Co-pyrolysis-catalytic steam reforming of cellulose/lignin with polyethylene/polystyrene for the production of hydrogen

Co-pyrolysis of biomass biopolymers(lignin and cellulose)with plastic wastes(polyethylene and polystyrene)coupled with downstream catalytic steam reforming of the pyrolysis gases for the production of a hydrogen-rich syngas is *** catalyst used was 10 wt.%nickel supported on *** influence of the process parameters of temperature and the steam flow rate was examined to optimize hydrogen and syngas *** cellulose/plastic mixtures produced higher hydrogen yields compared with the lignin/plastic ***,the impact of raising the catalytic steam reform-ing temperature from 750 to 850 ℃was more marked for lignin *** example,the hydrogen yield for cellulose/polyethylene at a catalyst temperature of 750 ℃was 50.3 mmol g^(−1) and increased to 60.0 mmol g^(−1) at a catalyst temperature of 850°***,for the lignin/polyethylene mixture,the hydrogen yield increased from 25.0 to 50.0 mmol g^(−1) repre-senting a twofold increase in hydrogen *** greater influence on hydrogen and yield for the lignin/plastic mixtures compared to the cellulose/plastic mixtures is suggested to be due to the overlapping thermal degradation profiles of lignin and the polyethylene and *** input of steam to the catalyst reactor produced catalytic steam reforming conditions and a marked increase in hydrogen *** influence of increased steam input to the process was greater for the lignin/plastic mixtures compared to the cellulose/plastic mixtures,again linked to the overlapping thermal degradation profiles of the lignin and the plastics.A comparison of the Ni/MCM-41 catalyst with Ni/Al_(2)O_(3) and Ni/Y-zeolite-supported catalysts showed that the Ni/Al_(2)O_(3) catalyst gave higher yields of hydrogen and syngas.

BACKGROUND Para-aortic lymph nodes(PALNs)are common sites for the regional spread of cervical squamous cell carcinoma(SCC).CASE SUMMARY We report the case of a 36-year-old woman who presented with cervical SCC with multiple bulky PALNs,largest measured 4.5 cm×5 cm×10 *** patient was treated with radical intent with definitive chemoradiation using sequential doseescalated adaptive radiotherapy,followed by maintenance *** patient achieved a complete response;she has been doing well since the completion of treatment with no evidence of the disease for 2 *** Regardless of the size of PALN metastases of cervical carcinoma origin,it is still treatable(with radical intent)via concurrent *** radiotherapy allows dose escalation with minimal toxicity.

this study comprehensively examines the current state of deep learning (DL) usage in indoor *** emphasizes the significance and efficiency of convolutional neural networks (CNNs) and recurrent neuralnetworks (RNNs). Unlike prior studies focused on single sensor modalities like Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, this researchexplores the integration of multiple sensor modalities (e.g.,Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ultra-Wideband, ZigBee) to expandindoor localization methods, particularly in obstructed environments. It addresses the challenge of precise objectlocalization, introducing a novel hybrid DL approach using received signal information (RSI), Received Signalstrength (RSS), and Channel state Information (CSI) data to enhance accuracy and stability. Moreover, thestudy introduces a device-free indoor localization algorithm, offering a significant advancement with potentialobject or individual tracking applications. It recognizes the increasing importance of indoor positioning forlocation-based services. It anticipates future developments while acknowledging challenges such as multipathinterference, noise, data standardization, and scarcity of labeled data. this research contributes significantly toindoor localization technology, offering adaptability, device independence, and multifaceted DL-based solutionsfor real-world challenges and future advancements. thus, the proposed work addresses challenges in objectlocalization precision and introduces a novel hybrid deep learning approach, contributing to advancing *** deep learning-based indoor localization techniques have improved accuracy, challenges likedata noise, standardization, and availability of training data persist. However, ongoing developments are expectedto enhance indoor positioning systems to meet real-world demands.

Background Retinopathy of prematurity(ROP)is generally considered to be more frequent in males than in ***,it is not known whether sex differences in ROP affect all degrees of the condition,are global and have changed as neonatology has *** aimed to conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis of studies addressing sex differences in the risk of developing *** PubMed/MEDLINE and Embase databases were *** frequentist,random-effects risk ratio(RR)and 95%confidence interval(CI)were *** model averaged(BMA)meta-analysis was used to calculate the Bayes factors(BFs).the BF10 is the ratio of the probability of the data under the alternative hypothesis(H1)over the probability of the data under the null hypothesis(H0).Results We included 205 studies(867,252 infants).Frequentist meta-analysis showed a positive association between male sex and severe ROP(113 studies,RR=1.14,95%CI=1.07–1.22)but no association with any ROP(144 studies,RR=1.00,95%CI=0.96–1.03).BMA showed extreme evidence in favor of H1 for severe ROP(BF10=71,174)and strong evidence in favor of H0 for any ROP(BF10=0.05).the association between male sex and severe ROP remained stable over time and was present only in cohorts from countries with a high or high-middle sociodemographic *** Our study confirms the presence of a male disadvantage in severe ROP but not in less severe forms of the *** are variations in the sex differences in ROP,depending on geographical location and sociodemographic level of the countries.

