to improve the level of food safety. How to encourage farmers to use food traceability systems is another problem explored in our investigation. Based on a field survey on the willingness of vegetable growers to participate using a vegetable traceability system in Beijing, the first city in China to develop such a system, we used a de- scriptive statistics and a binary logistic regression model to investigate the factors which dominate the decision on the part of farmers to participate in a food safety system. The results indicate that i： younger farmers are more likely to get involved in a food traceability system than older farmers, ii： income from non-agricultural activities decreases the willingness of farmers to participate, iii： the high- er the cost-benefit ratio of growing vegetables, the more likely for farmers to engage in a food traceability system, iv： farmers with a great concern for food safety information have a high propensity to participate and v： increased penalties against unsafe food supply actions and high-risk expectation are adverse incentives. In contrast, high-price expectation is a positive incentive for farmers to par- ticipate, while agricultural training, government subsidies and being part of an industrial organization will significantly strengthen the confidence of farmers

Background：Preterm birth （PTB） is the leading cause of perinatal morbidity and mortality worldwide,and its prevention is an important health-care priority.The cervical incompetence is a well-known risk factor for PTB and its incidence is about 0.1-2.0%,while there is no ideal optimum treatment recommended currently.The cervical incompetence causes about 15% of habitual abortion in 16-28 weeks.This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of cervical cerclage and vaginal progesterone in the treatment of cervical incompetence with/without PTB history.Methods：We retrospectively observed the pregnancy outcome of 198 patients diagnosed with cervical incompetence from January 2010 to October 2015 in Beijing Hospital.Among the 198 women involved,women who had at least one PTB before 32 weeks （including abortion in the second trimester attributed to the cervical competence） were assigned to the PTB history cohort,and others were assigned to the non-PTB history cohort.All women underwent cerclage placement （cervical cerclage group） or administrated with vaginal progesterone （vaginal progesterone group） until delivery.The outcomes of interest were the differences in gestational age at delivery,the rate of premature delivery,neonatal outcome,complications,and route of delivery between the two treatment groups.Results：Among the 198 patients with cervical incompetence,116 patients in PTB history cohort and 80 patients in non-PTB history cohort were included in the final analysis.In the PTB history cohort,cervical cerclage group had significantly longer cervical length at 2 weeks after the start of treatment （23.1 ± 4.6 mm vs.12.4 ± 9.1 mm,P =0.002）,higher proportion of delivery ≥37 weeks＇ gestation （63.4% vs.33.3%,P =0.008）,bigger median birth weight （2860 g vs.2250 g,P =0.031）,and lower proportion of neonates whose 1-min Apgar score 〈7 （5.9% vs.33.3%,P =0.005）,compared with vaginal progesterone group.No significant differences were found in other outcome measures between the two treatment groups.In the non-PTB hi

A 60-year-old woman with squamous cell carcinoma in the right lung was successfully treated with four cycles of combination chemotherapy after surgery, and complete remission was achieved. However, the patient developed myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) RAEB-2 with myelofibrosis after remission, possibly because of chemotherapy or DNA methylation. The patient responded well to dacitabine (Dacogen), suggesting that DNA hypomethylation agents can be a promising therapy to retard the progression of a second tumor or carcinoma.

A new water falling film dielectric barrier discharge was applied to the degradation of sulfadiazine in the aqueous solution. The various parameters that affect the degradation of sulfadiazine and the proposed evolutionary process were investigated. The results indicated that the inner concentrations of 10 mg/L sulfadiazine can be all removed within 30 min. The optimum pH value was 9.10 and both strong acidic and alkaline solution conditions were not suitable for the degradation. The degradation of sulfadiazine can be enhanced by the addition of hydrogen radical scavengers, but be inhibited by adding hydroxyl radical scavengers. The water falling film dielectric barrier discharge was rather ineffective in mineralization, because of the intermediates were recalcitrant to be degraded. The existence of Fe2＋ and CCI4 in the liquid phase can promote the degradation and mineralization of sulfadiazine. It was found that the degradation of SDZ was enhanced by CC14 was mainly because of the increase of＇OH due to the reaction of CC14 with ＊H that reduce the chances of their recombination with ＂OH. Based on the 8 intermediate products identified by LC-MS, the proposed evolution of the degradation process was investigated.

Dipyrrolyldiketone difluoroboron complexes(BONEPYs)were synthesized by condensation of the corresponding pyrroles and malonyl chloride followed by treatment with BF3·OEt2.The aryl-substituted pyrrole is introduced to form a cyclic system in order to investigate anion binding studies.In BONEPYs 1-3 the o-H of the aryl group forms hydrogen bonding with F to give a more table complex.In contrast,the intramolecular hydrogen-bonded BONEPY endo-4 is more stable than its exo isomer.While adding F,the hydrogen bonds must be broken first to give 4·(3)F.Owing to the electron-rich group(-OMe),the o-H of the phenyl group can hardly interact with F via hydrogen bonding to give the less stable complex4-(5)F.The energy diffe rences between the different conformations were calculated using DFT methods,which is consistent to the experimental observations.

A new family of trinuclear windwheel complexes with molecular formula [M^(II)_(3)(tpa)_(3)(μ-ttc)](ClO_(4))_(3)·n(sol) (ttc = 1,3,5-triazine-2,4,6-trithiol;tpa = tris(2-pyridylmethyl)amine;M = Mn,n = 2,sol = CH_(3)CN,1;M = Co,n = 1,sol = CH_(3)CN,2;M = Ni,n = 0,3) were synthesized and characterized.Single-crystal X-ray diffraction revealed that three metal centers in 1—3 are connected by ttc bridge,forming a regular triangular MII3 core.Each metal center is bonded by chelating S,N atoms from ttc and by N atoms from tpa.Magnetic studies showed that 1—3 displayed antiferromagnetic behavior and further gave the easy-axis anisotropy (D = −0.77 cm^(−1) for 1 and −8.13 cm^(−1) for 2) and easy-plane anisotropy (D = 5.08 cm^(−1) for 3).Moreover,2 exhibited field-induced slow magnetic relaxation behavior and their effective energy barriers were roughly evaluated Ueff = 6.9 K.

The co-utilization of silicon(Si) and graphite(G) has been considered as the preferred strategy to achieve high energy density anode materials,but the effective synergistic integration of Si and graphite is still a challenge and it is necessary to find a scheme to accommodate the large-scale production of Si/graphite anodes.In this work,silicon cutting waste from the photovoltaic industry was used as raw material,mixed with graphite,pitch,and polyvinylpyrrolidone,and subjected to high-energy ball milling.The mixture was then heated in an Ar atmosphere for the carbon coating,and the resulting Si/graphite/carbon(Si/G/C) composite was etched to remove the thicker SiOx layer formed on the Si surface to allow the pores between the Si and the carbon matrix to obtain Si@voids/G@C.Benefiting from the integrated structural design and the significantly enhanced electronic conductivity,the Si/G@voids@C composite exhibited the first dischargespecific capacity of 2530 mAh·g^(-1) with an initial coulombic efficiency(ICE) of 86.7%,and the remaining capacity exceeded 1000 mAh·g^(-1) after 550 cycles at 1.5A·g^(-1).Notably,full lithium-ion batteries with a Si/G@voids@C anode and LiFePO_4 cathode delivered a stable capacity of 140 mAh·g^(-1).The synthesis method is facile and cost-effective,providing an integration strategy for Si and G with a potential scheme for large-scale commercial applications.
