Assessment of association between anthropometric indices and individuals’ Mizaj

Background Iranian traditional medicine,originating from Greek medicine,is based on the four elements theory,which defines the origin of life as the composition of the four elements of air,soil,fire,and water[1,2].According to Iranian traditional medicine,actions and reactions of opposite qualities of these four elements and interaction among“themselves by virtue of their respective powers(qualities)”in varying amounts of these combinations form the unique Mizaj(temperament)of each human being[3].Each human being has a unique Mizaj based on the combination of the warmness of fire,the coldness of soil,the wetness of water,and the dryness of air[4,5].The combinations of these elements are generally categorized as Sanguine Mizaj(warm and wet),Choleric(warm and dry),Phlegmatic(cold and wet),Sanguine Mizaj,and Melancholic Mizaj(cold and dry)[4–9].Mizaj is also categorized as innate and *** individual is born with the innate Mizaj,and the acquired type commonly results from living conditions and lifestyle[4,5].

Herbal medicine in treatment of dysmenorrhea:a systematic review

Validity of determining innate Mizaj (temperament) based on facial characteristics: a comparative study

In traditional Iranian medicine,accurate determination of Mizaj plays a very important role in the etiology and treatment of *** are a lot of evidences and documents in original Iranian traditional medicine books and documents related to the relationship between Mizaj and the facial character and *** this study,we investigated the validity of determining Mizaj based on facial dimensions and *** this purpose,a software was developed to determine Mizaj based on an algorithm of facial dimensions and *** cross-sectional study investigated the validity of identifying Mizaj based on facial dimensions and appearance(using the facial-based Mizaj recognition software)by comparison with the Mizaj determined by a standardized questionnaire and by using the traditional method of experts’opinion on determining the *** inclusion criteria of the study were being healthy,using no medication,and consent to participate in the *** sample size of the study was 83 *** analyzing the data,SPSS software version 19 was ***,for examining the level of internal agreement of the data,Kappa statistics were *** results of the study showed that the level of agreement between determining Mizaj by facial characteristics with the experts’distinction of Mizaj is almost complete,and the level of agreement with the Mizaj questionnaire was *** results showed that the facial-based Mizaj recognition software has a good validity to detect the Mizaj of individuals in the study ***,studies with a larger sample size are needed to confirm the results of this study.

Efficient photoelectrochemical conversion of CO_(2)to syngas by photocathode engineering

The synthesis of renewable chemical fuels from CO_(2) and H_(2)O via photoelectrochemical(PEC)route reprensents a promising room-temperature approach for transforming greenhouse gas into value-added chemicals(e.g.,syngas),but to date it has been hampered by the lack of efficient photocathode for CO_(2) ***,we report efficient PEC CO_(2) reduction into syngas by photocathode *** photocathode is consisting of a planar p-n Si junction for strong light harvesting,GaN nanowires for efficient electron extraction and transfer,and Au/TiO_(2)for rapid electrocatalytic syngas *** photocathode yields a record-high solar energy conversion efficiency of 2.3%.Furthermore,desirable syngas compositions with CO/H_(2)ratios such as 1:2 and 1:1 can be produced by simply varying the size of Au *** calculations reveal that the active sites for CO and H_(2)generation are the facet and undercoordinated sites of Au particles,respectively.

Changes in properties of tar obtained during underground coal gasification process

In this study,the composition of tars collected during a six-day underground coal gasification(UCG)test at the experimental mine‘Barbara’in Poland in 2013 was *** the test,tar samples were taken every day from the liquid product separator and analysed by the methods used for testing properties of typical coke oven(coal)*** obtained results were compared with each other and with the data for coal *** gasification progressed,a decreasing trend in the water content and an increasing trend in the ash content were *** tars tested were characterized by large changes in the residue after coking and content of parts insoluble in toluene and by smaller fluctuations in the content of parts insoluble in *** tested samples were characterized by very high distillation losses,while for samples starting from the third day of gasification,a clear decrease in losses was visible.A chromatographic analysis showed that there were no major differences in composition between the tested tars and that none of the tar had a dominant component such as naphthalene in coal *** content of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs)in UCG tars is several times lower than that in coal *** light monoaromatic hydrocarbons(benzene,toluene,ethylbenzene and xylenes—BTEX)were found in the analysed tars,which results from the fact that these compounds,due to their high volatility,did not separate from the process gas in the liquid product separator.

