BACKGROUND Solid pseudopapillary neoplasm(SPN)is a rare tumor that was first described by Frantz in *** this tumor is benign,some may have malignant potential that can be predicted based on demographics,imaging characteristics,and pathologic *** case series presents 3 SPN cases with discussion on gender differences,preoperative predictors of malignancy,and a suggested algorithm for diagnostic approach as well as post-surgical follow *** SUMMARY Three adult patients in a tertiary hospital found to have SPN,one elderly male and two young *** of the cases presented with abdominal pain and were discovered *** cases underwent endoscopic ultrasound with immunohistochemical staining(which were consistent with SPN before undergoing surgery),and one case underwent surgery directly after *** average tumor size was 5 *** was confirmed by *** patients had post-surgical complications requiring *** Demographic and imaging characteristics can be sufficient to establish diagnosis for SPN,while malignant cases require pre-operative evaluation with endoscopic ultrasound fine needle aspiration/fine needle biopsy.

The Coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)outbreak was rst discovered in Wuhan,China,and it has since spread to more than 200 *** World Health Organization proclaimed COVID-19 a public health emergency of international concern on January 30,***,a quickly spreading infection that could jeopardize the well-being of countless individuals requires prompt action to forestall the malady in a timely ***19 is a major threat worldwide due to its ability to rapidly *** vaccines are yet available for *** objective of this paper is to examine the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic,specically studying Hubei Province,China;Taiwan;South Korea;Japan;and Italy,in terms of exposed,infected,recovered/deceased,original conrmed cases,and predict conrmed cases in specic countries by using the susceptible-exposed-infectious-recovered model to predict the future outbreak of *** applied four differential equations to calculate the number of conrmed cases in each country,plotted them on a graph,and then applied polynomial regression with the logic of multiple linear regression to predict the further spread of the *** also compared the calculated and predicted cases of conrmed population and plotted them in the graph,where we could see that the lines of calculated and predicted cases do intersect with each other to give the perfect true results for the future spread of the *** study considered the cases from 22 January 2020 to 25 April 2020.

Plasma cell pleocytosis in HSV-2 aseptic meningitis

Plasma cell pleocytosis has been seen in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) analysis of patients with multiple myeloma, multiple sclerosis, leukemia, west nile encephalitis and lymphoma. There also have been some anecdotal reports suggesting the presence of plasma cells in CSF as possible early indicator of WNV encephalitis. We describe a case of plasma cell pleocytosis in CSF due to HSV-2 meningitis, adding it to the list of possible etiologies for the same.

Anaemia in a Patient with Diffuse Systemic Scleroderma

We hereby present a case of anaemia in a 73 years old patient with known past medical history of diffuse systemic scleroderma, who presented with acute onset of dizziness and haemetemesis. Blood tests revealed sudden drop of haemoglobin and an urgent gastroscopy revealed gastric antral vascular ectasia (GAVE) or “watermelon stomach”. GAVE is a rare but well recognised cause of acute bleeding in systemic scleroderma patients and should be kept as a differential diagnosis in the work up of anaemia in these patients.

Ischemic optic neuropathies could be a result of inflammatory and non inflammatory small vessel disease and have been classified as arteritic and non-arteritic anterior ischemic optic neuropathy respectively. This review has been intended to elucidate the epidemiology, etiology, pathogenesis, clinical picture and management of NAION and the literature search was completed using the published data in Pubmed, Medline, and Ovid over the last five decades.

A Network Analysis of Skill Game Dynamics

Casino games can be classified in two main categories, i.e. skill games and gambling. Notably, the former refers to games whose outcome is affected by the strategies of players, the latter to those games whose outcome is completely random. For instance, lotteries are easily recognized as pure gambling, while some variants of Poker (e.g. Texas Hold’em) are usually considered as skill games. In both cases, the theory of probability constitutes the mathematical framework for studying their dynamics, despite their classification. Here, it is worth to consider that when games entail the competition between many players, the structure of interactions can acquire a relevant role. For instance, some games as Bingo are not characterized by this kind of interactions, while other games as Poker, show a network structure, i.e. players interact each other and have the opportunity to share or exchange information. In this paper, we analyze the dynamics of a population composed of two species, i.e. strong and weak agents. The former represents expert players, while the latter beginners, i.e. non-expert ones. Here, pair-wise interactions are based on a very simple game, whose outcome is affected by the nature of the involved agents. In doing so, expert agents have a higher probability to succeed when playing with weak agents, while the success probability is equal when two agents of the same kind face each other. Numerical simulations are performed considering a population arranged in different topologies like regular graphs and in scale-free networks. This choice allows to model dynamics that we might observe on online game platforms. Further aspects as the adaptability of agents are taken into account, e.g. the possibility to improve (i.e. to becomean expert). Results show that complex topologies represent a strong opportunity for experts and a risk for both kinds of agents.

Prediction of Water Logging Using Analytical Solutions—A Case Study of Kalisindh Chambal River Linking Canal

The canals are designed to transport water to meet irrigation and other water demands or to divert water from surplus basins to deficient basins to meet the ever increasing water demands. Though the positives of canal network are increase in agricultural output and improvement in quality of life, the negatives of canal introduction and irrigation, along its route, are inherent problems of water logging and salinity due to seepage from canals and the irrigation, when not managed properly. To plan strategies to prevent waterlogging and salinity, it is necessary to predict, in advance, the probable area which would be affected due to seepage. This paper presents a methodology to predict the area prone to water logging due to seepage from canal by using 2D seepage solutions to 3D field problem. The available analytical solutions for seepage from canals founded on pervious medium and asymmetrically placed drains, have been utilized. The area, prone to waterlogging, has been mapped using GIS.

Herein,we report the synthesis of Zn_(0.7)Mg_(0.3)Nd_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_(4)(where,x=0,0,0,01,0,02)ferrite nanoparticles by employing the sol-gel auto-combustion *** X-ray diffraction(XRD)pattern suggests the formation of a pure cubic structure,without any impurity phase,with an Fd3m space group at room *** increasing doping amount,the crystallite size is reported as 35-41 nm,while the lattice parameters rise from 0.8381 to 0.8395 *** emission scanning electron microscopy(FESEM)images show the formation of spherical grains with agglomerated morphology in all the samples,with grain sizes ranging from 49 to 103 *** dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX)and elemental mapping investigation confirm the chemical purity of all the *** transform infrared(FTIR)analysis shows the presence of two prominent peaks around 440 and 560 cm^(-1)that correspond to the octahedral and tetrahedral *** addition,the existence of five Raman active vibratio nal modes in all produced specimens again confirms the structural purity of all the *** M-H curve shows that saturation magnetization(M_(s))first increases from 14.98 to 28.22 emu/g and then decreases to 18.98emu/g with increasing doping *** is due to the A-B type super-exchange interaction for the synthesized *** variation in coercivity(H_(c))and magnetic anisotropy(K_(1))suggest the thermal stability of all the samples and can be utilized in transformers and solenoids.
