The monitoring of trees is crucial for the management of large areas of forest cultivations,but this process may be ***,remotely sensed data offers a solution to automate this *** this work,we used two neural network methods named You Only Look Once(YOLO)and Mask R-CNN to overcome the challenging tasks of counting,detecting,and segmenting high dimensional Red–Green–Blue(RGB)images taken from unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs).We present a processing framework,which is suitable to generate accurate predictions for the aforementioned tasks using a reasonable amount of labeled *** compared our method using forest stands of different ages and *** counting,YOLO overestimates 8.5%of the detected trees on average,whereas Mask R-CNN overestimates a 4.7%of the *** the detection task,YOLO obtains a precision of 0.72 and a recall of 0.68 on average,while Mask R-CNN obtains a precision of 0.82 and a recall of *** segmentation,YOLO overestimates a 13.5%of the predicted area on average,whereas Mask R-CNN overestimates a 9.2%.The proposed methods present a cost-effective solution for forest monitoring using RGB images and have been successfully used to monitor∼146,500 acres of pine cultivations.

Motion sickness is one of the main reasons why travelling by sea becomes a bad memory for a number of people, mainly due to a nauseating symptom. The aim of this paper is to characterize a condition called seasickness that has affected many people from a mathematical and psychological point of view. Based on the mathematical characterization, an existing model will be reviewed and described. In the psychological aspects, a statistical study of two hundred and thirteen people was performed in order to provide a comprehensive view of the different psychological factors affecting the passengers. Motion sickness also impacts onboard safety, as it reduces the effectiveness and the operating capability of the crew when responding to hazardous situations.

This technical paper considers the vessels used today in the sea and marine industries to provide somewhere to stay for people in semi-permanent accommodation at sea： the floating hotels. These structures have mainly been developed to hold the activities of the offshore oil and gas industry, although in coastal areas they are widely used for several purposes, mainly as commercial hotels, but with a quite different philosophy of use. The purpose of this paper is to show how the term flotel is used to denominate very different craft that, while serving the same purpose, have a totally different configuration according to the place where they are located： in protected waters in coastal areas, in benign and shallow waters of the open ocean or in the harsh environments of deep waters, etc..

Background Globally transgender women(TW)are at heightened vulnerability for HIV *** Lima Peru,sharp increases in HIV prevalence are seen among TW ages 25 years and older highlighting the need for early HIV prevention efforts for young *** study conducted in-depth qualitative interviews to elucidate the social and developmental contexts of HIV vulnerability for young TW in Lima *** Between November 2019 and February 2020,young TW ages 16-24 years(n=21)in Lima Peru were purposively sampled using in-person(e.g.,face-to-face outreach)and online(e.g.,social media,networking websites)social network-based *** were conducted in Spanish and a rapid qualitative analysis was conducted using a modified immersion crystallization methodology to identify *** Five themes emerged,informing the conceptualization of a Life Course Health Development Model of HIV Vulnerabilities and Resiliencies:(1)interpersonal contexts(family,school,partners,sexual debut,trans mothers);(2)structural vulnerabilities(poverty,educational constraints,migration,hostile environments,sex work,police violence);(3)concomitant mental health and psychosocial factors(discrimination,violence,depression,suicidality,substance use,life hopes/dreams/future expectations);(4)gender affirmation processes(gender identity development,hormones,surgery,legal name/gender marker change);(5)HIV prevention and treatment barriers(PrEP uptake,HIV care,condom use,risk reduction).Conclusions Young TW experience formidable developmental challenges associated with transphobia,violence,and pre-maturely facing accelerated *** and culturally appropriate interventions to mitigate HIV vulnerability in Peru are needed,including those that consider co-occurring stigma-related conditions in adolescence and young adulthood.

There are many advantages of using Computer Aided Design (CAD) Systems in a shipbuilding environment: ease of design, speed of construction, use and reuse of information, etc. It is expected that in future CAD tools will advance further and allow greater information management and virtual access through smart devices. The authors of this paper talk about a new concept in shipbuilding, the Internet-of-Ships (IoS) which would have a deep impact on the ship design and production, with a huge diversity of present and potential applications.

Enhacement of the Viability of <i>Lactobacillus</i><i>plantarum</i>during the Preservation and Storage Process Based on the Response Surface Methodology

Objective: The Response Surface Methodology (RSM) is a commonly used system to optimize cell viability of probiotic strains when they are subjected to different preservation and storage processes. Methods and Results: To determine the optimal levels of incorporation of several cry oprotectants (skim milk, sucrose and trehalose) in the freeze-drying process of Lactobacillus plantarum, a range of experiments based on a Rotational Central Composite design (CCD) were conducted. The results were adjusted to a quadratic model, resulting in the presence of interaction between the different variables. Solving a regression equation, we obtained the optimum concentrations of cryoprotective agents: 24.06% milk powder, 6.22% sucrose, 5.63% trehalose. To visualize the interactions between the three variables involved in the study, Design Expert? software was used. Conclusions: The analysis reveals that while trehalose has a direct effect on the viability of L. plantarum, skim milk and sucrose exert quadratic effects. There are also interactions between cryoprotectants, which emphasize the synergies produced between milk and sucrose and between sucrose and trehalose, which allows maintaining the viability of L. plantarum. Significance and Impact of the Study: The addition of new oligosaccharides as trehalose in premixtures for functional feed can maintain the viability of L. plantarum during longer periods of time, ensuring the proper administration of probiotics to their destinations.

Wound healing and cicatrization is a process that involves several phases. The main goal of a surgeon and specially the plastic surgeon is to achieve the best cosmetic results and avoid complications. Several tools are available to achieve the best result. One of the tools recently studied is the use of Botulinum toxin. The use of Botulinum toxin has showed to be a useful aid by improving macroscopic cosmetic changes, as histopathologic ones. The increase of the tensile strength is also one of the positive changes that come with the use of botulinum toxin.

INTRODUCTION: Sexuality is one of the parameters of quality of life, and it is essential to include care for sexual dysfunctions in primary health care. OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the therapeutic approach in female sexual dysfunction in a public health outpatient clinic. DESIGN: A prospective cohort of women with sexual dysfunctions in an outpatient clinic of sexology in the Public Health System. The Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) and scored 0 - 10 their sexual satisfaction were applied at the beginning and end of the follow-up. RESULTS: Eighty-nine women were included with a median age of 45 years, 69 (77.5%) had less than 11 years of schooling and 95.5% lived with a partner. The main reasons for referral for follow-up at the outpatient clinic of sexuality were dysfunction of hypoactive sexual desire disorder in 67.4% and pain related to sexual function in 46%. The average number of consultations was five and the main therapeutic interventions were guidance and clarification on sexuality (86.5%), use of topical estrogen (56.2%), and relaxation techniques (37.1%).
