In this study,we conducted a search for dark m.tter using a part of the data recorded by the Cm. experim.nt during run-I of the LHC in 2012 with a center of m.ss energy of 8 TeV and an integrated lum.nosity of 11.6 fb−*** data were gathered from.the Cm. open *** m.tter,in the fram.work of the sim.lified m.del(m.no-Z′),can be produced from.proton-proton collisions in association with a new hypothetical gauge boson,Z′.Thus,the search was conducted in the dim.on plus large m.ssing transverse m.m.ntum.*** benchm.rk scenario of m.no-Z′,which is known as light vector,was used for interpreting the Cm. open *** evidence of dark m.tter was observed,and exclusion lim.ts were set on the m.sses of dark m.tter and Z′at 95%confidence level.

AIm.To investigate the influence of ophthalm.c viscoelastic devices(OVDs)and different surgical approaches on the intraocular pressure(IOP)before and after creation of the curvilinear circular capsulorhexis(CCC)as a m.asure for anterior cham.er stability during this ***:Prospective experim.ntal WetLab study carried out on enucleated porcine *** was m.asured before and after CCC with the iCare Rebound tonom.ter(iCare ic200;iCare Finland Oy,Vantaa,Finland).The OVDs used were a cohesive one[Z-Hyalin,Carl Zeiss m.ditec AG,Germ.ny;hyaluronic acid(HA)]and a dispersive[Z-Celcoat,Carl Zeiss m.ditec AG,Germ.ny;hydroxy propylm.thylcellulosis(HPm.)].The CCC was created using Utrata forceps or 23 g m.croforceps in different com.inations with the ***:Using the Utrata forceps the IOP dropped from.63.65±6.44 to 11.25±3.63 m. Hg during the *** use of different OVDs m.de no *** the 23 g m.croforceps the IOP dropped from.65.35±8.15 to 36.55±6.09 m. *** difference between IOP drop using either Utrata forceps or 23 g m.croforceps was highly significant regardless of the OVD ***:Using the sideport for the creation of the capsulorhexis leads to a lesser drop in IOP during this m.neuver com.ared to the m.in incision in enucleated porcine *** use of different OVD has no significant influence on IOP drop.

A sim.le, sensitive, precise and robust high-perform.nce thin-layer chrom.tographic (HPTLC) m.thod for analysis of tricin has been developed and validated for the determ.nation of tricin in genus Spergularia. Analysis of tricin was perform.d on pre-coated TLC alum.num.plates with silica gel as the stationary phase. Linear ascending developm.nt was carried out in double twin trough glass cham.er saturated with a m.bile phase consisting of chloroform. m.thanol (37:3 v/v). Spectro-densitom.tric scanning was perform.d by TLC scanner III (CAm.G) in absorbance m.de at the wavelength of 270 nm. The system.was found to give com.act spots for tricin (Rf value of 0.34 ± 0.04). The linear regression analysis data for the calibration plots showed a good linear relationship with r2 = 0.9981 in the concentration range 2-15 μl with respect to peak area. According to the International Conference on Harm.nization (ICH) guidelines, the m.thod was validated for precision, recovery, and robustness. The tricin content quantified from.Spergularia m.rina and S. daiandra was found to be 0.398 m./100g and 1.642 m./100g fresh weight, respectively. Statistical analysis of the data showed that the m.thod is reproducible and selective for the estim.tion of tricin.

Background: The treatm.nt of brain m.tastases with radiotherapy has shifted to the use of Stereotactic Radio-surgery (SRS). The technical issue of expanding the treatm.nt volum. around the Gross Tum.r Volum. (GTV) is a current debate. Radiotherapy centers use variable GTV-PTV m.rgins, ranging from.one to 2 m.. m.terial and m.thods: We perform.d a dosim.tric com.arison in plans of twenty patients using three m.rgins: PTV zero, PTV1, and PTV2. We also developed im.ginary Peel volum.s. These volum.s are described as follows: Peel1 = PTV1 − GTV, Peel2 = PTV2 − GTV. Results: Our results showed that the m.an PTV volum. differed significantly across the different m.rgins (p = 0.000). The V12 of the brain significantly varied as a function of PTV m.rgin (p = 0.000). The target coverage and plan quality indices were not significantly different. The Peel volum. dosim.tric analysis showed that the m.an dose was significantly higher in the nearby norm.l brain tissue: Peel1 (p = 0.022) and Peel 2 (p = 0.013). Conclusion: According to our dosim.tric analysis, expanding the GTV into a PTV by 1 m. m.rgin is m.re convenient than 2 m..

Law enforcem.nt rem.ins to be the m.in strategy used to com.at poaching and account for high budget share in protected area m.nagem.nt. Studies on efficiency of wildlife law enforcem.nt in the protected areas are lim.ted. This study analyzed econom.c efficiency of wildlife law enforcem.nt in term. of resource used and output generated using three different protected areas (PAs) of Serengeti ecosystem.nam.ly Serengeti National Park (SENAPA), Ikorongo/Grum.ti Gam. Reserves (IGGR) and Ikona Wildlife m.nagem.nt Area (IWm.). Three years (2010-2012) m.nthly data on wildlife law enforcem.nt inputs and outputs were collected from.respective PAs authorities and supplem.nted with key inform.nt interviews and secondary data. Questionnaire surveys were conducted to wildlife law enforcem.nt staff. Shadow prices for non-m.rketed inputs were estim.ted, and m.rket prices for m.rketed inputs. Data Envelopm.nt Analysis (DEA) was used to estim.te econom.c efficiency using Variable Return to Scale (VRS) and Constant Return to Scale (CCR) assum.tions. Results revealed that wildlife law enforcem.nt in all PAs was econom.cally inefficient, with less inefficiency observed in IWm.. The less inefficiency in IWm. is likely attributed to existing sense of ownership and responsibility created through com.unity-based conservation which resulted in to decrease in law enforcem.nt costs. A slacks evaluation revealed a potential to reduce fuel consum.tion, num.er of patrol vehicles, ration and prosecution efforts at different m.gnitudes between studied protected areas. There is equal potential to recruit m.re rangers while m.intaining the resting tim.. These finding form. the bases for m.nitoring and evaluation with respect to resource usage to enhance efficiency. It is further recom.ended to enhance com.unity participation in conservation in SENAPA and IGGR to lower law enforcem.nt costs.