A Simple,Efficient and Rapid Method for Good Quality DNA Extraction from Rice Grains

An efficient and good DNA extraction protocol should be simple, affordable and yield enough DNA with high quality. Rice(Oryza sativa L.) DNA extraction methods often use seedlings or leaves rather than the grains and tend to be time-consuming, involve multiple steps, and use hazardous chemicals and expensive enzymes. Rice grains offer several benefits over seedlings and leaves as a source of DNA for genetic analysis. However, these benefits are underutilized because the bulk of a rice grain is made up of starch. It is particularly important, but difficult to get rid of the starch while extracting DNA from rice grains. This co-precipitated polysaccharide is a known inhibitor of DNA polymerase activity in polymerase chain reaction(PCR). We describe here a very simple and highly affordable Chelex~?-100 based DNA extraction method from rice grains. It does not require any hazardous chemicals or enzymes. This method reproducibly extracts DNA with good purity indices(A_(260)/A_(230) and A_(260)/A_(280) values), but requires only a few steps.

A Secure Model for Preventing the Spread of COVID-19 in Bangladesh

An alarmingly high mortality and morbidity rate has been observed in COVID-19. As a new disease (similar group of SARS-CoV 2), it has been spread to more than two hundred countries and millions of people. However, COVID-19 infection is increasing in Bangladesh also. Therefore, an effective public health response is needed to control the outbreak of the mentioned new disease. If this high increasing factor turns out of control then it provides potential negative impact on social, economic, and political life of Bangladeshi people. One of the most effective ways to reduce or prevent the growth of COVID-19 is to wear masks. Many variants of COVID-19 are available in the world currently. Latest, there is a variant of omicron. This variant is too infectious. It means the vaccine seems to be not perfect against this deadliest disease COVID-19. However, people are not conscious enough about this matter generally. Nowadays, they are very reluctant to wear a mask. Their main thought is to get vaccinated and it can protect themselves. Definitely, the vaccine can protect at a certain level. However, Omicron proves that vaccine is not the ultimate solution. But, we can protect ourselves to wear a mask and keeping physical distance. This is the borderline of our research work. In this work, we proposed a system that will monitor the people who are outside the home/office via a close circuit camera. It evaluates whether the people are mask-free or not. If one does not wear a mask then an image will be captured and compared with database of national-data center for example NID server. As sensitive data, it needs security and protection. Hence, we adopt a cryptographic solution such as authenticated encryption or tag generation. As a result, receiver will be assured that a valid sender provides data to the valid receiver. On chip chiral and plasmonic hybrid dimer or tetramer:Generic way to reverse longitudinal and lateral optical binding forces

For both the longitudinal binding force and the lateral binding force,a generic way of controlling the mutual attraction and repulsion(usually referred to as reversal of optical binding force)between chiral and plasmonic hybrid dimers or tetramers has not been reported so *** this paper,by using a simple plane wave and an onchip configuration,we propose a possible generic way to control the binding force for such hybrid objects in both the near-field region and the far-field *** also investigate different inter-particle distances while varying the wavelengths of light for each inter-particle distance throughout the *** of all,for the case of longitudinal binding force,we find that chiral-plasmonic hybrid dimer pairs do not exhibit any reversal of optical binding force in the near-field region nor in the far-field region when the wavelength of light is varied in an air ***,when the same hybrid system of nanoparticles is placed over a plasmonic substrate,a possible chip,it is possible to achieve a reversal of the longitudinal optical binding ***,for the case of lateral optical binding force,we investigate a setup where we place the chiral and plasmonic tetramers on a plasmonic substrate by using two chiral nanoparticles and two plasmonic nanoparticles,with the setup illuminated by a circularly polarized plane *** applying the left-handed and the right-handed circular polarization state of light,we also observe the near-field and the far-field reversal of lateral optical binding force for both *** far as we know,so far,no work has been reported in the literature on the generic way of reversing the longitudinal optical binding force and the lateral optical binding force of such hybrid *** a generic way of controlling optical binding forces can have important applications in different fields of science and technology in the near future.
