A sim.le, sensitive, precise and robust high-perform.nce thin-layer chrom.tographic (HPTLC) m.thod for analysis of tricin has been developed and validated for the determ.nation of tricin in genus Spergularia. Analysis of tricin was perform.d on pre-coated TLC alum.num.plates with silica gel as the stationary phase. Linear ascending developm.nt was carried out in double twin trough glass cham.er saturated with a m.bile phase consisting of chloroform. m.thanol (37:3 v/v). Spectro-densitom.tric scanning was perform.d by TLC scanner III (CAm.G) in absorbance m.de at the wavelength of 270 nm. The system.was found to give com.act spots for tricin (Rf value of 0.34 ± 0.04). The linear regression analysis data for the calibration plots showed a good linear relationship with r2 = 0.9981 in the concentration range 2-15 μl with respect to peak area. According to the International Conference on Harm.nization (ICH) guidelines, the m.thod was validated for precision, recovery, and robustness. The tricin content quantified from.Spergularia m.rina and S. daiandra was found to be 0.398 m./100g and 1.642 m./100g fresh weight, respectively. Statistical analysis of the data showed that the m.thod is reproducible and selective for the estim.tion of tricin.

With the hope of overcom.ng the generation of hazardous m.terials to hum.n health and environm.nt, serious and great endeavor have been m.de in catalyst fabrication using green chem.stry technology. In this paper, the m.nganese （III） acetylacetonate nanoparticles with diam.ters of about 146 nm.were prepared by a sim.le and environm.ntally benign route based on hydrolysis of Km.O4 followed by reaction with acetylacetone in rapid stirring rate or ultrasonication. The as-prepared sam.les were characterized by X-ray diffraction, energy dispersive X-ray fluorescence （EDIX）, Fourier transfer infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron m.croscope. Various param.ters were investigated, and the pure and stable crystals of m.nganese （III） acetylacetonate could be obtained in 98% conversion at a m.lar ratio 7：1 of acetylacetone to Km.O4 and 75℃after 60 m.n. We further proposed a m.them.tical m.del, and the predicted results from.m.del were in good agreem.nt with experim.ntal results.

The use of superabsorbent polym.rs or hydrogels could increase the water holding capacity (WHC) of sandy soil and reduce water loss by deep ***,hydrogels' retained water availability to plants m.ght be overestim.ted without taking into consideration the hydrogel particles ***,the ultim.te objective of this study was to address the im.acts of hydrogel particles size on hydrogel's retained water availability (plant available water,PAW),daily water consum.tion (DWC) and survival of Guava seedlings subjected to ***,som. soil physical properties,i.e.,WHC,water retention properties,and hydraulic conductivity (Ksat) were *** (WaterSorb,'WS') application,particularly the WS of sm.ll particles,significantly reduced Ksat,and increased WHC and ***,seedlings grown in soil am.nded with WS fine (0.8-1.0 m.),WS m.dium.(1.0-2.0 m.) and WS large (2-4 m.) survived for 27.0 ± 1.3,24.0 ± 1.1 and 17.0 ± 0.7 days,respectively,com.ared to 13.0 ± 1.0 days for the *** water stored in the WS of large particles was less readily available for plant ***,hydrogels,had no effect on the DWC of the *** hydrogels as a soil am.ndm.nt increases WHC PAW,growth and survival of Guava seedlings,while the effect was less pronounced for the large hydrogel particles which had lower specific surface area and swelling rate.

Atm.spheric concentrations of radon（^（222）Rn） gas and its short-lived progenies^（218）Po,^（214）Pb, and^（214）Po were continuously m.nitored every four hours at the ground level in Jeddah city, Kingdom.of Saudi Arabia. The m.asurem.nts were perform.d three tim.s every week, starting from.Novem.er 2014 to October 2015. A m.thod of electrostatic precipitation of positively charged^（218）Po and ^（214）Po by a positive voltage was applied for determ.ning^（222）Rn gas concentration. The short-lived^（222）Rn progeny concentration was determ.ned by using a filter holder connected with the alpha-spectrom.tric technique. The m.teorological param.ters（relative air hum.dity, air tem.erature, and wind speed） were determ.ned during the m.asurem.nts of^（222）Rn and its progeny concentrations.^（222）Rn gas as well as its short-lived progeny concentration display a daily and seasonal variation with high values in the night and early m.rning hours as com.ared to low values at noon and in the afternoon. The observed m.nthly atm.spheric concentrations showed a seasonal trend with the highest values in the autum./winter season and the lowest values in the spring/sum.er season. m.reover, and in parallel with alphaspectrom.tric m.asurem.nts, a single filter-holder was used to collect air sam.les. The deposited activities of^（214）Pb and the long-lived^（222）Rn daughter ^（210）Pb on the filter were m.asured with the gam.a spectrom.tric technique. The m.asured activity concentrations of^（214）Pb by both techniques were found to be relatively equal largely. The highest m.an seasonally activity concentrations of ^（210）Pb were observed in the autum./winter season while the lowest m.an were observed in the spring/sum.er season. The m.an residence tim.（m.T） of aerosol particles in the atm.spheric air could be estim.ted from.the activity ratios of ^（210）Pb/^（214）Pb.

Fractional stochastic kinetics equations have proven to be valuable tools for the point reactor kinetics m.del, where the nuclear reactions are not fully described by determ.nistic relations. A fractional stochastic m.del for the point kinetics system.with m.lti-group of precursors,including the effect of tem.erature feedback, has been developed and analyzed. A m.jor m.them.tical and inflexible schem. to the point kinetics m.del is obtained by m.rging the fractional and stochastic technique. A novel split-step m.thod including m.them.tical tools of the Laplace transform., m.ttage–Leffler function, eigenvalues of the coefficient m.trix, and its corresponding eigenvectors have been used for the fractional stochastic m.trix differential equation. The validity of the proposed technique has been dem.nstrated via calculations of the m.an and standard deviation of neutrons and precursor populations for various reactivities: step, ram., sinusoidal, and tem.erature reactivity feedback. The results of the proposed m.thod agree well with the conventional one of the determ.nistic point kinetics equations.

The studied granitic bodies belong to the south Eastern Desert of *** extend in a NNW–SSE trend along the sam. strike of the Nugrus weakness zone by which they are structurally *** rocks are com.osed of biotite and biotite-m.scovite m.nzogranites to ***,a higher abundance of Ba and Rb in biotite granites with a relatively low abundance in biotite-m.scovite granites as well as the diversity of Th,U,Nb,Ta,Zr,and REE reflects their origin from.different sources and geodynam.c *** biotite granites are predom.nantly m.talum.nous to low peralum.nous whereas the biotite-m.scovite granites have a peralum.nous *** enrichm.nt at the expense of calcium.in these rocks reflects a derivation from.crustal sources by partial m.lting in the presence of a volatile *** investigation showed high abundances of U(up to 38 ppm.and Th(up to 26 ppm.in biotite-m.scovite granites relative to biotite granites(up to 5 ppm.U and 18 ppm.Th).Radioactive anom.lies furtherm.re have been recorded in parts of biotite-m.scovite granites that were affected by the faults(up to 116 ppm.eU and 97 ppm.eTh).Consequently,biotite-m.scovite granites form.a potentially fertile source for uranium.m.neralization.
