Today, micro-system technology and the development of new MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) are emerging rapidly. In order for this development to become a success in the long run, measurement systems have to ensure product quality. Most often, MEMS have to be tested by means of functionality or destructive tests. One reason for this is that there are no suitable systems or sensing probes available which can be used for the measurement of quasi inaccessible features like small holes or cavities. We present a measurement system that could be used for these kinds of measurements. The system combines a fiber optical, miniaturized sensing probe with low-coherence interferometry, so that absolute distance measurements with nanometer accuracy are possible.

针对大型部件加工的公差范围在低位变动时，达到几个微米。精密加工可以提高诸如涡轮机、船舶和飞机等方面的制造效益，因此也成为发达国家的生产驱动力。对加工精度产生影响的一个主要影响因素便是机床设备和部件的不断变化着的热塑性状态。各种不同的内外部热源及其下降都会对机床设备和部件的结构产生影响，例如在加工车间里因新部件送抵而开启车间大门，从而导致机床和部件的温度突降，如果说此类干扰源还可以被规划并可以相当容易地被克服的活，那么诸如加工废热和冷却润滑剂对机床设备和部件外形的影响刚更加复杂。

Today’s production systems are demanded to exhibit an increased flexibility and mutability in order to deal with dynamically changing conditions, objectives and an increasing number of product variants within industrial turbulent environments. Flexible automated systems are requested in order to improve dynamic production efficiency, e. g. robot-based hardware and PC-based controllers, but these usually induce a significantly higher production complexity, whereby the efforts for planning and programming, but also setups and reconfiguration, expand. In this paper a definition and some concepts of self-optimizing assembly systems are presented to describe possible ways to reduce the planning efforts in complex production systems. The concept of self-optimization in assembly systems will be derived from a theoretical approach and will be transferred to a specific application scenario—-the automated assembly of a miniaturized solid state laser—-where the challenges of unpredictable influences from e. g. component tolerances can be overcome by the help of self-optimization.

Orthognathic Surgery Combined with Partial Lipectomy of the Buccal Fat Pad： Case Report on Optimization of Esthetic Outcome

Orthognathic surgery involves correction of functional and often esthetic disharmonies. The purpose of this case report is topresent the case of a 22 years-old female with class III dentofacial deformity that required orthognathic surgery to treat hermalocclusion and buccal fat pad excision for optimizing soft-tissue facial contour. Treatment planning involved a counterclockwiserotation of the maxilomandibular complex with genioplasty based on digital 3D surgical planning using the Dolphin Imaging 11.7 3DPremium software. Prototyping splints allowed surgical procedures （bilateral sagital mandibular osteotomy associated to a Le fort Iosteotomy） that corrected position of the gnathic bones. In the same surgical procedure, the buccal fat pad was partially removed for asharp cheek contour giving a slimmer appearance to her face. After 5 months, the patient was reassessed and reported no complaintsregarding esthetics or function. This case illustrates that a combination oforthognathic surgery and an esthetic procedure can result in astable and harmonious facial as well as occlusal outcomes.

The adipose body of cheek is the tissue located in the buccal space. In the past, the partial removal of this tissue, called jugal lipectomy, was indicated to fill defects resulting from buccosinusal communications and/or maxillary resections. Recently, such technique became popular in facial aesthetics as it gives patients the feel of a more delicate face, in which the zygomatic bone appears to be more prominent due to the reduction in the volume of the cheeks. However, many professionals are unaware of how to establish the correct diagnosis of facial volume alterations, as well as in performing and treating the complications that may arise from jugal lipectomy. The aim of this paper is to present three clinical cases with different applications of jugal lipectomy, discussing some relevant aspects of surgical planning that involve the request for imaging exams and a previous study of this tissue's anatomical features.

Influence of irritable bowel syndrome on treatment outcome in gastroesophageal reflux disease

AIM: To investigate the influence of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)-like symptoms on treatment outcomes with pantoprazole in gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) in a real life setting. METHODS: For this prospective, open-label, multinational, multicentre study, 1888 patients assessed by the investigators as suffering from GERD were recruited. The patients were additionally classified as with or without IBS-like symptoms at baseline. They were treated with pantoprazole 40 mg once daily and completed the Reflux Questionnaire (ReQuest) short version daily. Response rates and symptom scores were compared after 4 and 8 wk of treatment for subgroups defined by the subclasses of GERD [erosive(ERD) and non-erosive reflux disease (NERD)] and the presence of IBS-like symptoms. RESULTS: IBS-like symptoms were more prevalent in NERD than in ERD (18.3% vs 12.7%, P = 0.0015). Response rates after 4 and/or 8 wk of treatment were lower in patients with IBS-like symptoms than in patients without IBS-like symptoms in both ERD (Week 4: P < 0.0001, Week 8: P < 0.0339) and NERD (Week 8: P = 0.0088). At baseline, ReQuest "lower abdominal com- plaints" symptom scores were highest in NERD patients with IBS-like symptoms. Additionally, these patients had the strongest symptom improvement after treatment compared with all other subgroups. CONCLUSION: IBS-like symptoms influence treatment outcome and symptom burden in GERD and should be considered in management. Proton pump inhibitors can improve IBS-like symptoms, particularly in NERD.