Predicting the coefficient of friction in a sliding contact by applying machine learning to acoustic emission data

It is increasingly important to monitor sliding interfaces within machines,since this is where both energy is lost,and failures *** emission(AE)techniques offer a way to monitor contacts remotely without requiring transparent or electrically conductive ***,acoustic data from sliding contacts is notoriously complex and difficult to ***,we simultaneously measure coefficient of friction(with a conventional force transducer)and acoustic emission(with a piezoelectric sensor and high acquisition rate digitizer)produced by a steel‒steel rubbing *** data is then used to train machine learning(ML)algorithms(e.g.,Gaussian process regression(GPR)and support vector machine(SVM))to correlated acoustic emission with *** training requires the dense AE data to first be reduced in size and a range of processing techniques are assessed for this(e.g.,down-sampling,averaging,fast Fourier transforms(FFts),histograms).Next,fresh,unseen AE data is given to the trained model and the resulting friction predictions are compared with the directly measured *** is excellent agreement between the measured and predicted friction when the GPR model is used on AE histogram data,with root mean square(RMS)errors as low as 0.03 and Pearson correlation coefficients reaching ***,predictions remain accurate despite changes in test conditions such as normal load,reciprocating frequency,and stroke *** paves the way for remote,acoustic measurements of friction in inaccessible locations within machinery to increase mechanical efficiency and avoid costly failure/needless maintenance.

Improving Heat transfer Performance of Flat Plate Water Solar Collectors Using Nanofluids

this study delves into both experimental and analytical examinations of heat exchange in a straight channel， where Al2O3-water nanofluids are utilized， spanning the Reynolds number spectrum from 100 to 1800. Diverse volume fractions （1%， 2%， and 3%） of Al2O3-water nanofluids are meticulously prepared and analyzed. the essential physical properties of these nanofluids， critical for evaluating their thermal and flow characteristics， have been comprehensively assessed. From a quantitative perspective， numerical simulations are employed to predict the Nusselt number （Nu） and friction factor （f）. the empirical findings reveal intriguing trends: the friction factor experiences an upward trend with diminishing velocity， attributed to heightened molecular cohesion. Conversely， the friction factor demonstrates a decline with diminishing volume fractions， a consequence of reduced particle size. Both the nanofluid’s viscosity and heat transfer coefficient exhibit a rise in tandem with augmented volume flow rate and concentration gradient. Notably， the simulation results harmonize remarkably well with experimental data. Rigorous validation against prior studies underscores the robust consistency of these outcomes. In the pursuit of augmenting heat transfer， a volume fraction of 3% emerges as particularly influential， yielding an impressive 53.8% enhancement. Minor increments in the friction factor， while present， prove negligible and can be safely overlooked.

A general mirror equivalence theorem for coset vertex operator algebras

Cognitive Behavioral therapy for tinnitus in Adults: A Review of Efficacy in Quality-of-Life Enhancement

Background: tinnitus, characterized by the perception of sounds without an external source, significantly affects quality of life. Cognitive Behavioral therapy (CBt) has emerged as a promising approach for managing tinnitus-related distress and enhancing psychological well-being. Objectives: this review aims to analyze the effectiveness of CBt in tinnitus management, focusing on alleviating distress, enhancing coping mechanisms, and improving overall well-being. Methods: PubMed and World of Science databases were systematically searched using keywords related to tinnitus, CBt, and quality of life. English, peer-reviewed studies focusing on adult populations were included. studies involving pediatric populations or not meeting inclusion criteria were excluded. Data extraction was performed using PRISMA guidelines, with a narrative synthesis approach for analysis. Methodological quality and risk of bias were assessed using appropriate tools. the search engine initially identified 155 studies that met the inclusion criteria for the systematic review. However, upon further evaluation, 140 of these studies were excluded due to their non-randomized design. Of the remaining 15 studies, 11 were found to be partially accessible but ultimately excluded from the review as they did not meet the full accessibility criteria. therefore, only four studies remained in the review, deemed suitable for inclusion based on their randomized design and full accessibility. Results: studies by Beukes et al. [1]-[3] and Simoes et al. [4] evaluated CBt’s effectiveness. With internet-based CBt, Beukes et al. demonstrated reductions in tinnitus distress, negative cognitions, and comorbidities. Simoes et al. proposed combination treatments for tinnitus management. the review outcome suggests that CBt is an effective treatment for tinnitus, as it can help reduce tinnitus distress and improve quality of life.
